Thanks for watching! Are you happy with the lights on this new Civic? I was happy to see there's a gentle ambient glow inside and everything is well lit. Here's the full review: ua-cam.com/video/m29HzD3D0Ks/v-deo.html
This is a very useful review, especially because the previous generation Civic wasn't known for having very good headlights. That's one of the things that made me think twice about buying a '20 or '21. Your video makes the high beams look pretty good, the low beams not so much. Now that I've seen this, I'd feel better about getting a '22. Thanks!
You are the only car reviewer I know who does night ratings. For the sole purpose of informing buyers and speculators, you are the most sincere, detailed, and certainly best car reviewer to follow! 👍💯🙌
Price of Civic Turing; Mercedes Benz use to sell their entry level models few years back.... This car makes sense in LX and SPORT trim, which starts around 22k. If you feel like buying Civic Turing trim for around 30k, you should check out Honda Accord. Much better car for your money...
What are some of the best you have seen? Right now you have a monopoly on these full night videos. I think they are awesome. Not sure why no one else has figured this formula out…
Young people who adores and bought the sporty civic before, are now in their 30s, 40s, mostly professionals, thats why they decidee to make this civic more like accord, classy, low, longer hood.
I LOVE my 2022 Civic Sport. Especially at night. I am in desperate need to find aftermarket LED turn signal for the rear 🤦🏽♂️ I can’t stand how manufacturers gives every light an LED except for the turn signals 🤦🏽♂️
That overhead ambient lighting goes down as far as the barebones base trim. I know cause I have one I bought to use as a fleet car for my shop deliveries and now it's my daily.
Thanks for this. Was wondering whether it had puddle lights as I never thought to look when I was in the dealership and you brought up that it doesn't. Would've been a nice touch. Will be upgrading the trunk light to LED for sure
I am trying to decide if I should upgrade from my 2018 civic. The new features are really cool. I love how they changed the location of the usb ports, that is such a complaint of mine with the 2018. Also I asked if the mat in my 2018 was wireless charging when I bought it and they were like.. oh yah haha wouldn't that be nice .. NO. I think I might wait for the 22 accord to come out and compare the 2. ?
My civic headlights are so much better than the 2015 Tahoe I had... I couldn't believe a vehicle that was supposed to be so great and was so expensive .. and it felt like I couldn't drive anywhere that there weren't street lights
It's those Halogens inside projectors. Halogens IMO should never be in projectors, as I believe they diminish the output quite a bit compared to an HID or LED in a projector. And IMO, Halogen headlamps are a super old technology that should be done away with in the US. Make LED Standard, or HID at the minimum.
I have been obsessing over this new gen civic. Specifically the 2022 civic hatchback sport touring. The 10th gen hatchback is OK I don’t wanna be too picky but the new gen is so nice. I also think this new gen civic is very classy for it’s price point. The interior lighting is good enough for the money. If you want more interior lighting then get something more classy like a Mercedes or bmw you’re not gonna get amazing interior lighting for 34k
Such a nice car , but for me no option for buying . I need a car with Ambiente light an a big main screen. It’s a pity . Honda please make some Interieur lighting !! 😮
I have the EX and noticed tonight my defrost buttons are not illuminated and I can't find them in the dark without pulling over and turning on the reading light. Are they only illuminated in the touring trim or do I have a defect?
Anyone getting a 2022 Civic. if your climate control buttons do not illuminate it’s because they did not put a 30 amp fuse in fuse number 37 in the fuse box under the hood. Honda labeled that fuse backup2 so some mechanics are not putting the fuse in. There are extra fuses under the fuse box cover and one is a 30 amp fuse so just take that one and put it in the slot. This is just information, you should have a qualified Honda mechanic do the work for you.
I'd like to see a comparison between these newfangled LED headlights versus a very good HID setup. The reason I started searching for this content is based on seeing a new Civic out on the road the other night and the fact that it's headlights looked like they weren't even on compared to my retrofitted HID projectors in my 2010 Fit. I'm not a fan of LED headlights, I still prefer HID, and seeing the new Civic didn't inspire any confidence in this tech. Honda should have just produced a model with regular old reliable HALOGEN headlights, which could then have some nice HID projectors retrofitted into them which would provide superior performance. After seeing the driving segment, my suspicions are confirmed. These headlights are pretty terrible and it pains me to no end because I really like this car, but until Honda fix this problem, I'll keep my HID retrofit. Very concise and informative video!
Well in my opinion LEDs are very good ( and also the future if u'd ask me), they outclass the halogen bulbs in every aspect : energy consumption - pattern - efficiency - longevity - heat dissipation, etc.. While i do understand HID setups are very powerfull, you have to think that Honda is adressing this model on a global market. Now i dont know how it is in the US over there, but in europe for example such "retrofits" are mostly illegal. you cannot retrofit another type of bulb in the same headlight, a headlight is specially designed to spread the light for a specific type of bulb. Now , for example if you install HID projectors in a LED or Halogen Headlight you will : A: either totally blind the upcomign traffic or B. be totally inneficient with the light and dissipate it all over the place, just because the headlight is not designed to dissipate the light from that type of bulb. But getting back on track on the video, the headlights seem perfectly fine for a 2022 car, they have a good spread/ reach, there are no blackspots (atleast i didnt spot any when he zoomed in), the intensity of the light seems a little bit dim on the incoming lane( so left) side, as the driver also mentioned multiple times.
I can’t believe that Honda skimped on the basics. I mean, you don’t get a 60/40 rear seat, rear center armrest, visor vanity lights, or USB ports unless you buy the most expensive model… not even on the Sport trim! 😏 It’s frickin’ 2022, every other manufacturer offers these basic features! Shame on Honda for trying to rip people off! I like the looks of this car, but I’d be more inclined to go with Hyundai or Kia just because they offer a lot more features for less… and a better warranty!
You need to drive a different car and meet this Honda Civic to see if the dims are blinding for oncoming traffic. These new LEDs are getting annoying….great for the driver, bad for oncoming traffic.
I bought Honda accord lx 2022. Is going to be 1 month . I was going duty 5 am and other guy told me your all tail light is not working me then I went. Back to delearship they told Honda accord. Doesn’t have all tail light . What a funny accord has. Disappointed
Buyer beware. This civic already has problems stacking up. Brake pedal malfunction off showroom floor. Moisture build up in new LED headlight units…reliability slipping.
I wish you would’ve left it on sport for a couple seconds so at least we see what the whole thing looks like, instead of just going from one to the other very quickly dammit……lol🥳
Yall keep making the car look the same all the cars look the same change the car I own one I love Honda but come on you hond he to to better all bodies are the same and charging people up its a shame
The headlights performed great. I like the new Civic a lot. Honda is stepping up their game big time. Like it Nolan 😊
For sure! I like it too…it’s hard to beat in many aspects. Thanks for stopping by key!
Very nice car
1:52 I like how when applying the break completely separate LED strips come on, instead of the regular taillight just getting brighter like most cars.
Thanks for watching! Are you happy with the lights on this new Civic? I was happy to see there's a gentle ambient glow inside and everything is well lit.

