Yes he did! I was going to raise him. Since I couldn’t hear anything, I thought he jammed when he threw in the one chip! When I found out it was a bet, I was kinda relieved I didn’t have to make a tough decision. That wave of relief factored into my decision and I just called. GG Ryan!

At 8:05 Greg says, "$600 in the pot and I have $500 left, so I think I'll go for a small bet, bet fold." He then bets $200. Assuming he got raised, why would he now fold his last $300 for a pot that would have $1,300, especially if he's got a set? If he bets, I think he's committed here. I could understand that play if he had $2,000 behind, but not $300 behind.
Greg doesn’t really know what he’s doing. He has little to no experience playing real poker. Doesn’t matter how many books you’ve read or how many videos he’s watched. His decision making and thought process shows how inexperienced he is. Anyone who takes poker seriously would never decide to bet 200 there and then pre plan to fold if he gets raised.
Also if u notice a lot of times I’ve heard Greg say this in previous videos that he doesn’t know what to do here in situations that are very clear on what to do (QJ on the button after a 3-bet pre)
Matt Vaughn is impressive. You can tell he has the intellectual, problem solving type DNA. I'd love to know much of how he communicates when talking about poker is learned/taught over time, vs. natural born instinct.
i see him more as a person of average intelligence who just studies, like Bart Hanson. They don't have the natural instincts for poker that are needed to achieve greatness. They just do what they're told
I hope Berkey can get some players who have superior intelligence to play, and really showcase their skill. Berkey needs to contact Israel's Son and make it happen.
Isn't 20:50 normally a board that you're meant to bet 1/3 on as the preflip aggressor? I'm not sure if Matt's saying it's a good board to overbet or if I'm misinterpreting.
I noticed people treating these small suited wheel aces like aces except they maybe slowplay aces sometimes and A2s-A5s they almost always 3bet or even 4bet nowadays
Generally a fan of S4Y and POL but so far this season has been disappointing compared to past seasons. Not sure if it’s card distribution (so not many spots), player pool or editing (they’re trying to stretch too many episode from one session.) Maybe a combination of all 3. DePaulo is the one carrying it from an entertainment point of view. Matt V definitely seems head and shoulders above the rest in terms of his ability to think through hands.
I don't understand what S4Y is now trying to accomplish with Poker Out Loud. It used to be that we could watch it to gain knowledge from players who thought about and studied the game deeply. Obviously, it is no longer that. I guess they are now going for entertainment only.
@Jordan Hooper I mean if you’re a nit I guess. It’s 15 bucks and you have potential to flop nutted hands on boards that connect with your opponents opening range. I’d also call suited Connectors in that spot but I guess it depends on how tight your range is. For me in a 2/5 game I’m never folding a hand that strong especially against an action player
