Yes I'm aware that tmac did that, but that doesn't mean he's a remembered legend amongst all basketball fans. Love tmac but the legacy he could've left behind is forgotten
JaVaughn McGregor agreed. Hands down my top 5. It was Kobe VS Tracy as #1 in the league. Until it wasn't, anyone who argues the fact clearly doesn't remember those days.
JaVaughn McGregor his jumper was so unique, I always Loved & looked forward to watching him play. In my opinion there still hasn't been another player with style like his. That jumpshot was savage, form all his own..
EatinMonstersSince87 Both T-Mac and Kobe could kill you with such style and grace. Their styles had so much swag and jazz but venomous at the same time. It wasn't like Russ is now where he has to play mean to have that killer instinct and mentality. They were so smooth and poetic in motion.
What do you guys think of Vince Carter? It was being argued in another video that Vince Carter in his prime was better than McGrady. I don't really care to argue who was better, but do you think its a rational argument? Of course, if you argue Vince was as good as/better than T-mac, you'd also have to argue he was as good as/better than Kobe since Mcgrady i think i can say confidently was universally argued as being better than kobe or as good as him for many years.
Nigga Shit the fuck up lol. Rookie wade was killin tmac. Rookie wade took his team almost to the ecf. what the fuck did mcgrady do? wade got finals mvp with shaq averaging 13 ppg. tmac had yao for 19 easily and couldn't do Shit. Wade was finals mvp for a reason. 35 8 and 4.

Thanks for the memories, T-Mac.
ironically the first nba game I've ever watched on tv was Magic vs Clippers, but I never understood that game. Then, Tmac became my fav player growing up along with my friends and cousins! Man... talent wise. Tmac > kobe.. but longevity, health, and real hard work goes to Kobe. Tmac and Grant Hill in Magic coulda been the icing on the cake bois!
We still remember McGrady, which is the ultimate test of skill. I have had back problems for years, and I know how frustrating it is never to get better. As far as him not being a team leader, that's ok. We don't hold it against Pippen that Jordan ran the team. You sometimes need a great player that is willing to not be the leader.
NOBODY has forgot T-Mac, You wanna talk about a guy people forgot, Bring up Gilbert Arenas or Steve Francis, Even Brandon Roy, T-Mac was every kids favorite player growing up nobody forgot that.
Tracy McGrady and Derrick Rose have to have two of the most tragic NBA stories of all time. Although Tracy achieved so much in the NBA he could’ve done more and although Rose was the youngest MVP in league history and multi-time All-Star he could’ve been an all time great but injuries caused both of them to fall short of greatness.

He didn't fall into the kind of financial, drug, and money traps that a lot of his contemporaries did & he's carving out a pretty good career as a hoops commentator. And I got to give him major props for what he's done. He lost one of the vital parts of his life, picked himself up, dusted himself off, moved on and found something else he was good at. For the record, though, T-Mac really was insanely good before he got hurt. Much respect to him.
I remember the game where he scored 62 points. He was still in Orlando. He was my favorite player. What a talent. Too bad he never had players in his team that could help him to reach the finals and win a championship. Even Kobe said that T-Mac was the best guard he ever encountered with. Enough said.. T-Mac is a legend. Respect!
Huh, one thing I don't agree with in this video is that it seems to portray Tmac as forgotten and a "could have been" a legend. Isn't Tmac a legend already?
T-Mac is my 3rd all-time favorite player behind LeBron and Mark Price.. Kobe vs T-Mac was the big debate, especially that '02-'03 season, T-Mac all day.. I also used to always rock his shoes, all white with a little gray..
It's official, if you ever put on a magic jersey your career will end due to injuries. Shaq Tracy Dwight Howard(eventually) Penny Grant Sheeeesh maybe the magic have bad luck
Duffman ! Did I say their careers would end in Orlando? I said that their careers would end because of injury. Grant hills career ended because of injury so did shaqs, penny's, and Tracy McGrady. Dwight Howard has been dealing with major back issues for the past 4 seasons now.