Perfect night review. People like you are a gem. Don't ever forget! 💎👌
Thank you very much!
A night review, genius! How's the car at night is something I always look for.
Thank you! Glad it’s helpful.
Take a look at the channel - Mike’s Car Info
He also does night videos with a different style 👍

Tail lights look great. I'm a big Honda fan, and I'm glad they got rid of the old ugly claw tail lights
like, it is just a civic but god dame it the photographing making it look majestic at night.
got my EX trim and i love driving it at night
Great review, instant sub! I can’t wait to get my new Civic…ETA is August…I think I’ve watched 100 reviews haha. Love the night reviews. ❤️🚗
Niceeeeeeee not everyone makes night review. 🍻🍻🍻

I’m below 30 and I prefer elegant and classy cars to an aggressive and sharp looking cars. Idk, it’s down to preferences, I guess.
Thank You for this night drive.
Thanks for stopping by! 👍
i have always wanted a night review on tha escalade 2021 PLZZ
Trust me I have too lol. As soon as I can get one, I will 👍
THANKS
Very good review. When will you make the CRV night review?
I LOVE my 2022 Civic Sport. Especially at night. I am in desperate need to find aftermarket LED turn signal for the rear 🤦🏽♂️ I can’t stand how manufacturers gives every light an LED except for the turn signals 🤦🏽♂️
Glad to hear it! Yeah it’s a shame because it’s an intentional thing they leave out lol. Good luck finding one and thanks for stopping by as always!
You could probably just change the bulb to an orange led and it would look way better
I changed mine right away after buying one. I bought a pair of led bulbs from Lasfit
That overhead ambient lighting goes down as far as the barebones base trim. I know cause I have one I bought to use as a fleet car for my shop deliveries and now it's my daily.
Liner silver looks smooth and silky
The front LED outline is the same as the back LED part, unless you get the hatchback which looks much better then the regular civic
Awesome video.
Subscribed👍🏼
Thank you very much!
what u said is true, even toyota got ambient light for their model. hopefully honda will take note about tht. by the way great review

Nice [ civilized ] look for the new Civic
great vid. only 1 thing. visor vanity lights are not standard on LX or Sport.
I hate that no Hondas have any approach lights, but every listing find at dealers says that they do
I love this car a lot. Do you advise me to buy it ?? Or there are better options from same category such as Elantra and Corolla
The light that you’re under is really bright .🤪
Buddy it comes like that from factory on driver side it’s pointed down on purpose to not blind oncoming traffic
i own a 2020 honda accord and i love it can you do a review on a 2020 accord please also you are amazing do you own that civic
Thank you! I’ve got a video on a 2020 Accord Touring, but I haven’t been able to have one at night for a night video
BEAUTIFUL!!!

