I just moved from Canada to the US, local news stations here don’t show global news the way Canadian local news would. However, larger channels such as CNN would absolutely show world news. I think that there’s just so many stations here in general so people can pick and choose what they would rather watch. :)
Our news is super bias and they all suck especially CNN sorryyy lol please don't watch CNN it's literally the worst!

It depends what channel you watch. For example, Canadian news will not be blasted in every channel or in every web page. You have to pick a channel that has global news. It also depends on the person you talk to about how educated they are on other countries. I personally don’t watch TV and when I look up news online, I normally just scroll through US matters. A lot of us are like that, but there are others who take interest in other countries and what’s going on. So we do get some global news but from what I hear, not as much as other countries get from the US. And btw, your videos are way too short!!! 😭😭 we need another nice long vlog 😃😃😃
i live in the states and most of our news stations focus on stuff in the states! we only get global information if something crazy happens. ive always wondered why that is 😣 i mostly go online for news so it’s easier to see global news!

Yes if Biden wins its very scary. Trump was our president for the last few years, what rights have you lost (aside from local governments Covid restrictions) keep in mind Trump did not do anything except the beginning to close us down and let the governor's take it from there - opposite of "dictatorship" which they like to call him so dumb. Biden is planning to shut down the country and use the federal government to enact more restrictions on us. Republicans are those who don't believe in top down control. A lot of people are super manipulated and misinformed sorry I was too until I actually began to do my homework and break away from the mainstream lies. Biden and the democratic party is pitiful. Celebrities are in a bubble and the media is just very divisive. Divide and conquer- Trump isn't the bad guy they claim it's just a bandwagon that everyone jumps on and I hate that I was once in that group but thankfully no longer. Praying 🙏 Trump wins!

@@deemoney6145 I am actually a political analyst and work with both sides. Your claims have no merit and the fear mongering is part of the bigger problem here. I don't care what side you are on, if you're a fellow American that's what matters. There is no evidence that Biden will call for a shut down.. he has never said that. Do not spread false information. It is very dangerous. I agree with you, Trump does get a very bad rep from the general public, you appear to be a supporter so I imagine that is challenging. I am not going to go into detail about the rights I have that I want to protect because I see this comment becoming a circular argument. No one is going to agree and that is really sad and scary. I am so sorry that you are feeling afraid of the possibility of a new president. We are all afraid for different reasons.

We actually do get global news. Bloomberg covers the US and global news. What’s crazy is most people only watch their local news. Or CNN or fox. Which is funded by political parties. And is very directed in a democrat or republican way. Bloomberg is pretty neutral.
Bloomberg is owned by Michael Bloomberg who is heavily Democrat and just spent hundreds of millions trying to unseat Republicans (which was a waste of time and money). Just saying, there is almost no news that's truly unbias sadly.
@@deemoney6145 pretty sure I didn’t say it wasn’t funded by a political party. However if you watch it, it is a fairly neutral news outlet for GLOBAL news. As far as reporting current events globally. They were reporting on coronavirus last year in January before any other news outlet even begin to touch on it.

To be completely honest we learn nothing about Canada in school. I’m American & canadian so obviously I know a lot about it, but that’s not true for everyone else. I legit said something about a Provence to one of my friends and then had to explain what a Provence was for 20 min. If it’s not Vancouver or Toronto nobody in the US cares. (Again not me I love Canada/lived there for awhile). I don’t know a single person who knows anything about the PM, unless they know him for being attractive. People literally know nothing and it’s so sad! I had someone tell me if the US became like Canada then doctors wouldn’t even want to be doctors because they wouldn’t even make enough to live comfortably. The lack of education & amount of ignorance is insane! We only learn about the US in school and our news usually circulate around our issues only. I never seen Canadian news. We will have “big events” that happen internationally but that’s about it . Unfortunately, most America’s think that the US is the only thing worth educating yourself on. It’s disappointing:(
I agree, however some of us want to learn more about other countries, especially Canada. I, myself, am thinking about moving from Florida to Canada after my children graduate college.

America also affects Australia , we’ve been covering it on all of our news channels. So I think they forget that America has a lot of allies.
Our new stations only cover serous things when there happening in other countries but don't really keep up or follow up on it later sadly.

I love your videos Toni, but also thank you also for talking about these important issues, and specifically when you spoke on Black Lives Matter and the importance of the movement. I'm really impressed that you use your platform for such good use. Also, girl I know exactly what you mean. As Canadians, people here think we're not affected by what happens in the US but its absolutely false. It affects our economy, our labor force, our trade, energy issues and international relations, and so many other things. I don't understand how people can be so ignorant and say "it doesn't matter to you, you're Canadian".. the US is our neighbor and biggest ally for years, of COURSE we're worried if there's a dictator running the damn place lol.
keep in mind schooling in Quebec is significantly less than other places around Canada... so we pay more taxes but a lot of people benefit (also our healthcare is free)

We actually do get global news however its very common for most people to watch local news which is based on the city/state you live in. Local news station give more insight on things going within your area where as our larger news stations give information regarding the whole U.S/global news. We do have large News stations in the U.S normally based out of New York that share global news and U.S news those stations can be very politically bias (not all but some).

I'm Canadian and have lived in the U.S for 10 years. I'm in a nice warm weather state.🌴 I love it here! The news is all drama and fear porn. Now, I still have my Canadian passport as it's my home by birth but I love both countries. Low taxes and prices here in the U.S are definitely a plus. But, they can't make a decent ketchup chip! 😆

I love this combo because the Ilia foundation has a really dewy/natural finish and the CC cream has a lot of coverage! Mixing them together gives a really natural finish with good coverage! xo

We do get global news. NPR, CNN around the world, etc. On network news, too. But USA is so large, I think it’s proportional.
