Gen z and millenials are the least educated and most indoctrinated generations in the history of man kind. The things they say and do amazes me how little common sense they have. Very few of them actually have intelligence.
You need to watch the Movie Kids from 1995.That explained many behavior of these Peoples.
These are the same people that want to change our laws because their feelings are hurt. This is absolutely terrifying for the future of this country!

Bad news...its not only your country. Its gonna be fun in the next couple of decades in the West,
When the girl didn't know who fought in the Civil War but can name all the Kardashians, I saw Asia die a little bit inside, lol. ❤️
Exactly where the democrats want them. stupid and voting age. Promise them free anything and they will let you few democrats rule the world. Oldest formula in the world.
I thought when he said who fought in the Civil War I'm surprised she didn't say Iron Man and Captain America lol
When my one niece was in 3rd grade she showed me her vocabulary test that she got 100% on, she was so proud. She had so many misspelled words, I asked her about it. She said, spelling didn’t count. Her teacher didn’t teach them spelling at all. That was her English class in 3rd grade.
How can you have misspelled words on a vocabulary test???? That’s the whole point! 🤦🏾♀️🙄
The look on Asia’s face is hilarious. Says it all.
Thinking same thing! The level of disgust!! I share her feelings!!!!
The future drug dealers and welfare recipients have to come from somewhere. Maybe they'll be influencers to help dumb down the next generation.
BJ is grinning like he understands them - and they don't know sh** !
We were just as shocked and dismayed seeing this.....YES....
She’s more blown away by this than the size of the universe vid! 😆
I'm from Australia and was taught most of these basic general knowledge questions about your country 45 years ago. My 12 year old daughter answered all of these questions. No word of a lie. The world is burning before our eyes...we just can't see the flames.
Facts sir! I'm 40 and was taught all of this. We had history and geography. It's so bad that I'm truly concerned about going forward. May go to outer space. Alone!
It is not who votes but who COUNTS that is important. Isn't Public Ed just grand?
‘In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king’. Ask any foreigner living in Australia and they’ll tell you the same thing: Aussies are not the brightest people.
Sir, we can see the flames, but these generational leaders wont want to hurt the flames . The flames have equal rights and deserve to burn the entire world...... i dont know if i want to laugh my ass off or cry my ass off
The Aliens might as well land...and take over THE WHOLE BALL OF WAX!😵
The big problem, I'm a retired teacher, is that we have adopted the "no child left behind" standard. No one fails a grade or has to pass any tests, they just move onto the next semester even if they don't know the material. 😳
My nephew never did any HW or took any tests after he turned 13. He was violent and selling drugs and was suspended, eventually expelled, put in a charter school where he took 2 classes: music production and a free study period. He rarely attended, and yet he graduated high school.
@@DepDawg Are you serious??? SMDH

Only did one day behind bars. We are at our wit’s end. No one is helping us. He needs to be locked up AND get psychiatric treatment. Instead he keeps getting a pass.
Oh, so there's legislation saying it's not legal to hold a child back in school?
@@msdarby515 Sort of. It was called the No Child Left Behind Act. Then Pres. Obama upgraded it to Every Student Succeeds Act. It doesn’t force schools to pass a student on to the next grade or to graduate them, but it punishes schools for every student who fails and is left behind. They have economic sanctions imposed on them, and as the fees increase, they add the additional punishments of the firing of staff and even the closing of the school. As a result, schools are reluctant to fail anyone because it is costly.
The Acts don’t address why students are failing, they just punish the schools and staff for the failures. Since they began the implementation of these Acts, school has become a free pass for students. There’s really no way for them to fail unless they drop out.
I feel you Asia! I once heard a girl say that the 3 branches of the government were the CIA, FBI, and the IRS. This is why i am going back to school to be a teacher! This is ridiculous.
The less you know, the easier you are to control. Notice he tells them they're all correct, they'll believe anything he says after that. They are totally reliant on authority because they know nothing. Scary.

That’s the plan Stan.
Lack of nearly ANY thinking...let alone critical!
I am from the UK and I cry for your young people so much potential lost, all it takes is a good educational system to turn things around.
It's part the school system, part the parents, and part the students not wanting to learn the basics anymore.
That, sadly is becoming the problem. Education in general has shifted into reverse since the Clinton years
Its not just america there buddy hahaha its this whole new gen everywhere
So...please, cry for young italians, too !
I hate to tell you this but there are videos like this of British youth too. And they were just as bad.
I was never specifically taught to count money in school. I was taught basic math and then when I later learned what the values of coins and bills were, it just made sense.
Asia and BJ, I am GLAD that YOU POINTED out that that guy asking the questions is reinforcing their lack of knowledge by saying "YES" after every wrong answer!!! NO other reactors pointed that out. GIVE THEM THE CORRECT ANSWER so that MAYBE they will REMEMBER it and LEARN something!! ARGHHHHH!!
I know the interview guy’s video is edited to cut out all of the right answers, but the fact he managed to find so many ignorant people is still scary.
Selective editing is hardly even an explanation anymore, because there have been thousands of these types of videos now. It is sadly not difficult to find these folk.