Cant wait to Get it, bitter sweet goodbye to my 10th gen
its nice but I think the corolla is nicer at night.. especially since it gives you adaptive headlights and ambient lighting on the inside
But have you seen how Fugly a Corolla is?
Yeh, but corolla is ugly af
Can you turn OFF or DIM the infotainment lights at night? They seem very intrusive for me, anyway who never uses that stuff.
3:28
I noticed a dark spot . can you see the dark spot when driving?
I love your videos can you do a 2021 Range Rover sport
Thank you! If I can get ahold of one I definitely will!

It used to be the best selling car in America way to go price one out. At 30000 plus I don't think they're going to sell many.
Looks like a Camry with those wheels
Such a nice car , but for me no option for buying . I need a car with Ambiente light an a big main screen. It’s a pity . Honda please make some Interieur lighting !! 😮
Very excellent
Headlights look kind of 6K bluish in the video. Strange for a factory headlight.
Low beam at night looks weak. I cannot believe it’s so hard for Honda to put some led projectors in these cars.
I have the EX and noticed tonight my defrost buttons are not illuminated and I can't find them in the dark without pulling over and turning on the reading light. Are they only illuminated in the touring trim or do I have a defect?
My touring doesn’t illuminate either

@@chuckzarcaro9678 excellent! Thanks for passing this along. Looking forward to having illuminated buttons on my drive tomorrow.
Should I buy this car ?
that table screen does not need to be that tall like a box. Why couldnt it be more wide like the new Hyundais.
Please review on Toyota Camry 2020 Le at night thank
Should be ambient lights on dashboard, doors , floor mats

whats the difference between the auto lights + regular lights??
19.4 miles per gallon is crazy😭
I can’t believe that Honda skimped on the basics. Sorry but the previous version was nicer and much more original than the new!
I hated the bright spot that you can see on the road on the passenger side. mostly because it's not present on the driver's side.
I think that the Car is not good enough for a completely new car and I hope that the Hatchback is better where next year come.
Please do 2021 honda ridgeline rtl-e. Thx
Nice car 🚗
Reflector led is a lot better looking. Projectors look outdated.
They look better (too you), but they don’t perform better.

Headlight beam at night seems questionable...
WOW.
Volvo xc90 night drive please
Its NVH consider good? if compare to Camry?
It’s not very good, worse than the newer camrys and even worse than some other compacts like Elantra and Mazda3
I bought Honda accord lx 2022. Is going to be 1 month . I was going duty 5 am and other guy told me your all tail light is not working me then I went. Back to delearship they told Honda accord. Doesn’t have all tail light . What a funny accord has. Disappointed
how hard is it for them to just make the damn rear turn signal led? jeez lol
This car is far better than Hyundai Elantra
Buyer beware. This civic already has problems stacking up. Brake pedal malfunction off showroom floor. Moisture build up in new LED headlight units…reliability slipping.
29k for a civic OMG
I prefer 2.0 L civic.
LED every where except the trunck :/
No hand brake is a deal breaker for me, overall it's a nice car
Lol..if you want a manual handbrake, base model is the way to go, unfortunately but even then that might be disappearing just like key ignition
I wish you would’ve left it on sport for a couple seconds so at least we see what the whole thing looks like, instead of just going from one to the other very quickly dammit……lol🥳
Show muito top 👌👌👌👌
no Ambient lights for a 2022 year Car is not good.
Design of this new civic is too simple compared to its competitors. Its OK but not amazing. Thats just me.
Not a fan of the accord look
Inside better
Yall keep making the car look the same all the cars look the same change the car I own one I love Honda but come on you hond he to to better all bodies are the same and charging people up its a shame
#honda
Design is Awsome interior in not that good.
🤜🤛👊👏👌🙏
1:35 thats a joke.... ugly and bad rear end design... And they still don't offer projector lights for headlighst? lol skoda already offer them....
Buy used car and save money
Agree!
I don't see any used one for this civic yet