I was one of the biggest T-Mac fans. He had otherwordly talent. He could shoot, pass, drive, rebound, and play defense. His career was disappointing, but the fact he never played with superstars in his prime, other than Yao Ming, was telling. His best chance was in Houston, but that teams was Yao and Tracy with a lot of role players. And yes, his injuries decimated him. The final factor, he was unable to will his team to win like some of the greats. But if you look at great NBA championship teams, they usually have 3 Superstars and very good role players.
David Schlessinger true t-mac was a god in the 08 season when they went on the winning streak. It’s sad that injuries kept him from being his best . Sad to see him retire at 32 :(
TMac is one of my all time favorites. Got to wonder if his body breaking down has to do with coming straight from high school. He was probably putting a ton of wear and tear on his body before it was done developing
Excellent analogy since Kobe and Lebron both came str8 from High School, VC as well (39 y/o and still playing). His body breaking down has nothing to do with him coming straight out of highschool.
Ovais A hey guess what, not everybody's body is the same and reacts the same to shit. Development can be slower or faster in different people. They're body's may have been ready for the workload and T Macs wasn't. Fuck off
Lol, didn't think I would hurt your feelings, princess! His body breaking down has to do with how HE took care of it/developed it compared to the others, along with some bad luck with injuries mainly back issues later in his career.
He should stayed 1 more yr with Spurs because they got revenge on Heat the following yr winning the Championship after they loss to them in Finals in 2013! But TMAC should have won a ring 2013 if that was his final NBA career but he was mostly on the bench
You didn't mention the fact that he signed with the Spurs during the 2013 Playoffs to try to win a championship, only to have it stolen away by f#%king Ray Allen. Also, don't dog my man Chuck Hayes. Dude didn't have the talent of an all-star but always gave everything he had and had a great basketball IQ. That's why he was the leader. It's sad, he's not even included in the 2008 Rockets team on NBA 2k18.
I watched a couple of your videos and i liked them, but have to disagree w/ you on this one. It`s kinda disrespectful to call him "tragic", and "forgotten", b/c he`s neither. All the true fans remember him as one of the best sg`s in his era.He has utmost respect from all of the bball greats and is now nominated for the hall of fame.Even the youngsters know about how great he was trough watching highlights and playing 2k.Yeah it`s sad he didn`t get a ring and his career got shortend by injuries but he still left a mark and i`m pretty sure will be remembered for many years to come.
Matt Layne Hmm.. Id say it was tragic if you look at what he wouldve become but because he was so good and put up unbelievable numbers while having those injuries it seems as if it wasnt tragic. Thats just a testament to how great Tmac was. Just the fact that he was able to put those crazy numbers and highlights together while having to deal with these things.
I went to the rockets nuggets game and he was there for his introduction into the hall of fame, they gave us cool bobbleheads of his 13 in 35 game. Mad respect for T-Mac✊🏼
To this day, the13 pts in 30 some seconds performance by T-mac is still one of the single greatest single player efforts to ever witness and the reason I don't turn off games when a team is up by 12 with less then a minute left in the 4th.
overall yes i pick kobe on my team to win championship. But if tmac lebron kobe on the same team Tmac would be better at scoring. kobe lebron would be a playmaker. overal kobe win but tmac i pick him bettter scorer. durant + paul george = TMAC prime
3:45, Bruh T-mac was seconds away form winning a title in 2013....he made it to the finals with the spurs. What you talking about he never made it out the first round?
Montana Runser HoldThisL He Didn't. He finished his first stint in the nba, went overseas for a year, then came back and played a final season on the spurs. Who's the dumbass now? you can't even get your facts str8 with the entirety of the internet at your disposal.
Dylan Muir That's not the fucking point you imbecile. Tracy McGrady rode the bench that entire series and hardly stepped out on to the court. So yes technically, Tracy McGrady has played past the first round of any playoffs. But this video talks about the prime healthy Tmac which we have NEVER seen past the first round.
