I too live in an island and I think maybe it's the ocean's charm that fills our souls who truly desire to live near that large mysterious body of water... this video made me think about what I want in life... this gave me a hope that I too will be able to see and hear one day the marvelous creatures that are strange to me... that I too will be able to greet them as old friends...

That was be a beautiful. As I get older (in my late 50s now), I have these kinds of conversations with myself increasingly. Life seems really about just the day to day "ordinariness", just appreciating the here and now, in a way it's all we have. I too made lots of changes and took on lots of adventures, and while they were all really exciting and meaningful, it was the present moment all along that really mattered. One day we'll run out if them, sadly, but I guess that is why it's so important to appreciate just being and the gift of life. Sounds maudlin talking about it, but really it's precious.

That was be a beautiful. As I get older (in my late 50s now), I have these kinds of conversations with myself increasingly. Life seems really about just the day to day "ordinariness", just appreciating the here and now, in a way it's all we have. I too made lots of changes and took on lots of adventures, and while they were all really exciting and meaningful, it was the present moment all along that really mattered. One day we'll run out if them, sadly, but I guess that is why it's so important to appreciate just being and the gift of life. Sounds maudlin talking about it, but really it's precious.

Hi! This is probably one of the best message on simply living I've come across. I've always craved new places, new things bu I have also come to realize that they will never satisfy. It's nice to see a "minimalist" like you staying put in one place. Too often, I see other minimalist youtubers just traveling the world with their minimal possessions. Beautiful video!
