keep it up yo, I understand how hard it can be to stop buying stuff, I consider it a good exercise to navigate life with limited resources, its a really good way to further knowledge of overall resource efficiency
Absolutely good to make yourself spend a small budget weekly but I forgot how to operate that way a long time ago. Since entering this hobby my relationship with money has changed. 😂
side note- maybe sealed cases are harder to scan? who knows, Also Pokemon company will have all the incentive in the world to create scan proof packaging if it affects their bottom line
I would never do something like that haha not worth the time and you and I both know for now not worth the money. The biggest barrier there is the cost to scan though. Once that comes down if it hasn’t already, it’s not up for debate whether it taints the hobby. But I absolutely welcome discussion and opposing viewpoints 😎
So that’s a great question, It’s fun sometimes, and really stimulating but it can be a pain in this ass many nights working late sweating my ass off making cocktails for a hundred people it can be brutal. But I’m very blessed and I do love what I do. At the end of the day I’m very lucky to have the opportunity to work and run a business especially one where I get to work alongside my family. My little girl and Dyanna come in often so that’s nice too. 🙏🏼
Most people dont want sealed product at events like collect a con because of the travel (bulbastore for example has to fly to every collect a con so he never picks up any sealed booster boxes)
Very different, a psa 8 card that is vintage but recently graded might be pop controlled whereas a psa 8 card that is modern and recently graded just seems like a bad copy considering how easy it is to get 9/10’s. But they definitely pop control vintage IMO. I’ve had friends sub vintage cards that are mint that get 8’s but they usually get 9/10 on their modern subs. But that’s a very subjective question with so many variables so it’s hard to answer completely. Value wise at the end of the day an 8 is still near mint so if you’re on a budget or just don’t want to pay 9/10 prices buy the 8 and don’t sweat it! 😎
@@orionsires Good stuff. I tend to agree but I was very curious what you thought. I've got some recently graded vintage 8s that look pristine so that lines up. I feel some inferiority when I have 8's instead of 9's or 10's but lately I've been okay with buying some vintage 8's because they cost a fraction of 10 and at the end of the day, even a 7 is considered near mint.
Because CZ was very hyped and Pokémon was revving up the printers but I can assure you there’s just as much 151 but it was maybe even more popular so hard to find anywhere other tbh an Costco deals or Walmart. 🤷🏻♀️
Dont worry about ct scanning it wont effect anything pokemon will just make the packs ct proof. Also its way to expesive. Maybe vintage would be a issue but moddern will not
Doesnt really make sense scanning modern boxes, if its $75 per box, if you scan 3 boxes, you couldve just bought the chase card outright, chances are so low your gonna find the top hit in just a few boxes scanned. Even if its a bigger card like giratina, 5 box scans will add up to the giratina price and your most likely not going to find that tina alt in only 5 boxes
The whole grading portion of card collecting, is a cancer and is the cause of the problem of inflated prices for all of this. As someone who just wants to own the card and couldn't care any less about grading, it has been nothing but problem that shouldn't exist. Dude, you just...don't need anything in a PSA 10. This is a hobby and it turned into a business and those that are profiting from this, are a plague on those collectors just trying to enjoy the hobby.
Totally understand your viewpoint but what I do like about grading is I’m very picky and OCD and graded cards give me a close to perfect example of that card I want. It’s also a preserved card. Now I’ll admit that grading isn’t necessary or needed you can always just build a binder but when you turn around to sell or get your value back, graded cards solidify the value you get back. So for me it’s important to be able to get back out what I’ve put into collecting. Especially for an emergency. But I agree in terms of binder collecting versus buying graded. But if I sold my binders I can promise I would lose money versus the slabs that have market prices. 😎🙏🏼
@@orionsires Overall fair points, but the overarching problem remains. This has turned from a regular card collecting hobby, to a monetized business. If the money was removed from this entire hobby, your points fall and become mute. This would have us return to an age more fair, accessible, and less financially observant than where we are now. It should never have gotten to this point where almost everything in our economy has become a business. In your own words, you mentioned during your video, you could be locked out from purchasing the very cards your after. That is a problem that just shouldn't exist. The dividends you were to gain from focusing more so on personal achievements, like the home, outside the collecting are far more beneficial but that's just me. Anyways, best of luck!@
I thought I saw somewhere they dropped the pricing of scanning ? This was a recent update but absolutely correct me if I’m wrong. The cheaper it gets the worse it gets. 😂
@@orionsires you're wrong not even close to $15. Also, this doesn't include the cost of shipping back and forth. NN did a video today even showing if scanning was free with the other costs it still doesn't make any financial sense to do.
Did you go to collect-a-con in Charlotte ? If so any pickups?
You balancing life and collecting is me AF. I relate so hard bro. Love listening to you man, keep it up.
Haha hey man thank you I appreciate the support and kind words 😎🔥
Hey thanks for that content. It’s super chill and love the collect a con video. Just subscribed!
Hey right on fam thanks for the love 😎🙏🏼
We have ways to obscure things from a CT. Its more about if Pokemon wants to implement it

