I wondered this too, my belief is pre tribulation and Jesus comes to earth after the tribulation for the 1000 rain. With the rapture Jesus is in the clouds not on the earth.
There are three raptures - pre, mid and post tribulation. Search Brenda Weltner - she has done excellent bible study on the book of Revelation. I pray you are blessed.
