Really, you want a whole video on what I eat in a day? Why don't I just tell you right here right now? I think it would make a pretty boring video! As soon as I get out of bed (4 or 5 AM), I have a protein shake with vegetable protein & soy milk. I make it thick. About 3 hours later (7 - 8 AM), I have a big bowl of oatmeal with peanut butter or raisins in it. About 2 hours later (10 - 11 AM) (oatmeal never sticks with me more than 2 hours), I have some vegan yogurt with fruit and nuts. About 2 hours later 12 - 1 PM), I have a huge salad or stir fry with all sorts of vegan protein, veggies, nuts, and seeds. You never know what you might find in one of my big salads or stir fry. This mid-day meal is my largest meal of the day. I usually smother a salad in olive oil and balsamic glaze. At some point, I have to have dark chocolate. About 3 hours later (3 - 4 PM), I have a bowl of mixed nuts. I crave fat, so I eat a lot of nuts. Or I have some fruit. Or I have a vegan protein bar, sometimes dipped in peanut butter. Or I have some vegan cold cuts on wheat bread. About 2 hours later (5 -6 PM), I have a big bowl of vegan yogurt, or some vegan cold cuts. I go to bed at about 8 - 9 PM most nights, so I snack a bit until then on a bite of this or that. I eat like a baby ... every 2 or 3 hours. I always have. I can't imagine going more than 3 hours without eating. And I have food everywhere: my purse, my car, my suitcase.

An ablation does not change anything about your hormone decisions. All it does is destroy the lining of your uterus. But you still have to protect it by using hormones in the same way you would if you hadn't had the ablation. I'm glad you're learning.
Thanks Barbie. It seems that no period for more than 12 months but no physical way to tell if you are truly in menopause. When do your ovaries stop producing estrogen. Is there a blood test that would 'confirm' menopause? I would think one would need to be done before the Dr. Started a perception for hormones?
You can go based on your other symptoms of menopause. There are 21 others besides disappearing periods. (Tutorials 10, 11, & 12) A blood test is entirely optional and you certainly don't "need" one to suspect you're menopausal. If you're only peri-menopausal, a blood test will be totally confusing. Up one day & down the next, because you're hormones are on a rollercoaster. Once you reach post-menopause, your FSH & LH will be permanently elevated, and your estrogen & progesterone will be permanently low. If your symptoms are miserable, don't wait for a blood test to declare that you're post-menopausal. You can certainly take something to alleviate your symptoms long before that ... in any category.

