When I watched the Hunger for the first time, I thought Murphy was performing alone and then noticed a brief shot of the edge of a guitar. It is incredible to hear he still has the same bass guitar. Imagine Bowie and David J hung around a jukebox. They always dress well with suits and make the cool brothers. David, I still don’t let my hope up and wait for your second book that features your stories on Jazz Butcher and Love & Rockets. I suspect you intentionally left out.
Glad you enjoyed it! In retrospect, I really wish I had asked David what Bowie was wearing when this happened. Was he in costume? I assume they were working on the club scene with the band at the beginning. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
@@rocdocs that introduction to the movie. I remember hearing a quote from Bowie, and I paraphrase, talking about how the first 12 minutes of the movie really popped and had a strong rhythm. He seem particularly pleased with that first introduction in the beginning. I fantasize that when he had that conversation with the Bauhaus David, in front of the jukebox, I fantasize he was wearing a sharp suit. And maybe those round mirrored glasses.

@@rocdocs Sorry for the slow reply. When I purchased, Who Killed MR. Moonlight: BAUHAUS, Black Majik and Benediction. It took me a few months to read, as I would read a dozen or so pages, then I would put the book down for a few days-- as I would envision each situation. That and I never wanted it (the book) to end! But wow! was that a tell-all memoir!

Love the interview but I have to say there is nothing similar between the bauhaus and trojan records logos other then they're both circles.
