you probably dont give a damn but does someone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Karson Ali Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Love how this video is focused on one vegetable! It’s like a crash course on a new vegetable. I’m not very adventurous with new foods so this is helpful!
I'm so happy the crash course was helpful :) Going vegan really opened up my eyes to all the wonderfully interesting vegetables out there. Hope you enjoy trying kabocha squash out!
Wow! I love your delivery. You get right to the point without delay. Wish more people did this on UA-cam. Terrific, healthy recipe. I just had Kabocha last night for the first time. I roasted it with onions and asparagus, EVOO, s & p. I have to say I don't love the flavor It tastes like pumpkin to me, (even smells like pumpkin) and has no sweetness at all. No "nutty" tones. I much prefer butternut, but glad I tried Kabocha. Now I know. Thanks for your post. I love curries, too. :)
My dad grows these orange squashes, and our garden is always all over the place, because it takes so much space. One year we also had grown this scquash on apple tree, it was funny to see how the scquash wanted to crawl everywhere 😊 nice recipes btw 👍
I would microwave the whole pumpkin for a few minutes first so that it will soften a little bit for cutting. Depending on the size of the pumpkin and your microwave voltage , I would start with 2 minutes at a time. I hope this is helpful.
06/12/21: Wow, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I have a Kabocha squash in my pantry and didn't know what to do with it, but now I have options, thanks to you! ❤️
Thank you. I have been flowing you and cooking with you..🙂..for a few years and really enjoy your recipes and videos. I am going to make the curry now and banana bread this weekend. Peace,
I have Kabocha squash in my garden right now and soon will harvest in another month. I intend to use your recipes as they look good, delicious and nutritious.
I just signed up for Misfits Market (a organic veggie subscription box) one of the veggies provided is this squash! I can’t wait to make this recipe on Tuesday!!
@@oliviamartino4355 I think it should work for the curry! Not exactly sure about the banana bread though since it's less sweet and the texture is more watery.
Dear chef, the banana cake tastes fantastic! Really totally unexpectedly outofthisworld superbe!🥰😋 Thank you so much that you helped me make my husband really happy! He loves bananas AND now kabocha!!😃 like me. I was a bit stressed because I followed your video and wanted to make all three, Iended up with 1/3 part to make the curry today😃🥰😋!! Love your very clear lesson!! 🙏🏽💋👍🏼 I’m a subscriber!!😍
Thank tou for your beautiful video and also beautiful recipes in your pleasant and clear instructions!! I have watched it so many times today still trying to choose which recipe to make first😃🥰😋 They all look so tantalizingly delicious😀. I just asked my hubby to cut 2 kabochas the way you showed so now we are going to try the snacks and then i want to bake the banana cake🥰😋 If there is some kabocha left i want to try the curry 🥳😃😍 Thank 🙏🏽🙏🏽 for your very very inspirational teachings!!😍😃
Yum looks delicious i am making this soon difficult to get kabocha squash in Singapore drooling over my samsung galaxy j4 love your recipes making me hungry Thanks Ramya
I love your channel and videos but here I have to share my tip, I don't try to cut the kabocha before cooking it, I actually put it whole in a steamer and voilà, I cut it afterwards, not only is it safer, faster but it is healthier AND "yummier" (?), in fact, it's so delicious the squash doesn't need ANY ingredient, just like chestnuts, good as is, fabulous, my favorite fall, winter food! I eat one about once a week!
Thank you for the tip! What kind of steamer do you use? I have tried kabocha squash steamed but I prefer it roasted (I prefer most vegetables roasted hehe), but willing to give it another try :)
Roast the squash and then peel, very easy for those without the required upper body strength, just pop in oven whole and keep refrigerated to use in soups and sauces as needed
Fun Fact: Kabocha comes originally from South American (not Japan). In Latin America it is called Auyama. In the United States it is called Squash. Latin people cook it especially in Beans and soups slow cooked for hours.
Thanks Natalia! I am happy you're inspired to try kabocha squash :) Yes, it was tahini mixed with lemon juice, salt, pepper and a little warm water to thin. Super simple but delish.
Hmmm…, That looks more like a Buttercup Squash. Kabocha Squash look a bit different. I used to live in Japan (where they are from) and I grow Kabocha Squash myself so I’m real familiar with them. I have one sitting on my countertop now. Asian Markets like H-Mart etc. usually sell them. Ck Google Images. Do you have a Vegan Pizza Recipe? I’ve looked through your videos and don’t see one. Please make one of you haven’t already! Thanks! (-:
Honestly I don't cut it, I steam it first, whole, in a steamer, than I cut it, it's so much better, and faster, it's healthier and wow, so delicious, the skin is so yummy etc and because it retained all its flavor it doesn't need anything else, I don't even add salt to it, nothing (and I'm a salt and pepper person!)
This is sad. i needed to learn how to cut a Kabocha Squash... but i only heard about 20% of what you said. Stunnning woman with an equally great, engaging personality. i still have no clue how to cut this tough-skinned squash... but i think she said something about using your core. lol. i'll listen again and pay attention this time.
I just made the curry and it is truly one of the most delicious recipes I’ve ever tried thank you so much for sharing ❤️

Oh that's so cool! I used to get a CSA and would always get tons of winter squash. Hope you enjoy cooking (and eating) the kabocha squash!
I got my box! I received an acorn squash. Would that be a good substitute? I’m not too familiar with squashes
@@oliviamartino4355 I think it should work for the curry! Not exactly sure about the banana bread though since it's less sweet and the texture is more watery.
Yumm I love Kabocha squash! The banana bread looks amazing and the perfect texture 😍😋

Thanks Ramya! Can you find pumpkin or butternut squash in Singapore?

It was divine 😍
thank you for the feedback. So happy to hear that!
MY FAVORITE SQUASH!
RainbowPlantLife SQUAD! 😂
Haha glad you're part of it!
NICE
What is the white ingredient you pour on the squash when baking
Oo those recipes look amazing! Definitely going to give this veggie a try. What was that sauce that you drizzled over the wedges? Tahini based?
Thanks Natalia! I am happy you're inspired to try kabocha squash :) Yes, it was tahini mixed with lemon juice, salt, pepper and a little warm water to thin. Super simple but delish.
What are your thoughts on steaming kambocha in instant pot?
What is the liquid you poured on the squash after baking the pieces
😋
Hi Vivian! Thank you :)
Can you freeze kombocha squash?

Sent you an email about my story with food. This looks amazing I can’t wait to try this one really enjoying your cookbook keep it up
Please provide the gluten-free flour recipe that you use. Thanks.
Always feel like I accomplished the biggest task after cutting up all the different squashes especially the really big kabocha squashes 🤣
It is definitely an accomplishment haha. Thanks Helen!

Microwave it for 1-2 minutes to soften before cutting. 👍
You don’t even need to smash it. It’s so creamy that you can just mush it up with a fork.