These videos are so important to me right now, because my doctor is working with me and a compounding pharmacy for bioidentical hormones, which is my preference. She always gives me the other option of prescription hormones. If you have a fibroids or a cyst on your ovaries, does estrogen make them grow? Love your videos!
You're in a good place. As for estrogen's effect on cysts and fibroids, small doses like the ones you get for menopause should have no effect on either of them. In general, hormone dependent ovarian cysts (like the ones we all have throughout our reproductive lives) and fibroids shrink after the transition into menopause. See, there are some good things about menopause!
That key story was so sweetly romantic while still making quite a point! To "AFFINITY" & beyond! LOL! ;-P I will be checking your book out soon! BTW, I think that's my favorite outfit yet! That hat is fierce style! I did miss all the pearls, though! :-)
I have been told that estrogen dominance causes large breast and weight gain. Also that plastics and soy cause the body to over produce estrogen . But I seem to have symptoms of low estrogen according to your list. Ugh! I think I have been misdiagnosed.
You have been manipulated and sold a bag of tricks. Don't feel badly. You are like most women ... which is WHY I make these videos for you. What you'll fine is that everything makes sense ... when it's the truth. Why so many women believer things that sound completely backward, I'll never know. You'll get to a series of videos on estrogen dominance. (Don't jump ahead.) I think you're starting to see how valuable accurate information is. You see, I have nothing to sell you. I have absolutely no reason to distort the truth. But anyone selling anything distorts the truth to make you buy their product. I always say, "If there's a product involved ... RUN!"
For me taking estrogen will keep the endometriosis active, so I plan not to take replacement estrogen in either form. It sounds like you had a quirky but romantic start to your life together and I enjoyed the glimpse into it. Best wishes.
You're right. Estrogen will feed your endometriosis. But there are other parts of your body that will suffer without it. Be sure to monitor your bones for osteoporosis, and do as much as you can with non-hormonal options to manage your menopause.
I take clonidine for hot flushes and as yet I'm still on a low dose. I also take omegas, glucosamine, multivitamins and calcium every day. I don't have a family history of heart trouble and my pulse/BP are on the lower end of normal. Many years ago (when I was a student nurse) the cardiologist hooked me up to all the monitors, to let me see my rhythmn compared to the patients we had seen that morning. He said it was something out of a textbook and never expected to see me. He thought I was an athlete till I explained "no I rode a motorbike in my spare time". After shaking his head when I explained my lifestyle he said it was purely genetics - see I said I wasn't a conformist x.
I watched one of your videos (watched so many that I cannot remember which one now) where you shared about estrogen receptors located in the breasts, uterus, bones, heart (?), brain (?). So what do these estrogen do when they bind to the receptors in these cells? Like in the case of the bones, what does estrogen actually do when bound to the bone cell? 🤔
Estrogen attraction sites, estrogen binding receptors....I was hoping to hear about how to boost or stimulate sexual attraction, desire & libido deets regarding Peri or Meno 😄LOL...This Vid is about the mechanical chemistry of complimentary compatibility of hormones, in technical terms broken down. Human and pharmaceutical estrogen are very similar compared to Phytoestrogens. Estrogens vary in their strength, not all are created equal.
As I understand, if we eat a lot of phytoestrogen foods, and they take up all of the estrogen receptors, our natural estrogen won't have any receptors to bind to? (and therefore we get less than optimal "perfect fit" estrogen benefits). Would you agree?
Attraction and chemistry is so essential in a good relation⛵s. Well, thanks to Dr. mistakes, it's a wonder! I haven't seen anything pertaining to winning a consultation! Or is it finished.. maybe.🐊
im taking osaphana for painful sex, this is the worst feeling ever, the pain is intense, ive tried a few different things but nothing helps i feel like im all done
No, you're not all done. And Osphena will help. But you may need something else in addition to it. Please don't despair. If you have my book, go to chapter 22. I'll be presenting a few videos on vaginal problems during menopause, but they aren't coming up for quite some time. Chapter 22 in the book can help you find some remedies in the meantime. I really feel for you.
I will absolutely cover decrease libido ... and give you all sorts of options for dealing with it. I won't leave anything unaddressed in this series. If you watch these in order, I can assure you that you'll never have to worry about being uninformed.
Dry skin is one of the many annoying symptoms of menopause. It's dry because estrogen is a lubricant for your skin. When your estrogen is gone, your skin's lubricant is gone. Here are the possible solutions: First, avoid the sun Drink lots of water. Eat lots of fiber & fatty fish. Slather on the lotion. Tak antioxidant vitamins: C, E, A, CoQ10, Alpha Lipoic Acid. Drink green tea Use estrogen with or without progesterone. This is Chapter 19 in my book.
Menopause Barbie Thank You so much, I've been trying to stay moisturized but been having some difficulties as most burn and cause more itching and sometimes rash. I'm told it's because most moisturizers have alcohol 😮 So far the only thing that doesn't bother me is avocado oil and cetaphil moisture cream. I should add that I take 2.5 mg lisinopril isn't it a joy going thru menopause she said with slight sarcasm lol! Still better than the alternative! I love that you responded you are truly appreciated!!!
Dr. Barbie like fractions to whole numbers? In other words plant estrogens work on a much smaller scale compared to bioidentical? Is this what you are saying?.. If you compare your fraction amount to terms of money you are not even getting a whole penny, but bioidentical a whole dollar. Sorry for the dumb question. I need Menopause for Dummies 101(haha)
Estroven contains Black Cohosh and Soy Isoflavones (both of which have some of the effects of estrogen) and calcium. Many women use it for menopause, but it's not specifically for "weight management." Weight gain is one of the 22 symptoms of menopause. You'll see reference to Estroven in videos 31 and 39 (but watch all the videos in order so that you don't confuse yourself.)
Menopause Barbie will do! I get so excited to watch each video and when I ask you a question, I'm always one or two videos away from the answer! sorry!! Inquiring minds can be a nuisance...me in particular. Will watch ALL of them first...until then...over and out ;-)

Thanks Barbie. I think I am about ready for something to help. Looking forward to more lessons!
Awesome - thank you as this is so informative 😄😄😄
I love your enthusiasm, Terri. Thank you for being here.
What a great lesson, my sweet Barbie!
Good to know, my dear. I'm so honored to be able to do this for you.

