    For those having issues. I turned my speakers on. Clicked Add on both, turned my Bluetooth off and they finally both paired. Then add one to Bluetooth again and they worked

      Sadly this still isn't working for me. One is a soundbox pro+ and the other is a soundbox pro. Maybe this is the problem, idk.

    Can you do a video on how to fix this particular speakers charging port. Mine stopped working. Idk what happened. Can you use a cellphone one swap them out?

    I just received a replacement Doss Soundbox. The first one I bought would NOT read the MicroSD card. I tried everything with both units: 3 brand-new 32GB cards, FAT32 and exFAT format, MP3 and WMA formats for the music. Green light would flash, but neither unit would read any of the cards. What could be the problem?

    I have the Doss Traveler and I really like it. I couldn't pass it up since it looks like a wolf/fox with leds for eyes. Mine doesn't have 2 unit stereo pairing, leds or Bluetooth 4.2, only 4.0. But as I use mine when I walk those features wouldn't be used. My ION bluetooth boombox (Spectraboom) has the leds like that. I never use it. But those DOSS speakers are nice. Mine has the same power output and battery too.

    Reminds me closely of my Sony SRS-XB3 (I have two) which also have great sound and even longer battery life. Mine lack the flashy lights which I am okay with (The new Sony models have this) and the SD card slot is a great feature to have! Can these be linked? That's a feature the Sonys have that I really like.
    Definitely very cool speakers indeed.

    JBL Charge3 makes it possible to pair two or more speakers for stereo separation.

    Thanks for an interesting demonstration.
    I had a similar unit of a different brand,and although it had 2 speakers,the bluetooth was in fact mono.
    I discovered this because I have dedicated left and right tones on my phone and even over 4" there is no doubt.
    If this is definitely stereo,does it mean that when the 2nd unit is added,the units become mono as they would need to?

    • @12voltvids
      @12voltvids  6 років тому

      The unit operates in stereo when there is only 1 unit.
      When you add the 2nd unit, notice the lights. One indicated the left channel and the other the right. The units operate as dedicated speakers, using both speakers in each cabinet to double the power. One for the left channel and the other for the right. There is nothing mono about it. Mono would be mixing the left and right channels.

      @@12voltvids Do you know if there is there an option to keep them both mono in case you wanted to use them in different rooms and still able to switch back to L and R when used together?

    • @12voltvids
      @12voltvids  5 років тому

      @@rossallen13
      Yes you can use it as a single mode stereo with 1 speaker in each room and switch back and forth between devices but if they are paired as stereo then 1 becomes left and the other right. You do realize that Bluetooth has limited range right. So putting them is different rooms probably isn't going to work well as you walk around with your phone. They are good for up to 10 metres, 30 feet but going through walls reduces that range. I placed them in my living room which is large with the speakers about 24 feet apart and they work great in that room but if I walk a room over the furthest one starts getting choppy because I am now more than 10 meters away from the furthest speaker.

    • @rossallen13
      @rossallen13 5 років тому

      @@12voltvids Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah, I think I'm trying to use them for something that isn't intended really. I'd like to be able to play the same music out of both at the same time in different rooms with both playing in mono though as per a normal speaker system but then also be able to move them around and connect in stereo. Again, thanks for the reply. Great video.

    you should try a larger card and google search a program called "guiformat". It should format the card as FAT32 and you might be able to get a card larger than 32 GB working on it.

    • @12voltvids
      @12voltvids  6 років тому +1

      32gigs is more than most people would ever want to put on a system like this. Most of these units have a maximum number of files they can support anyway. For example in my car I can put up to a 128 gig USB stick in it, but it really doesn't matter because the system can only see 9999 files anyway, so all those extra tracks will never play. Many of these players only support 1000 tracks. I didn't test this to find out. The SD playback is more for convenience anyway. You download your favorite party mix in the order you want it to play, plug in the card and let it rip.

    I'm not a big fan of 2 drivers sharing one passive radiator (stereo separation suffers) therefore I went for AUKEY Eclipse 2x 10W RMS off Amazon 33usd or something. I pleace it on my bed's headboard 15cm behind my head and with a proper equalizer I can swear I'm listening to 2 100w floor standers

    • @12voltvids
      @12voltvids  6 років тому

      Actually it doesn't because the passive radiator only responds to the low frequency sound which is mono and not directional to begin with.

    • @XMguy
      @XMguy 6 років тому

      If yours is like 12voldvids here and my Doss Traveler then the passive radiator is on the back. I have an Anker of usual design. Less power, but a front radiator. I do notice a bit more bass punch from those. But I never classify any speaker of this size to a floor tower 3 way high wattage speaker set. Those have a great resonance chamber, descreate speakers for each range, it's no Comparison.
      These are made for travel and good sound from a small package. They do that. But they're not a home stereo replacement.

    • @12voltvids
      @12voltvids  6 років тому

      It has 2 passive radiators, or drones as they used to be called.
      They are not marketed as a home stereo replacement. Anyone serious about music will have a large set of speakers and a good quality amplifier. These are aimed at the millennial crowd, who don't really care about quality (just try listening to the crap they listen to) don't have money for a big system, live in small places with no room for a large stereo. In other words those that live in basement suites, small apartments ect where they they wouldn't be able to have a big system set up. Perhaps in a bedroom, or dorm room. That is the target buyer of these, and for the size they sound pretty dam good. No they will never replace my big ass speakers and tube amp, but to take outside in the back yard to stream some stuff from my phone they are more that good enough.

    @12voltvids does the 10w x2 output power mean its 20+ watts in total ??

    • @12voltvids
      @12voltvids  6 років тому +1

      Generally that is what 10W x2 means. 10 watts per channel. So 20 watts output and when there are 2 speakers bridged it becomes 20 watts per channel.

    • @12voltvids
      @12voltvids  6 років тому

      Madness832
      No you get stereo out of a single unit just like any portable stereo blaster did. If you have a second one then your can physically place them 7 feet apart just like you would with a real stereo with wired speakers which will fill the room with a proper image sound as that is what recording engineers mix for. A 7 foot sound stage.