And when I mean stepped out on court I meant the Tracy McGrady that compared to Kobe and was an all star. Tmac at the time was not himself and you can't count him making it past the first round when he was carried by the rest of the Spurs team
The 99-00 raptors would SHOULD of won a championship, my favourite team of all time. Vince carter and T.Mac, as well as some other great players. Like for real, if not then, vince carter should of tried harder, not given up and requested a trade and t.mac should of re-signed
for kids not knowing tmac went to Houston to join Yao... they were made to stop the Shaq and kobe Lakers. problem is they never played a full season together! a healthy rocket team and there is no laker dynasty in the 2000s
Agreed. Every time I remember T-Mac, I get to wondering how killer the Carter-McGrady twosome could have been. It was reported that he wanted his own team so he moved. But I always felt like he just got bad advice/guidance. He was pretty young when he decided to move.
Watching this hurts my heart! tmac was the best unless you saw him live you wouldn't appreciate him. same thing for penny hardaway, man its tough being a life long magic fan
As a Toronto fan, it's honestly depressing that we couldn't keep him and Vince. I wish we could shake this shitty stigma that free agents seem to have against us, because these days we're one of the best-run orgs in the league!
In the title it says; Tracy McGrady: The NBA’s Most Tragic & Forgotten Star. T-Mac was definitely the most Forgotten player. However theirs no question that the most tragic career so far has been Derrick Rose. He went from MVP to Role Player in 2 years.
Mcgrady was better than Kobe although Kobe was a great player. Kobe had a stronger will more heart & desire than Mcgrady. So u can be a great player without desire it don't mean shit. Kobe could impose his will on the game like Jordan with a desire to win. Mcgrady didn't have a strong enough will to win.
Yup, true. If Mcgrady would've played 15-20 years without major injuries like MJ & Kobe (aside from the achilles) i think he would've won at least 3 championships and would've been up there with the greats. He was Kevin Durant before Kevin Durant. The same applies with Grant Hill. Who knows.
T-Mac could have been the closest to MJ, because of his athleticism and shooting style, if it wasn't for all of his injuries and unfortunately his lack of hard work
This guy was destined to be one of the most recognized and outstanding talents to ever play basketball and it never happened. Natural talent like this was only seen in players like Michael and Kobe. The speed, the athleticism and skills where all there. The man was amazing to watch but I guess some things where missing from his career decision making which led to the downfalls. Im still surprised that someone as gifted as this found it extremely hard to produce a championship, I mean not even one.
McGrady’s career wasn’t a failure. Don’t measure everything on championships. Malone is one of the greatest and he never won a championship. Also injuries can happen to any player and that doesn’t take anything away on how great they are. Also what if McGrady would have retired at his prime, how great would you remember him as? Don’t think that only players that have no injuries and stay consistent over 15 years are great. Think of the greatness T-Mac brought to the game that all other legends he played against remember and respect.
forgotten? tmac aint forgotten lol hes a legend.
Naw man he's forgotten. He's not a legend and that's the point, he could've been
who holds the record for most points scored in the least amount of time?
Yes I'm aware that tmac did that, but that doesn't mean he's a remembered legend amongst all basketball fans. Love tmac but the legacy he could've left behind is forgotten
his 13 points in 33 sec is am official record lol...no one ever named that an official record
Alex Skywalker too bad most of my classmate dont know tmac
T-mac was Kobe Bryant without the success.... I'm old enough to know and witness his whole career.
JaVaughn McGregor agreed. Hands down my top 5. It was Kobe VS Tracy as #1 in the league. Until it wasn't, anyone who argues the fact clearly doesn't remember those days.
EatinMonstersSince87 couldn't have stated it better 👌🏾

My players name in 2k is Tracy McGrady, people really ask me who's Tracy McGrady and that makes me pissed AF.
They must be very young
dah500 yeah so calm down dude damn
Flash 2557 I'm not like screaming at them for not knowing. I'm just like man really?
Sad they don't know.
