I'm truly inspired by the momentum you have in doing daily compositions. 1 to 1.5 minute pieces seem to be a perfect length for that kind of thing, because goodness knows I'd be terrified if I had to compose 3-5 minutes daily! Keep up this lovely project!
Thanks! Funny thing is in the very beginning I was so focused on orchestration and size, but I was much slower at writing and the software, so looking back all the earlier pieces were around 20-40 seconds and they took me four times as long to create! I eventually learned there is more value in letting things breathe and develop, and using repetition to my advantage too - where 1-2 mins tends to be the right amount. I'm grateful I've gotten a lot faster by doing it - and next year I intend to comb through some of these sketches and spend more time expanding them into longer pieces, which I think will be super fun getting to apply what I've learned without a daily deadline lol. Cheers!
I love this - thank you!
