Cause noone outside of Dallas looked at the bigger picture. Out of all WC playoff teams the Mavs had by far the biggest injury problems. Specially in the first half of the season. Dallas started 8-2, then all the injuries happened, and as soon as we got somewhat healthy again (since Kyrie came back from injury and we traded for Gafford/Lively to be exact) we closed the season 24-9, while resting our entire starting 5 in the last 2 losses... Without the injuries this team wouldve been right up there with Denver/Minnesota/OKC battling for the 1st seed all season.
