Agreed. Love me some Kenny. He tells wonderful stories on Otis Gibb’s channel.
One of the finest guitarists I’ve ever seen play! And seems like a super nice guy.
True to the vibe of an earlier time. How enjoyable it would be to have a few beers and listen to songs of this era performed by such great musicians.
Kenny has all the stories. He's also super funny and has a really great laugh.
This is just so much fun. We drove from Canada to North Tonawanda to see Kenny V., Marty S., Harry S., and Chris S. (3 S'es!) recently. SO worth the trip. And the Riviera Theatre is gorgeous. What a gem.
Great songs! And that Strat sounds great!!
I ended up sitting in a bar, I think it was maybe across the street from the old Exit/In, next to Kenny sometime in the late 70's or early 80's as near as I can recall. It was many moons ago. But I remember him well, because he looked like a previous friend I had down in Texas. And face it, he does have distinct features. Long story short, we sat there and consumed cold beverages for a few hours and talked and laughed. A really cool guy to just meet by chance . I think he mentioned he was a guitar player, and I said, "Let me see your fingers".:He held out those long bones and I said Yeah you are, and we just laughed and talked. I mean, meeting a guitar player in Nashville is not exactly a rare occurence. I didn't even think of that until years later I saw Lucinda Williams on ACL and thought, "Hey! That's that guy from the bar". I was surprised and impressed. But the main point....he was a really pleasant and funny guy to meet by chance, and spend a few hours with.
What a talent. He is a master git box player. And a nice person. 👍👍👍
This has a Penthouse Forum I am a college student at a small midwestern university vibe to it.
Kenny's my favorite even though there are so many superb ones...... something about Kenny makes him the guitar player I would want to be...... just the coolest..........
🎉 EXCELLENT 💯😁👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤗
Marty might be the star of the Superlatives but Kenny V is the backbone!
Too wonderful, great guitars and drums
Fantastic!!
Never ceases to amaze people
What a Blast
Not to mention the fact that he is the one to turn me on to those 1965 American made Vox amps ( the next year they went to solid state for the American models) I bought a near mint '65 Vox Pacemaker when I found such a pristine one..... Kenny has a '65 Vox Cambridge , which is very similar but has built in reverb and tremolo where mine only has tremolo......about 18 watts.... all tube...... a cool find..... thanks Kenny
I see Kenny Vaughan, I click. What on Earth is he doing here? He should be at the Greek, or Red Rocks!
Little Black Egg one of the very first songs I learned on guitar. Great version of both songs Kenny!!!
pretty cool rendition of Little Black Egg! Right behind the Cars version.
BAYUD ACE
You didn't mention the faithful version of "Little Black Egg" , originally by the Nightcrawlers, that follows the Kinks song.
Dig the bat wing bass
if the stage was any smaller they could always play in the men’s room. It might be a tad bigger…Kenny was great as always.
Just happened to notice the guitar... I wonder if that's a "SQ" Japanese Squire
I think he talks about this guitar in some of his interviews with Otis Gibbs, which are a fantastic listen. I could listen to Kenny talk all day.
Cousin Kenny is sooo underrated as a musician and unique. No wonder why he is a Superlative no matter where he performs.
What kind of bass is that?
From the blurred logo on the headstock I’m guessing it’s an old Harmony
The bass player looks a lot like Dave Jacques.
This song is unbelievably hard to play
Kenny, I love you, really do. Maybe I’m a little too much of a snob but this lacks the high level of musicality you could be doing. You can mesmerize. Do that.
I get the feeling Kenny cares more about entertaining his audience, than he does showing off
Great guitar solo, very impressive as he intended. They need a real singer. Tuning issues. If sounding like the Kinks is entertaining I feel sorry for the audience.
FFS this is ONE video of ONE song. Maybe Kenny likes to have a little fun once in a while?
@@davidcertain2492 So what do you think about Bill Kirchen (Hot Rod Lincoln) sounding like just about any guitarist you could name?
I've been in Dee's. It's NOT a "dive" bar! It's pretty cool or Kenny wouldn't be playing there...
The tip jar thing made a "Cheezy" thing out of what would have been a good video.
Terrible, Pitiful, are you serious !
I bet Kenny is one of the coolest people ever to hang out with.
