Hanging leg raises and standing cable crunches twice a week tick all the boxes for me. Potential to progressive overload, hits almost all the abs and I just don't stick to any more direct ab work than that
@kenneth dias there is no way to lost on specific spot (depending on genetics somebody carry more bf in belly, ass, legs...), you have to lower bf% in whole body and the way to do that is to be in calorie defecit. find the right balance how low you should go before you are out of energy a whole time
You’re videos are the most honest and realistic I’ve seen on UA-cam. You describe the various workouts and what they target yet recognize it’s essentially impossible to solely target one muscle. That makes me trust your knowledge so much.
Ok...well this takes the cake! Eugene was already one of my favorite online fitness gurus but the TOOL shirt just pushed him over the top of the charts! Ride the spiral brotha!!!
first of all i think i speak for everyone but i love these videos, i hope we’ll see them for every muscle eventually. and also i wanted to ask how many times a week i should train abs if im looking to reveal them and make them “pop” more
Absolute pure quality. You speak very clearly and concise. You are knowledgeable and you instruct very very well. Impressive. I will certainly check out your App. I look forward to seeing more quality videos.
great tutorial. The que for obliques and discussion on breathing is so helpful. They've been mentioned by others, but not explained well. So thanks for bringing the lesson home!
When I was a kid I was chubby almost fat, but when I did an abdominal tuck I looked normal only slightly pasty so I got really good at holding a tuck so much so that I distinctly remember holding almost subconsciously during pool or beach related events as a common thing.
Thanks so much for doing these videos. seeing the muscles in this way better helps me understand better how they are intended to work and thus what range of motion is best for optimal results
Seriously, you give some of the most educational and useful fitness advice on the web. 🔥🔥🔥 I'm a personal trainer as well, and I exude no ego when learning from those who may be more knowledgable. Teach on Uncle!! 💪🏾💪🏾 ?, when it comes to ab training, would you say its best to clock your sets, count by reps, or either? Best regards
I heard from some trainer with medical education that plank is good for abs because there are much more "static tissue" in these muscles then "dynamic tissue". She had very big and good abs not even for a woman but generally. Dunno, whether her abs came from the plank though.
Eugene is weighted oblique training like dumble side bend or farmer carry make wide the stomach area or how to train them as the waistline remain small
I remember chris jones covering the rib cages to pelvis motion with his skeleton. People really be out here making ab routine vids for beginners with 0 spine flexion.
Very informative.Appreciate your time and hardwork. I have a very unique issue my abs cramps horribly when I do flexion exercises to train the rectus abdominis. But leg raises and similar exercises to train lower back doesn't trigger cramps much.Static exercises like planks doesn't trigger cramps either. It has been like this for few years now. When I started at age 16 I could do flexion exercises without an issue. Any advise would be appreciated(I am hydrated,my Sodium,Potassium,Calcium and Chlorine serum levels are normal)
Explained with great eloquence , but I have a question that while doing woodchoppers do the feet rotate or they remain fixed , thanks for your content 🙌
Great and informative video, it was really fun to watch, will you someday share more specific exercises to train directly each portion of the abdominals and how to perform them correctly? Unfortunately, the only 2 exercises that I know for abs are leg raises and any crunch movements in general, but I don't want to end up with a really developed rectus abdominis and underdeveloped obliques and transversus, so it would really come in handy
Great video man and the integration of the app is definitely the way to go. Any chance of blowing up the action/insertion/innervation on the screen for us nerds out there
I take a weird amount of pride in you wearing Tool shirts lol. Tool, A Perfect Circle, Gojira, Lamb Of God, and Black Sabbath are basically the gym jams everytime I go.
A couple of weeks back, I did something to my left shoulder and it just hurts when I more it anyway shape or form. My doctor said it does not look like a rotator cuff tear just an inflamed tendon. Any suggestions on how to speed up the recovery so I can take advantage of your free trial before I sign up whole hog? Thanks a bunch.
Can you do some more videos about increasing your flexibility using strength training methods. The last video conversation was very interesting… cheers m
Also guys, remember to squeeze (pull in) that transverse every time, with any exercise. If you keep it pushed out, you will end up with a bigger lower belly.
but stuart mcgill says bending the spine under load will cause injury and only train core staticly, especially twisting movements like the russian twist, but i belive i will have to move my spine under load in all directions to live and be active, how to blend those theories together, i do alot of snowboarding and its very difficult to ride a snowboard without torsional flexion of the spine, so my thought prosess would be to strenghten those muscles in the gym, but then an back injury expert likw stuart mcgill says dont do it, i just dont see how that train of thought can apply to anything in real life

Bro my six pack seems to be visible but how do I get rid of the lower belly fat? Do I have to cut carbs completely ?
@@kennethdias1147 be in a caloric deficit at the end of the day its about calories in vs calories out
@@kennethdias1147 not carbs but calories

2-3 times per week is great. Make sure your diet is in check to get your body fat down if needed
@@coacheugeneteo thank you very much 🙃

Glad to hear itb
I find hanging hollow body holds are amazing for engaging the abs.
Much better than planks!
Thanks for the information.
I'm going to watch this video repeatedly, in order to really process all of it.

I literally was wondering when I would get the genesis for my core. Thanks again Eugene!
