Today i see many youth teaching parents... the older generation often are not well educated. Big mistakes were made. This is not the way it should be and we see the problems. Its not kids not behaving or parents making them leave its parents not educated and kids following their own and learn to only count on their own experience... islam is my teacher, way more than parents ever did.
Maybe once was a Christian country, but now they turn away from God. GOD never abandons His Children... but children often wonder off from their parents.

Listen lady as a parent it's your Job to train and bringing up your child in your way of life and its religion and customs. Discipline is a fundamental part of bring up children without it there is a high chance your children will be wayward and uncontrollable. Her concern seems to be that children should be free to think and act for themselves with very little restrictions from parents. When the child grows past 18 or 20yrs then he can decide for himself what is true and false

The Purpose of Jinn's and Mankind's creation وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ (And I did not create the Jinns and the human beings except that they should worship Me."...51 : 56). But clearly if Allah wanted robots, he would make robots. Humans have free will, becuase they are created with free will. If people were not supposed to have free will, it would not exist. Earth could just be full of PLANTS, and the Trees worship Allah all day... no choices. no animals. no humans. Just plants.
