I would LOVE an episode on common backyard frogs and frog calls, FWIW!! I've never seen a wood frog in our neighborhood, but we sure do get plenty of others since we put in our frog pond. The gray tree frogs are especially cute and plentiful, and the males' aggression call--a high-pitched, pleading "meep meep meep"--is simply hilarious.
Just heard wood frogs and spring peepers in the 2000 acre marsh behind my place 3 days ago. At least 3 weeks earlier than I’ve ever heard them before. (Blazing saddles)👍
cool but also horrifying! especially around reproduction, death, food. Birth is so violent, so is conception, everything killing each other to survive day to day- it's nuts! I guess the plant kingdom is more peaceful @@BackyardEcology 😅
true, I guess its just a different life strategy. I think animal vs plant really boils down to a fundamental difference in cell division which reflects up the chain to the organism at every level. You should do a video on the differences between plant and animal and even fungi mitosis, if that interests you as well@@BackyardEcology
Wow! So cool! Could you also please do a video about Grey Tree Frogs. I think we have EASTERN Grey Tree Frogs in our backyard, maybe Cope's...not sure but they're so cute and I enjoy hearing their songs and would very much like hearing you talk about them.

incredible!!
You can't just ask people to pick one favorite Mel Brooks movie, that's not a fair question. They're all my favorite
Very true. It is an unfair question!

Gray tree frogs are one of my favorites! They like to hang out under our shutters and run up the screens at night.
FROG // SICLE
*I'd have to go with SPACEBALLS
They've gone plaid!
Young Frahnk-en-steen
An abby normal classic!

Nice! I have been told they were going strong in northern IN last week. An iconic Mel Brooks movie.
@@BackyardEcology the campfire scene. ‘Nuff said.😂
sometimes the natural world feels like a fever dream- you cannot make this stuff up. Every aspect of it is alien.
Yep, nature is super cool!

Plants can be just as crazy, they just do it in ways that are harder to see. @@JC-nl3nh

So.... grey tree frog video in the works soon? Please, please? 🥺
@@kathleenhowell9362 There are a lot in line ahead of it so I'm not sure when it would come out.
That's okay. I'm just so glad to hear that it IS in the line somewhere. Yay! 🥰 I'm sure it will be well worth the wait.
Young Frankenstein
A classic!
Yeah. Mel Brooks best movie? Too hard to pick. Maybe Young Frankenstein or Blazing Saddles???
Both classics! But he had so many good ones it is hard to narrow it down to one.
@@BackyardEcology * impossible!