+Doknot1999 I watch your videos
If both Ming and McGrady could have BOTH stayed healthy for a few consecutive seasons, that Houston team would have been very dangerous.
schism206 or if grant hill stayed healthy and they got tim Duncan
and if steve francis still in houston. yao, tmac and francis. wow
schism206 + Harden and CP3 they. would be a long dynasty
schism206 well we're dangerous now with harden and chris paul
Lakers fan lmao I found that out when he injured his hamstring. What a bunch of shit
Guarantee if T-Mac was healthy his whole career, he would be better than D-Wade and AI, and that says a lot.
Even Kobe.
My thoughts exactly
and if dwyane Wade didn't have bad knees then what?.....
35 8 and 4.
sxt35cc hurtf wade was in college for like 3 or 4 years and tmac was only 18 years old as a rookie
makes me so sad as a magic fan knowing McGrady and dwight Howard could've made a amazing duo
T Mac and Grant Hill was supposed to be sick
couldve, shouldve, wouldve.
The Viper Of Death Penny is really the most forgotten star
I could have been the most amazing asian player in the NBA...then i realised i was asian....should've could've
Chris Rodriguez yeah man I'm also an orlando fan, its almos tragic, they would've been serious threat to kobe-shaq duo.
T-Mac was truly special in his prime. All my friends wanted to be like Kobe back in the day, but I remember pretending to ball like T-Mac on the court.
I'm fortunate to have seen him live once late in his career. It was a game in Washington when he played for the Knicks. T-Mac dropped 23 points that game in limited minutes. Though the high-flying athleticism was long-gone, I was in awe of his masterful finishing around the rim and through contact. Some of that former brilliance was still there. Thanks for the memories, T-Mac.
T mac 2 adidas, what a time to be alive
i've seen him with houston against golden state in oakland in 05
ironically the first nba game I've ever watched on tv was Magic vs Clippers, but I never understood that game. Then, Tmac became my fav player growing up along with my friends and cousins! Man... talent wise. Tmac > kobe.. but longevity, health, and real hard work goes to Kobe. Tmac and Grant Hill in Magic coulda been the icing on the cake bois!
thereisnospectrum also that too. Tmac snkrs were famous and were the grails in our time growing up in the Philippines
I once watched him drop 50 against Detroit in Orlando. It was crazy
i don't care what anyone says Tracy is one of the greatest of all time without a ring
thomas burke Iverson is better, by a bit
thomas burke he got a ring from the spurs
Andy Magbalot he doesn't tho
Andy Magbalot uhh no he doesn't
W
Stephon Marbury has to be one of those forgotten stars, he was a 22 and 8 guy but simply just uncoachable. It's a shame what happened to him
Kristaps Porzingod TMac averaged 32 ppl at age 23... nuff said
Mike, You should make a what if video of what would happen if Marbury stayed with the Timberwolves and KG.
My thoughts exactly
If you're unchoachable then you're not a star
Stephen Lillard not true, LBJ is pretty much uncoachable and does his thing on the court and look where he is now.
Dale Holmgren yeah but he needed to be the leader
Mone Hoyt Somebody needed to.
Mone Hoyt
Dale Holmgren
Yes, it worked pretty well for the Bulls. But many (Bulls) say Pip was a leader, perhaps not the leader, but a leader.
Tragic yes but Forgotten hell no
@MUFC cool cool who asked?
@MUFC get the fuck out of here good for u and ur ⚽
@MUFC boring sport
@MUFC who gives a fuckkkk!!!
Yea
For those of us who can remember Tracy used to be an unstoppable beast🙏🏿Shame his career didn't work out. Also I always used him in 2k😹😹
Depends on who you ask.

2k? It was all about Nba live with Tmac
Adam Leon hahahaha forreal man im glad im not the only one who caught that. Live was the shit back then 👍🏾
Oh my God. Jesus, go to sleep. It's 2am already. Your mom will scold you.
I wanted Spurs to beat Heat in 2013 just so that Tmac could get a ring.

Sritanshu Sinha shush
I was depressed for 2 days knowing T-mac would never get a ring when the Finals ended

lmao he was hiding in that finals
tbh I think most forgotten star is Pete Maravich... he created dribble moves you see today... I mean yall dead forgot about the man
KozmoGames and he's just plain dead
TheDAWinz 💀
hes litterally dead

Pistol Pete a legend.
