Absolute perfection Laura! Great work as always! Thank you so much for sharing all this beauty with us! I loved seeing the dirt sprinkled in slow motion. Great team effort and what a spectacular finish!!❤❤
I'm blessed to have a landlady who lets me go crazy playing with succulents. I also have several neighbors who have given me cuttings. And I have you. You have been so inspirational in my getting addicted/interested in these wonderful plants. Thank you so much.
bluesky7226 yes, this project definitely has a large $$$$$$$$$$ budget. I was blown away when I saw all of the beautiful plants being unloaded and lined up. Lots of rocks, more dirt and a labor of love to get them located over that Arroyo wall. Plus, you have to house and take good care of team DFS for the week that they are there working; they can't drive from San Diego to Pasadena everyday. I will hire Laura & team when I win the lottery someday...... Love them!
Another stunning garden complete. Love the pool jump - you're not as limber as you used to be, hey Laura? Hilarious. You guys know how to have fun while you work. I loved the walk through, but I'd rather hear your voiceover Laura. I like learning all the names of the plants and the techniques and tips you give. Well done Team DFS.
It's beautiful and will be even more beautiful when some of those large plants get bigger -- the Aeonium sunburst near the house and the Aloes/Agaves on the against the stone wall will be show stoppers. Can't wait to see the one year maintenance. My back hurts watching the kids moving all that rock - kudos to them ;)
What a beautiful landscape! and a drastic improvement with filming and editing your videos. They are very pleasant to watch indeed and we can really enjoy and see everything !👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Just get cuttings from public planting’s. There’s some nice tree aloes in south Chula Vista shopping center, where there’s an Apple store, I’m not sure the name of it.
Chloe Flores- save your money, you can find a 1 or 2ft tall tree for way way less (under $100) than a boxed 5ft tree ($1000+) plus delivery fees. Put your little tree in a beautiful pot and be patient. Plant it in the ground and in 10+ years it will be a beautiful giant monster that you will have to protect from people trying to hack off cuttings.
Two crazy ladies!! The video w/ music background was almost a spiritual experience. All the beautiful succulents are like looking into a large box of jewels. Outstanding, people!!!
Wow! Absolutely breath taking. I love succulents can’t keep them outside on the east coast wish I could just love watching your videos and dreaming! But I do keep them in pot gardens.🤗
I almost cried when I see the Grand reveal of the garden! It's so beautiful! You guys are amazing team! You have given me so much inspiration to keep going in my succulent journey.Thank you for sharing us your knowledge and skills😘👏👏👏
I am so inspired by your work, Laura. I am binge watching your videos today, as we have plenty of time on our hands due to the Covid-19 ban in place here in Spain and we can’t venture outside the house. I found you fairly recently on UA-cam and suddenly everything ‘succulent’ made sense to me. Even my dog has become Jessie The Succulent Dog, much to my husband’s confusion! We have an 1800 square yard plot to design for, but unfortunately we don’t have such great plant centres like you do. However I have found a few little places to search for plant ‘gems’. I don’t always know the exact name of the plants I buy but thanks to you I know the type and so I’m avidly learning.....tags on plants here are often missing, unfortunately. The climate here is similar to San Diego though, so a lot of your advantages apply here too. The only issue we have that you don’t mention, is that we have very windy weather. I can’t just rest a plant and leave it to figure it out for itself.......it would blow away. So I leave more root or stem and actually plant it deeper to anchor it. My biggest challenge is that I have a flat site so I’m struggling to think of ways to introduce height to my design that the wind wouldn’t flatten in minutes! I lost a 3 foot high ‘sticks on fire’ 3 weeks ago.......one day it was there, the next it was just gone! Lol! Thank you, thank you for your generous sharing of your knowledge. You’re my hero! XX
Wow, love everything...the pots are spectacular, but especially the team 'rocking' the yoga and the silly antics. Thanks for sharing so many inspiring ideas! xoxo
Such a special project. I can tell it means a lot to you guys. The shot of the terra cotta planting at 6:10 speaks to the artfully exquisite design work that this space has inspired in your terrific team.
You've totally inspired me to start my succulents and cacti garden, here in Miami. Not sure how it'll all pan out, due to the rains here...a little engineering, I suppose, but that's not going to stop me. Happy growing.
Some of these plants are spectacular! Just unbelievably gorgeous and massive! I would love to know where to find plants of that quality and quantity... I also have a mushroom corner!! Haha BTW it's hard getting out of the pool with wet jeans on, ain't it?!
You guys did an amazing job. I think I'm gonna go buy alot of succulents now 😄 How do you care for those planted outside in areas where you get cold rainy winters?
I wish I lived in a warmer, dryer climate so I could have a succulent garden. I live in London so too wet. I do make succulent arrangements for indoors. Would love to see you make an indoor arrangement and give maintenance tips. I have learnt so much from you and love watching your videos. have a great holiday
Overwhelmingly awesome. Hope you all get rest today. Beautiful 😍👍🏼👍🏼