Thank you for the video brother Orion
Much love brother😎
I can relate, I won’t let my daughter touch ANY holos, only commons/uncommons 😂
I feel so bad about it too but I know she just doesn’t respect any of it enough to take care of it at nearly 3 years old 😂
PSA/ebay said in the email when they transferred ownership that it’s temporarily free to take out whatever you want
Thanks for the update that’s incredible news!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Loved this video. It’s fun to hear about cc.
And good for you on cashing out 10k. Smart movie on paying off the house.
Glad you enjoyed it! Definitely feeling like a responsible adult 😂😎
@@orionsires 😂 that dang Pokemon can bring the kids out in us.
The umbreon vmax alt art texture is really awesome compared to any of the other cards from evolving skies.
True! 😎🙏🏼
Congratulations on the son!!!
Thank you fam!! We are extremely blessed ❤️

Yes I do believe sealed cases would be harder to scan honestly
Positive about the Voldemort service offering being US$75 base and an additional US$15 for those that can't read the data.
Additional 15$ per ? That’s still a good deal - not that we should be publicizing this 🤷🏻♀️
@@orionsires 🤐
Love to hear that rayquazas in a psa 9 n 10 are that scarce
Definitely wild to go to a show for avid collectors and no one has that stuff or at least don’t want to sell it if they do 😂

New video idea for your future scan video.. explain to everyone how you can make money sending your packs in to be scanned.

Congrats on your son!!
Thank you!!! 🙏🏼
Sealed is hard to move at those shows because allot of vendors are from out of town and can't bring stuff like that back with them
Ahhh that makes sense too 😎
whats it like owning a bar ? is it as fun as it sounds. congrats with your son !

True traveling with it can be tough but if no one is bringing it in idk why it’s even remotely hard to get rid of. 😂
Congrats on having a son! Now you got one girl and one boy!
Thanks fam!! Best of both worlds that’s right ❤️
In your opinion is PSA 8 vintage different than PSA 8 modern?

Kids I opted for Sunday afternoon and did not regret it. They had a blast. Too busy on Saturdays I think.
Ahhh yeah Saturday was wild Sunday was much better 😎🙏🏼
For CT scanning, $15 givea you what so far today? Like scanning a single booster pack? Or a booster box?
I see you say single pack at the end of the video now 👍
Hey sorry late response 😂 not even sure if what ow as saying was factual or just me seeing a thumbnail and insinuating
Why does it feel like much more CZ was printed than 151 despite them both being special sets?
Because CZ was very hyped and Pokémon was revving up the printers but I can assure you there’s just as much 151 but it was maybe even more popular so hard to find anywhere other tbh an Costco deals or Walmart. 🤷🏻♀️
@@orionsires Makes sense. Do you think we see a 151 reprint? Best Buy pulled the product page for the ETBs.
What percent of market did they buy your sealed ES products at?
80% 🔥

Pack scanning is 75$ not that it matters. They can’t scan booster boxes or cases yet. All these UA-camrs need to calm down and actually read.
