My husband and I just traveled, (in our little travel trailer) that area from just north of Laughlin ( started at Katherine Landing North campground ( highly recommended! ), then south to Parker. We spent 4 nights at 3 different State Park overflow parking lots. It's almost impossible to get camping reservations in the regular campgrounds because of all the " Snowbirds" from the Northern U.S.A. They just move around every 2 weeks ( the limit for any one stay )... We too saw all that "free dispersed camping" miles before and after Lake Havasu City. It may be free but very exposed, windy as all get out, and ATV'S racing noisily all over. No thanks! I seen the area once and don't feel a need to ever go back. I am very glad you Russ are happy there. What good is the desert without any cactuses? So many other beautiful places in Az....
Oh one other thing I love watching rvtv Rush the things you bring to the table and the things you show us the so cool I'm disabled now in a power chair can't do much but I love watching you and what you show and represent is so cool to me thank you and I mean that thank you you're too cool for school
Bill Williams Wildlife Refuge was a beautiful place. You’ve been my vacation guide for the past two years due to the health and then passing of my parents. Due to fuel prices this year, it looks like you will be my vacation guide again this year. 👍😁
:Greetings from NSW Australia. What I really like about these videos is how the Drone footage enhances the whole presentation. They give a entirely unique way of seeing the country as Russ drives through an area. Well done Russ.
The 74 miles from Lake Havasu to Quartzite was like many roads I traveled during my 38 years in trucking..very desolate but beautiful at the same time! Thanks for sharing, Russ! Safe travels! ~Jim~
Thanks so much for this stop! I love the Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge! So nice. There are a lot of birds rabbits and such there at various times in the year. Glad you saw a few Canvasback Ducks during this visit. Yes, a gorgeous spot! Thanks also for the arial view of the areas.
🙋♀️Hello Russ! Nice aerial view of Cat Tail Cove. I wander if that was a Egret making that noise? To close to a nest maybe? The aerial views enhance the beautiful topographical area. I think the reflection of the sky skimming across he top of the water makes for a Picture Perfect Kodak moment! Turned out to be a wonderful day. Enjoyed seeing Bill Williams Refuge. 👍
Notice a little bath-tub ring. Still praying for winter snows on the west side of the Rockies. Great video! Sometime you should check out old Cinega Springs. Pretty cool back there. Lots of old mining.
So cool. I have gone to Lake Havasu since the late 70’s. I had no idea you could go down there and that it had a visitor center. Thanks. Love your journey’s
That's such a nice area, really pretty. I can understand why ppl and birds would flock there in the winter, lol. Yes, looking forward to the bloom. Ty for showing us around. 🙂👍
Love your work Russ. Next time you are in the Parker area I think a drone video of the Parker Keys, Blue Water hotel and other river hot spots would be a huge hit. It's a beautiful area, and aerial footage would be a really awesome perspective. God bless and safe travels. Once again thanks again for all your amazing photography and commentary.
I'd love to know what kind of bird was making that sweet chirping when you arrived at the refuge, and while you were walking around. That sounded so pretty.
Are used to fish at the pumping station for the water to go to Lake Mathews this incredible place and if you put your scuba gear on and go under you'll see some of the damnedest things there's catfish that are 7 ft long and weigh 100 lb in the water below the Nets with the water pumps through so cool and out by herb the canal that was dry a couple days ago where the water goes into the tunnel to go through the pinto mountains on its way to Lake Mathews world record catfish are in Lake Mathews California anybody caught 130 lb catfish but we can't claim it because you go to jail
I am a bit confused the Bill Williams River I thought the Bill Williams River ran from the Colorado River to Phoenix area for drinking water are you saying that it's a natural river that flows into the Colorado River I am confused which way the water runs from the Bill Williams River
We Love RVerTV - BEST TV ON UA-cam. Thank you Russ.

I used to hunt geese and ducks near there in the 1970s, North end of Havasu too. Boy can't do that now. None of those homes were there back then.
I couldn't agree with you more in how beautiful this part of the country is. Tku for sharing.

I believe that bird is some kind of grackle🧐
You are correct I think in Arizona they call them blackbirds but they are all over the place in Mexico and that's what they sound like

I’m calling AZGFD on you due to this video. Utterly blown away at how anyone can do this and think they’d get away with it.

There are man-made aqueducts that carry water from the River to Phoenix - the Central Arizona Project. (CAP)