T-Mac is also Vinsanity's cousin. Good genes.
TenThumbs Productions and Tracy McGrady and Vince carter cousins. That’s 4 cousins. Good jeans
I mean, third cousins. I do wonder how much they actually share genetically at that point to chalk it up to genes.
They should've stayed together in Canada. Egos
@LaRon Mathews That's a pretty cool coincidence!
Step-Great-Grandfather, now there's a mouthful.
T-mac was my guy on nba live 2003. unstoppable beast.
my thoughts exactly
Hell yea bro
NBA Live 2006, he was the only player I used..
NBA live 2005, u go to three pointer and hold down shoot at exactly 2.5 or 3 seconds, guarantee in
NBA2k7....
Dammit! Why did he have to leave VC and the Raptors?!
he wanted to be the main star.
Well, that's what he gets for being greedy
SwishCam well if he didn't get traded, he NEVER would've got the recognition he got in Orlando and Houston
Zenyatta Is Goat They had a potential super duo. If they lived up to it, they would've gotten more than recognition.
Damn, I don't really think that's necessary. I'm not hating on you tho HATER1226. I'm from Toronto btw.
NOBODY has forgot T-Mac, You wanna talk about a guy people forgot, Bring up Gilbert Arenas or Steve Francis, Even Brandon Roy, T-Mac was every kids favorite player growing up nobody forgot that.

T Mac was fukin crazy in his prime, his scoring ability was insane. UNSTOPPABLE.
Isn’t Tracy in the hall of fame
He is . As he well should be.
Course he is everyone is
Big Chungus that’s true but tmac deserves it lol but fr there’s some random ass people in the hof
Sadly, hé is.
What he's saying is: how can he be forgotten if he's in the HOF
Let's be honest--McGrady's career was pretty tragic & I expect he spends a lot of time in physical therapy and whatnot but he's still doing well for himself. He didn't fall into the kind of financial, drug, and money traps that a lot of his contemporaries did & he's carving out a pretty good career as a hoops commentator. Tmac had the best shoes back then
True, who didn't own a pair of TMac's, one of the most sold basketball shoes of all time
Ovais A I had a pair when I was little
Ovais A Jim to
If u didn't own a pair of them back then don't talk to me about basketball today
No way bro, those things were almost as square as kobes shoes lol 😂
He isn't forgotten he just has extremely bad luck
It's truly saddening.
I wish TMac played as long as Kobe but sad he didnt 😔
Andrew Wahwai Now Penny Hardaway truly is a forgotten star
Kwame The God what happened to penny after Shaq left anyways.
I could have been a star in the NBA....damn you bad luck....why do i have to be a 5'9 asian??? why???
I remember the game where he scored 62 points. He was still in Orlando. He was my favorite player. What a talent. Too bad he never had players in his team that could help him to reach the finals and win a championship. Even Kobe said that T-Mac was the best guard he ever encountered with. Enough said.. T-Mac is a legend. Respect!
Huh, one thing I don't agree with in this video is that it seems to portray Tmac as forgotten and a "could have been" a legend. Isn't Tmac a legend already?
shogrran they mean all time great. he could've been argued for top 20 players of all time but that never happened
GNB so Reggie Miller, Dominique Wilkins, Allen Iverson, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Dikembe Mutumbo, are not legends?
shogrran he is great player really good but faded out.he is not a legend.a superstar yes a legend no.he is kind in my opinion a derrick rose.
Ike's Lions Den half those guys have won the MVP
I think he meant tragic that his career didn’t go as long as expected
I still think Tracy McGrady is a legend.
My thoughts exactly

T-Mac is my 3rd all-time favorite player behind LeBron and Mark Price.. Kobe vs T-Mac was the big debate, especially that '02-'03 season, T-Mac all day.. I also used to always rock his shoes, all white with a little gray..
BB13131313 yeah and he dropped Kobe that year also
BB13131313 ayyeee hip
Mark Price? you must be a Cleveland resident?
BB13131313 L
Yo Mammas Boo it's an opinion you moron. No L's or W's.
