- They would be so proud to perform in front of the President of Korea.
Those who are still confused as to what happened, Straykids are in Riyadh right now, since they are gonna perform in Riyadh season[btw Chungha is also going to perform there] but the show got cancelled due to bad weather, now they performed at Expo2020 Dubai in front of The President of Korea, The First Lady & Other VIPs.
I still feel sad for Stays who were going to the concert but got cancelled, Hope y'all are safe.

Its called EXPO 2020 cuz this event was supposed to happen in October of 2020 but got postponed due to covid pandemic so they held it in October of 2021 and this event will end on 10 April 2022 (According to google) So they decided to still name it EXPO 2020 [Correct me if i am wrong🙃]

This performance makes me giggle so much! They seriously did an AMAZING job of course, but the G-rated SKZ is just too much LMAO. Hyunjin barely looked at anyone, Felix and Leeknow did no butt touching, and Chris is wearing a literal shirt! HAHAHAHAHAH
RIGHT?! The whole time I was watching, I was like...this is a WEIRD performance for them. Like, they are giving it their all, but NO ONE in the crowd is even reacting, and Chan is in an actual SHIRT. WHAT. 🤣

Thunderous / Sorikkun is really the perfect song to represent Korea. From the culture celebrating appeal from the music video to this stage, the traditional instruments used in the song, the witty lyrics, to the modern Hanboks that is basically Stray Kids’ uniform at this point. Not only that, they also wrote, composed, and produced this song themselves. Ever since I saw the mv and heard the song, I’ve always thought that Thunderous is the peak of kpop. Modern music mixed with tradition. Modern enough to show how far music has evolved but also traditional enough to show how it began. A beautiful piece that brought their country to life on that stage in front of their president and Dubai vips. This is kpop. This is Stray Kids. Well done.

I guess Stray Kids were chosen to be part of the opening of Korean Pavilion with the song Thunderous aka Sorikkun
The song is not just a diss track to antis/haters but also paying homage to the art of Pansori (the ancient art of story-telling) and dokkaebi which is a part of the Korean culture.

@Dahyunboo Oh no, a lot of stays and k-pop fans attended, after the skz performance in front of the VVIPs, they then performed on another stage along with G-idle, Sunmi, PSY, Goldenchild, and Forestella - that's where there was a crowd of k-pop fans attended the Concert (which was the same day) hope this was clear, and also no need to apologize, all is good.

I'm so proud of my boys, it's not easy to perform in a crowd that's filled with world leaders but they were excellent. The standing ovation at the end was a tear jerker.
Seeing all those important people cheer for them was the most heartwarming thing ever. I know our boys were nervous but they were still able to give an amazing performance in front of such a tough crowd. They need to be proud of that. 💗

I love how they incorporate MORE Korean elements to the performance (sound wise, that song has a lot of cultural aspects into it). And their energy was admirable, performing so close to the crowd is a really intimidating thing, they showed how professional they are 💜

Its funny how people call skz’s music ‘construction music’ when skz is literally the blueprint for this type of music. Almost all the 4th groups that debuted after them have released the same type of music as skz
I know them back then but only knew a few melody and lyrics of their hits. Recently I found myself enjoy their songs a lot cuz surprisingly it suits my taste. But, people judge their music isn't right! Music has a diverse genre and it never right to hate them just because SKZ's music didn't suit their taste! I'm glad they gain big popularity in global cuz I think in SK they didn't get much recognition. Oh and not to forget that they produce their music themselves, which means they could create a song that suits public taste but they stick to their unique colour and it's sth that should be compliment! ❤🤗

Not me crying like a baby, but I’m just so so proud of them, performing at the Expo which is such a big event and IN FRONT OF THEIR PRESIDENT, showing their country’s culture, such an achievement!
The fact that hyunlix still made that hand movement, for all the seriously atmosphere, haunts me. I love it so much

то что держатся за руки? так и чанбин с чаном рядом делают зеркальное движение и тоже держатся
@@gbsstan5674 Феликс и Хёнджин, в отличие от Чана и Чанбина, не просто держатся руками, а как бы жамкают их друг другу. Они это придумали и на всех выступлениях это можно отчётливо увидеть, то, как они балуются с этим. Тут был президент, но они всё равно сделали это, но более скрытно и аккуратно
