You missed the part where the heroine body shames thalaiva by Saying he is black so she Won't marry him. So there was an entire montage of thalaiva trying to be white.
But it was later justified that she said it just to kept him away. She later even said that she didn't discriminate among colours

People who judge someone by their skin colour are nothing but narrow mined and parasite to the society. It's because of those people skin bleaching ingredients and harmful whitening products have become so popular. If you say that looks only matter and skin color matters then you are a part of the parasitic society that promotes racism and colourism. You are a part of the problem.

You know I find it weird that nearly every famous south movie shows the businessmen and businesses as sort of bad and taking advantage of poor. This I find weird not because of the political view or something or I don't like movies, I love south movies more than any bollywood ones(except for andhadhun and newton) but there's a lack of nuance in these movies, the topics they deal with cannot be solved by just showing someone bad or punching their way out.
Main audience of Rajnikant type of stars is poor population, esp males. So they make nonsense movies that show hero as superhuman, 'Nayak' kind. That formula works today also for younger stars, lik his SiL, Dhanush. Every year dozens of such movies are made. Don't expect nuance in items of mass production.
@@optimystic6502 yeah actually I enjoy these movies but I'm get a little concerned when people say I hope thing like this happened, when I was a kid I used to enjoy and I still do but the difference now is this that rn I know that anything like this is neither possible nor a good thing. Nuance is not expected, I enjoy for what they are but it remains my dream to see some project that really takes these things seriously and shows for what they are, like in newton.