Tmac played on the spurs in 2013. Spurs made the final which means he made it past the first round
AI TMAC and KOBE are some of the best SGs in nab history! what a joy it was to see them all playing at the same time
NBA*
Andrea Rossi mel and MJ
And D Wade
Thats ur opinion, most people disagree tho
Did Iverson have LBJ or Shaq with him when he made finals? Trust me, if Dwade was the only all star on Miami there would be no rings and worse stats
It's official, if you ever put on a magic jersey your career will end due to injuries.
Shaq
Tracy
Dwight Howard(eventually)
Penny
Grant
Sheeeesh maybe the magic have bad luck
Shaq never had injuries that made him lose his Shaqness
DrYourMomma his back and knees. I think he was like running down court and messed up his back or something
Howard and Hawks are in first place, shaq won like 6 rings after leaving the Magic and Grant has just recently retired after a long career so...
Duffman ! Did I say their careers would end in Orlando? I said that their careers would end because of injury. Grant hills career ended because of injury so did shaqs, penny's, and Tracy McGrady. Dwight Howard has been dealing with major back issues for the past 4 seasons now.
Duffman ! Also Shaq won 5
false, tmac made it out of the first round with the spurs in 2013. Then lost in the finals
True
yup
well tecnically mcgrady have little to do with that, he was bascially more along for the ride, barle even played in the playoffs.
If you're a true NBA fan, you wouldn't count that. Like if KD win a ring on GSW, it will not be counted on his legacy. lol
ik but its still a fact that he rode the spurs two the finals in 2013.
But if you look at great NBA championship teams, they usually have 3 Superstars and very good role players.
keep up these good videos
Fuck off
Luke than you just answered your own question dip shit.
Lol, didn't think I would hurt your feelings, princess! His body breaking down has to do with how HE took care of it/developed it compared to the others, along with some bad luck with injuries mainly back issues later in his career.
He's had back problems before he got drafted and his doctors predicted he would only last 4 years in the NBA
T-Mac is definitely one of my favorite players of all time and also wasn't he on the 2012-2013 Spurs team that lost the Finals?
Mike probably didnt count it because he's just a bench warmer by then.
INJURIES
He should stayed 1 more yr with Spurs because they got revenge on Heat the following yr winning the Championship after they loss to them in Finals in 2013! But TMAC should have won a ring 2013 if that was his final NBA career but he was mostly on the bench
Your voice actually grinds me. He’s not forgotten by any means. Guys was an All-Star.
the background music you use bro makes it so dramatic, props, you should be doing documentary work for Epson, or start your own company
espn* lol auto correct
mike could do a what if episode for epson and i would prolly watch it hahaha
real rap
T-Mac, Vince, and Bosh could've happened, smh.
They wouldn't have gotten a high draft pick with T-Mac and Carter leading their team thus not being able to draft Bosh
I had to be that guy
+SiirPrize lmao
VC and T-Mac would have still been a beast duo
The Raptors would've been too good to draft Bosh unless they traded for him.
T-Mac, Hill, and Howard could've also happened.
T Mac still my favorite player idgaf, Still got the T mac 2's and 3's
D3migod yeah, he's hardly "tragic". He had a good little run. Penny and Grant Hill were more "tragic" to me. B Roy also.
dude how cn you honestly say his career wasn;t tragic.
Agreed. "Tragic" is such a stretch. Tragic is Brandon Roy. Tragic is Greg Oden.
Ghost It’s tragic and he’s forgotten more than he could have been remembered cuz his career wasn’t what it could have been
I went to the rockets nuggets game and he was there for his introduction into the hall of fame, they gave us cool bobbleheads of his 13 in 35 game. Mad respect for T-Mac✊🏼
Injuries...I loved Tmac man. He single handedly almost beat my Pistons in the playoffs in 03...
To this day, the13 pts in 30 some seconds performance by T-mac is still one of the single greatest single player efforts to ever witness and the reason I don't turn off games when a team is up by 12 with less then a minute left in the 4th.
If McGrady had stayed in Toronto no question they would've won a championship.