Ha ha. You'll love our love story ... especially because it's all true. And don't worry, you'll see pearls again.
Thanks for sharing your jiggly jaggy story love it . 😍
Visuals like that help you understand.
Very, Very good!! Thank you!!
You're very, very welcome, my friend.
RUN!"
I'm glad I founded you
I'm glad you found me, too! Watch these videos in order and you'll understand everything!
I am thinking I kind of understand but I think I need to rewatch this one again. 😬
Rewatch any video that warrants it. You will learn so much more the second time.

i love your love story, and all the greai information
I'm so glad you're enjoying this. I love teaching you.
I'm getting a lot of info from your videos. Thank you. I hope you cover insomnia in one of your tutorials. This is the worst for me.
I will definitely have a few tutorials on insomnia. It's a big issue for many women. And don't worry, I will have solutions for you.
I love it! You're full of surprises. Keep up your good work.
What a sweet little story about jiggy jaggy keys! 😊
I had a feeling you'd like that.
Menopause Barbie Can't wait for the next episode! Thanks so much for guiding us through this SO difficult-to-navigate time.
Thank you barbie ,
You are absolutely welcome, my dear.
Human and pharmaceutical estrogen are very similar compared to
Phytoestrogens. Estrogens vary in their strength, not all are created equal.
If you watch all my videos in order, you will discover that I leave nothing unaddressed. I will cover everything at the appropriate time. I promise.
What about a Cookbook ?
thank you Barbie 😄
My pleasure.
😄
As I understand, if we eat a lot of phytoestrogen foods, and they take up all of the estrogen receptors, our natural estrogen won't have any receptors to bind to? (and therefore we get less than optimal "perfect fit" estrogen benefits). Would you agree?
No, no, no. Keep watching these videos in order. The next 4 will cover this.
Thank you so much xxx ❤🙏
It's my absolute pleasure.
Attraction and chemistry is so essential in a good relation⛵s. Well, thanks to Dr. mistakes, it's a wonder! I haven't seen anything pertaining to winning a consultation! Or is it finished.. maybe.🐊

That's amazing! Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
Hi M Barb,
Please help inform on meno itchy skin. What to do. 😯
Thank you !!!
Dry skin is one of the many annoying symptoms of menopause. It's dry because estrogen is a lubricant for your skin. When your estrogen is gone, your skin's lubricant is gone.
Here are the possible solutions:
First, avoid the sun
Drink lots of water.
Eat lots of fiber & fatty fish.
Slather on the lotion.
Tak antioxidant vitamins: C, E, A, CoQ10, Alpha Lipoic Acid.
Drink green tea
Use estrogen with or without progesterone.
This is Chapter 19 in my book.
Menopause Barbie Thank You so much, I've been trying to stay moisturized but been having some difficulties as most burn and cause more itching and sometimes rash. I'm told it's because most moisturizers have alcohol 😮
So far the only thing that doesn't bother me is avocado oil and cetaphil moisture cream. I should add that I take 2.5 mg lisinopril isn't it a joy going thru menopause she said with slight sarcasm lol!
Still better than the alternative!
I love that you responded you are truly appreciated!!!
I love Cetaphil. I use it every day. Keep using it.
Anyone: I need to ask two genuinely serious questions: Is oral sex/cunnilingus good for dryness and do post- menopausal women enjoy receiving this?
Oral sex does nothing to improve vaginal dryness beyond the actual act itself.
But, you and George are still good Friends. I'm glad, it's for the best💰t👒👛 I'm a Psychic 🧜 but I don't charge.
HALLELJAH
You make me laugh.
I just love you.
Yes, that's right. Phytoestrogens are only 1/100 - 1/1000 as strong as your estrogen.
Hi ladies...have any of you tried Estroven for weight management? My gyno recommended it and was wondering if anybody had good results :-)
Will watch ALL of them first...until then...over and out ;-)
No worries. I'm always very careful to anticipate all questions and answer them before you have to ask. But I'm always happy to respond to your questions.
I'm just so glad you're here.
