this is definitely a very nice kit by far if I had the choice I would buy the zoukie-mura,Academy tend to be a hit or miss with their aircraft kits but zoukie-mura is a very clean crisp model this and along with the He 219 I will be buying these due to your reviews Mitko thanks again for a very good review cheers 😊👌🍻🍺
They both worth it!!! I can assure you that the Academy Phantom is good too, but you got to go for Eduard re-packs since they are the ones that can compete /and in some areas only/ with Zoukei's F-4. For the Uhu there is no doubt about it - ZM is the kit!
Nice......but WHY do they keep including decals for "Showtime 100", Randy Cunningham's and Willie Driscoll's F-4J from their dogfight in May 1972!?? Decal-wise that aircraft has been "modeled to death" for well over 20 years now and don't they think its about time these markings were retired? It's almost as if this was the only F-4J built!
@@DNModels yes, it is really a pleasure to work a f-4 phantom ll of Tamiya, I have assembled 4 kits, but the variety is always better and try new molds of excellent quality, greetings. P.S. i love f-4 phantom ll

Nice review. But I have to disagree. There is no way the Zoukei-Mura F-4J kit is better than the Academy with the fuselage and clam shell split down the middle and for sure not better engineering than the Tamiya F-16 and F-14 in 1/48 scale. I have them all and the Tamiya F-14A is an engineering masterpiece.
Chris Huffman I cannot tell about the F-14 yet but I've built the others and I can assure you: this one is better. In any way. And I am Tamiya's biggest fan. Besides Academy phantom compares to this one only in its repacked version. Not ootb. Which is not Academy but Eduard and in that case: superkit vs oob.
The only thing good about the Academy kit is the fuselage. The cockpit of the Academy kit is pathetic, and the seat are just stupid looking. The Zoukei -Mura kit is superior in detail...

I want to build an F-4 as a JASDF Fighter. Which one would you recommend. I like the SWS series.

My guess is because this jet was the only Naval Ace that came out of the Vietnam war.
Looks like a great kit but similar price point? ZM is $75 while the Academy is $50
ZM is 75 and Eduard is about the same. Only Eduard repack is comparable with ZM. Academy as a stand alone kit is inferior.

Tamiya's 32nd scale kit is actually very accurate and a pleasure to work with.