Matt Scott
I'm up
No
There's always a question
Nope
lol
tracy played in the finals
you mean with the spurs?
+NameYourChannel yeah
reppinTexas_Hesh he said that
he didn't play a single minute. but yeah he was on the roster
reppinTexas_Hesh tracy mcgrady is the only player who deserved to get carried to the finals.
do one about Brandon Roy
I agree Roy also had potential but the injury bug hit him as well
Hit him? He didn't get hit he got hit up side the head with a baseball bat by injuries.
Blaaz3r if you are trying to be funny your profile pic is my expression
Francisco Dardon I don't remember asking.
+Blaaz3r nah he got nuked by injuries that guy had horrible luck sad to see too
Since 2k14 in 2K MyLeague I created a 6'9" SG/PG and simmed his career, this dude is always a God! TMac was the biggest inspiration.
Tracy could've been just as good as Kobe and this is coming from a Kobe Stan
He was just as good from 2000-2005. Then he started suffering from severe back spasms and knee injuries.
overall yes i pick kobe on my team to win championship. But if tmac lebron kobe on the same team Tmac would be better at scoring. kobe lebron would be a playmaker. overal kobe win but tmac i pick him bettter scorer. durant + paul george = TMAC prime
I knew T-Mac was good but not that good😂💯Thanks for that lesson Mike !!
Glad you enjoyed it my man!
hello
K1ng Jay yea
he was that good
Its because Tracy McGrady couldnt keep his eyes on the prize they seem to be looking at different directions.
Tmac was probably one of the best one on one players in the game I ever saw
3:45, Bruh T-mac was seconds away form winning a title in 2013....he made it to the finals with the spurs. What you talking about he never made it out the first round?
He retired in 2011.
Whatever you think I take offense.
Tmac at the time was not himself and you can't count him making it past the first round when he was carried by the rest of the Spurs team
tmac is still a great player and my favorite nba star 🏆
teach these children please, Mac was that dude...........
Chris Santana yup
T-Mac was the man! When I was a kid you wore Jordans or T-Macs.... Kobe shoes were ugly
yeah old kobes were ugly
Can't forget the iversons
Yeah I cant forget about the Iversons either.
t mac is shit
stfu
For Tmac we all won Him Championships on NBA Live and 2K
Penny Hardaway is the most tragic forgotten star in the NBA cmon cuh
SIDE MAN facts
Grant Hill is in that conversation too
I also think Brandon Roy should be considered as well.
Penny never reached his potential.
SIDE MAN ummm drose did you guys forget about him
The 99-00 raptors would SHOULD of won a championship, my favourite team of all time. Vince carter and T.Mac, as well as some other great players. Like for real, if not then, vince carter should of tried harder, not given up and requested a trade and t.mac should of re-signed
Also (in 2k anyway) 07-08 rockets are beast
It's a known fact that T-mac does not want to stay as Vince's shadow. Both were great and both would hold back each other.
He had a poor supporting cast. The only chance he had is with Vince. Leaving the Raptors was a mistake.
Joey Sparks also retiring too early.
Joey Sparks also retiring too early.
And One He was plagued with injuries, he didnt want to retire
for kids not knowing tmac went to Houston to join Yao...
they were made to stop the Shaq and kobe Lakers. problem is they never played a full season together! a healthy rocket team and there is no laker dynasty in the 2000s
I think it was to make a shaq Kobe duo not stop as it was after
@@danny_playz736 lol Shaq and Kobe stopped themselves already by the time Tmac and Yao joined.
Tracy is not forgotten in my eyes. he could've been goat but injuries derailed his career.
Biggest what if ever in basketball history is Penny Hardaway
grant hill would like to have a word
Brandon Roy, Grant Hill
Brandon Roy is the biggest one
definitely d rose or Brandon roy
Len Bias..Benji Wilson...
Do a video for why Kyrie Irving is overrated
yea he should
Vaijon Horton W
uncle drew is the real deal, he does take a ton of stupid shots....but with no kyriee no chip for the land
made nbas unanimous poster boy Stephanie curry look like a scrub
Vaijon Horton Found the salty Golden State L's fan.
