Thank you for sharing your view, however, do allow me to inform you that this is no comparison video. The Ai Whitney is singing with Sohyang's voice, albeit with a Whitney tone to sound like Whitney.
To be perfectly honest, every singer is unique and there's no the best one. Yes, indeed, Whitney's voice is so powerful, unique and stunning than many other singers. However, Sohyang's voice is also that good.
But Sohyang has a different path in life and doesn't want that much fame to be that recognised (as recognision plays an important role to fame too (apart from being talented.)).
Sohyang's voice is powerful but with mixed voice. Whitney's is powerful with belts only in her chect voice register. So, I would say that one is better in belting and one is better in mixing.
There are voices like Aretha Franklin's etc that are also amazing. :)
So, at the end of the day, opting for someone instead of the other is up to personal preference. As far as I am concerned, my best singer who touches my heart is Sohyang. I do, however, listen to Whitney, Aretha, Mariah, Patti Labelle, Michael Jackson, Michael Bolton, Celine Dion and many other legendary singers too.
Every singer, old and young, dead or alive had and has something to amazes us with what others don't have. Let's not compare too much. Instead, let's point out every singer's unique voice and admire each one we like. Yes, having favourites is apparent. However, being naive (or something like that) in thinking that only one can be the best is a wrong thought (I am including myself in this).
