For those who wanted the Middle part explained- this is what i understood. It is a descriptive breakdown for beginners.
Middle part starts with
Middle finger on 9th fret G string and Ring finger on 10th fret high E string while low E is open
Picking is 1st and 6th string together, then 3rd string and then 2nd string. This is repeated 4 times.
Then Middle finger stays the same and ring finger moves from 10th fret to 9th fret of same string. Here picking pattern is same except you pick the 5th (A) string for bass.
Then keeping the middle finger same
Put index finger on 8th fret with same picking pattern as previous.
Then index on 7th fret with same as previous pattern but here like in the first part of this pattern, 6th string is the bass instead of 5th.
For the 2nd part of the middle part
You put Middle finger on 5th fret G string (3rd string) and Ring finger on 5th fret 1st string.
Bass note is 5th string A.
Picking pattern as mentioned before: 5th string and 1st string together followed by 3rd string and then 2nd string subsequently.
This pattern is played 4 times.
After this you have 2nd fret 3rd string(G), 1st fret 2nd string(B) and 3rd fret 1st string(hE)
Picking pattern same throughout: 5th string and 1st together followed by 3rd and then 2nd.
Pick the pattern once fully then move pinky finger from 3rd fret 1st string to 2nd fret 1st string and play again.
Then leave 1st string open and play the pattern
After this i found it sounds better if you don't play 1st fret and instead put your pinky on 3rd fret 2nd string - play 5th and 2nd string together followed by 3rd string and then release pinky to play 1st fret on 2nd string again.
Finally place your pinky on 2nd fret 1st string as you did before and play the pattern.
For the final segment of middle part:
4th fret on G string(3rd string) and 3rd fret on high E string
First play Low E (6th string bass) and high E together and then 2nd string and then 3rd string (contrast to 3rd and then 2nd in previous patterns)
This pattern is to be played only once after which 3rd fret high E is released and high E is played OPEN with same picking pattern --- 1st string->2nd string->3rd string
This is played 3 times.
That's it! This was exhaustive but i hope it helps.

Nice tutorial, dude. I have a suggestion for you. Although I can play this song already and came across this video, maybe it's better to play the parts before you explain them. When you do it like that, people will remember the song and that will increase their learning experience.

+CallumMcGaw Yeah I couldn't catch the 9th fret on the G string 10th fret on the E string, I know what those things are but it doesn't sound right, a closeup of your hands or real straightforward finger placement instructions would help out us beginners

+Jamessawyer010 if you don't know notes on guitar, learn or do what I did go play piano as it's easier to find notes. You should learn to play tabs. It's hard at first but if I can do it you can too.
+Fahim I'm having trouble downloading his tabs.... They're .rar files and I've never seen or dealt with these files before. When I downloaded his Hanging Tree file it was in a compressed .zip folder which was very easily accessible to me........ How do I access these .rar files after downloading them?

g.15 g.14 g.12 g.9 then play a 7 on g and slide to the 9th
the order play the strings is g b e one after the other so (ex. g.12 b e g.9 b e)

You should explain the picking patters so Im not jumbling around on the frets because It doesnt sound right. Good thing I could figure out... but 3 times I thought I was dumb and couldn't count frets. When really, the picking pattern changes with each section.

Hey great video I can't believe how fast I picked up on playing this song because of your video and im just a beginner. With that I'd like to say thanks. However, just some feedback. For the strumming part you have to show where your fingers are being placed. I know you said the chord names but I get so lost because of so many people's different variations. Also, strumming pattern you have to start it off a little show so beginners like myself can pick up on it. Other then that thank you for teaching me one of my favorite songs and I look forward to more awesome tutorials.

I think it's a C maj7 with your pinky on 4th fret of the G string and the G variant is that same chord structure one string up

12th is essentially the 0th note on each string. you should be able to just hear it. 3rd string: 12th;9th;14th;11th;12th with a bunch of b;e's thrown in after each time the 3rd is picked. 2nd part 12th;9th;14th;11th;16th
3rd part 12th;7/9;15th;14th/12th and after that a 505 (1-2-3) and a d - minor rinse n repeat

Nevermind, i kinda got it right this time
A fix to fret buzz is to get your finger closer to your intended fret. If that won't work you should try to get the action lowered at your local music shop
Press harder on the strings to avoid buzzing