Trscy is a legend and best of all time!!
T-Mac is my fav of all-time.. I knew all of this
Moral of the story, he should have stayed with the Raptors.
Agreed. Every time I remember T-Mac, I get to wondering how killer the Carter-McGrady twosome could have been. It was reported that he wanted his own team so he moved. But I always felt like he just got bad advice/guidance. He was pretty young when he decided to move.
My Spurs tried to get T-Mac a championship. I wished he could have gotten one with my Spurs. I think that was his closest to ever getting one.
Same with Brandon Roy.
Lechoke
SoNyuhBigBangShiDae 3-1
SoNyuhBigBangShiDae LeGoat
nba live 07 up in here
SLiMy BaNdIt lol
SLiMy BaNdIt big facts
T Mac a legend in my eyes lol he scored 13 points in 35 seconds
33 seconds
I remember wearing my brand new white and blue stripped T-MAC 2's to middle school and practice like I was the shit lmfao
can you do a what if Tracy Mcgrady didn't left Toronto?
yea
what if there was a g hill, howard, and Tmac? Oh my lord!!
Nick Smith did one already
Eddie Thomas and if Tim Duncan signed in 2000 holy shit
You're about 20 ytears late
Do "what if penny hardaway never got hurt"
Bryan Street, not top 5 chill.
Watching this hurts my heart! tmac was the best unless you saw him live you wouldn't appreciate him. same thing for penny hardaway, man its tough being a life long magic fan
Hector Mangual you had some amazing years with penny and tmac tho
As a Toronto fan, it's honestly depressing that we couldn't keep him and Vince. I wish we could shake this shitty stigma that free agents seem to have against us, because these days we're one of the best-run orgs in the league!
In the title it says; Tracy McGrady: The NBA’s Most Tragic & Forgotten Star. T-Mac was definitely the most Forgotten player. However theirs no question that the most tragic career so far has been Derrick Rose. He went from MVP to Role Player in 2 years.
Rose? no.... the most tragic is T-Mac's career.
Personally being from Chicago I totally agree.
you can put brandon roy in there
Death Reaper and grant hill
T-Mac literally did it by himself, like LeBron had to do.
Joshua Amos His back just couldn't hold up sadly.
Joshua Amos true if only he was as durable as LeBron , tracy is still one of my favorites
Hiphopcents1987 one on one I take Tmac all day
Yup, true. If Mcgrady would've played 15-20 years without major injuries like MJ & Kobe (aside from the achilles) i think he would've won at least 3 championships and would've been up there with the greats. He was Kevin Durant before Kevin Durant. The same applies with Grant Hill. Who knows.
Excellent point, Kobe certainly had the stronger will, and that makes a HUGE difference, just look at lil Russel Westbrook tearin it up
true you can already tell he was just out there to score
Hiphopcents1987 : Way better, talent wise
Tmac's shot posture and foot landing was one of the reasons why he had repeated back spasms. But still Tmac is my favorite Player.
T-Mac could have been the closest to MJ, because of his athleticism and shooting style, if it wasn't for all of his injuries and unfortunately his lack of hard work
fuck, this is like the 20th video of your I watched. I might as well subscribe, huh?lol
Im still surprised that someone as gifted as this found it extremely hard to produce a championship, I mean not even one.
please do what if shaq never left the magic and thus penny never got injured
Yes i agree
I seen the documentary on him and Penny on the Magic it was crazy mann
kobe would have never had 5 rings
McGrady’s career wasn’t a failure. Don’t measure everything on championships. Malone is one of the greatest and he never won a championship. Also injuries can happen to any player and that doesn’t take anything away on how great they are. Also what if McGrady would have retired at his prime, how great would you remember him as? Don’t think that only players that have no injuries and stay consistent over 15 years are great. Think of the greatness T-Mac brought to the game that all other legends he played against remember and respect.
t mac was unstoppable!!!
If he stayed in Toronto he could've given us a ring. Just think about it, prime Vince Carter and prime TMAC. That would've been a legendary duo.
