When I was still in highschool, I used to drive my motorcycle and decided to go on a detour ended up in the mountains. While I was riding, this song suddenly popped up in my earphone while I was passing under the trees in a summer day and man I feel the goosebumps. It was so nostalgic, I even dream of that day once in a while
Thank you for the visuals... You should be a writer. Your words touched me about this song. It has definitely grown into one of my all-time favorites. So many emotions in this song; it reminds me of all the joys and pains of being human.
The nineties was such a unique decade , so many years of repressed styles and feelings came flying to the fore front of sociality, best represented through alternative , hip hop and heavy metal all combined . Some of the greatest repeatable music , video games , and movies came from the 1990s . Here’s to hoping we can remember that decade until the day we all die !
"so many years of repressed styles and feelings came flying to the fore front of sociality" That's interesting. Lately I've been revisiting 90's music and have been lost in thought wondering about the eras of music and how unique they are and how you don't really see it successfully replicated in later eras.
@@Shadowninja1784 always my family and my fiancee love how I can remember all the classics my mother loves the music from the 60's 70's 80's and 90's as well I enjoy a lot of genres from all the decades
I’ve been shown this road too many times over many years of my life. But GOD.... The love and acceptance for the whole me I’ve starved and searched for god only been fulfilled by Him alone. Now, I know the real authentic me and I love her. I also now know why I had to endure the 46 years of heartache, heartbreak, desperation, depression and complete brokenness. This road that I’ve walked with my Jesus has been very hard and painful. A lot of HARD and painful truths about myself😢. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. It’s all been preparation for now. Allow God to take control. He’s a very gentle heart surgeon. He will bring you the right one that He has for you.
@Grimm IKR! knew I couldn't be the only one. when I was young it was just a great song/melody, now has so much meaning for me too. wish it was simply just a great song without the broken heart now😥

Listening in 2021 -- always liked the piano backing the break at 2:50. This song came out before my kids were into rock music (over 20 years ago), but I heard it somewhere on the radio along the way back then and liked it. I'm 70 now, and it still plays in my head from time to time.
This song just sounds likes the 90's haha. I get a mix of happy and sad vibes with this song... I love it though and have not heard for about 10 years. I heard it the other day at walgreens and was instantly transported back to 1998 in my cousin truck driving down the road in the summer....its fucking crazy how music can take you to another time in your head.
Amazing how a song can flood you with memories from a life time ago. I'm sure we all have someone who crushed us at a certain point in our lives that we relive through this song.
I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes listening to these songs from the 90s makes me feel kinda sad. Reminds me of when I was in my early 20s. Better times !!!
Reminds me of my 20's also but this song is relevant for me today moreso then it ever was back in 96. Im so wasting time on someone I should run away from but I keep "thinkin it over anyway".

Live acoustic with no digital editing. Thanks and peace out.
I used to love this song when I was a kid, but being able to actually listen and understand the lyrics as an adult just hits different. I have felt the emotions the lyrics portray far too much in my life and having a deep love for the song since childhood, it just really connects to a part of my soul. Thank you Duncan Sheik for creating not only an absolute 90's banger, but also being able to allow me and others that also relate to the song, for creating a fantastic piece of musical art.