social media prolly the biggest problem for genz
this is sad. I have gone through this with my grandchildren. I try to tell about how this country was built and they look at me like I'm some weirdo. My grandfather and uncle loaded all of the family's belongings in a wagon. They lived in eastern Kentucky. They drove that wagon pulled by a team of mules to southeast Indiana. I was told it took seven days. I tell my grandkids about it and they think it's made up. I hope they are learning something in school.
If your grandkids really are this bad, I'm wondering what kind of job you did teaching your children. Are they even aware of this? Or are they satisfied to be as clueless and uninterested as their children? smh...
"I suck at History, can we do science?". Girl, this is Geography Science
They have access to all the information at their fingertips without leaving the house, and they are still ignorant. As a college instructor I continue to be amazed at the high number of my freshmen and sophomores who graduated from High School without knowing a damn thing. High School graduation is about quantity, not quality in the US. Proof that the US educational system is sub par.
has been sub par for decades now!
It’s been designed that way.
My daughter graduated with a 4.0 gpa. She even got a golden scholarship. She failed her first semester of college and lost her scholarship. I told her I wasn't paying for her next semester. Common core for you.
College instructor? Answer me then - how, if these students are so ill taught - they managed to pass the SAT to even _qualify_ for college? One would think that would weed out the dummies.....
My 11 year old looked at me like I was crazy when I asked him these questions. He answered them without a problem.
*That's what happens in a country where you're raised to believe education and using your heart and brain are bad things and to be attacked.*
It's not just your school systems. Parents have had thier own minds turned to soup by reality tv where you switch off your brain to watch people who don't have one. This has resulted in a lack of critical thinkers and as a result we allowed our children to grow up watching and idolising people who aren't worthy of the life they lead. Finally because we became so pathetically docile and unwilling to face problems that require intelligence and nuance thinking, we submitted to anything that seemed "nice" which allowed people to focus and create issues that are simply not real. It's a lot easier to dye your hair and scream that you're a fucking penguin with special pronouns than it is to solve world hunger, cures to diseases and hell even your own homeless population.
3:31 Someone said this to me recently when talking about GenZ and I can’t get it out of my mind, he said “These are the human beings that are going to be taking care of you and me when we’re elderly.” I’ve decided since then that I’m gonna do everything in my power to make sure that I can do for myself til the day I die. The interview Guy always saying "YES!" to every dumb answer made my day! 😄I'm slightly surprised He didn't ask them which color Bonaparte's White Horse was...
He should have tested people from a different age bracket for comparison , though.
This is the parent's fault, it is the parent's responsibility for the health and safety of their children and that includes them receiving a proper education.
Facts! Starts there and expands to the education system.
When a parent sends their kid to public school for 12 years they should have the safe assumption that the kid is learning most all of these questions.
@@mokane86 Never assume anything. Parents should know what the curriculum is and if their child is progressing by communicating with their teachers. I met every teacher, every year on initiation held a couple days before each semester began. I new how to get in touch with them, how to track progress online throughout the school year and if they were falling behind in any subjects. Stay involved in your kids life, encourage & praise them, and you won't see them on UA-cam unable to answer the simplest of questions.

The human experiment is failing miserably. No wonder why the extraterrestrials skip this planet.

@@-Markus- There is a comedian from Newfoundland who had a TV show called "Talking to Americans" and it was full of this sort of stuff. The university professor from Boston was the one that stunned me. The episodes may be here on UA-cam.
Who fault is it?
It’s the STUDENT’S fault! All of these questions are covered in elementary school and most of the are reinforced in middle school. The kids are just unconscious, by choice.
*Some of these questions weren't even about curriculum learned in school.. it was just common sense and they still got it wrong. This is our future? Scary AF!*

The thing is, I learned all of these things in school from grade school to high school. Now I'm 38 and haven't been in school for 20 years but STILL know these things. Some of these people are fresh out of high school and know NOTHING? HOW???
It is because the education system has gone WOKE and teach more social justice issues. The teachers in some of these schools are just as bad or worse. They don't teach like they use to. Where you remembered the information.
Anti Social Media. Just look at the girl that could name the Kardashians but thought the nazi's fought the germans in the civil war. It is called the dumbing down of America. What is even more funny is the fact that these are the same people who want free college too. Let that sink in.
I think some people just like being ignorant.
Look up a common core math multiplication problem on google. It amazes me that this is what our children have to do. Then they realize when they go to work or college they can't do anything because they don't know how.
That is the whole point. You can't protect what you don't know.
Honestly it's not the School System. Asians are doing perfectly fine in the same schools. It's about the culture and discipline.
What's happened is that "no-one wants anyone to fail" attitude. So what happens is kids 'learn' to guess instead of think, because they are rewarded in just 'tryng'. Like the presenter says "yes" to each wrong answer... All those kids answered with a guess.
People can blame teachers, districts, boards of education, etc., but ultimately the people responsible for the failings of their children are the parents.
I agree, my older kids lived with their father who would let them do anything they wanted. They have all either went to college and failed their first semester and didn't go back, or they decided they knew more than the degree required even though they didn't take any classes for that program. Funny right! My youngest son has made a point. He is 13, autistic, and has several learning disabilities. He said and I quote: "Why do they not want to learn? Do they just think the government is going to keep taking care of them. Mom I'm not going to college. I am not going to be funding the government by paying interest on a student loan to go to an overpriced college. I will continue our farm as an adult. I will live off of what we make as a family after you and dad are taken care of." Too many young people don't care about anyone except themselves. My youngest thinks most of the stuff he sees on social media is the dumbest things he has ever seen, granted that he is only 13. This is why we homeschool. My older children showed me something was wrong. Then covid hit, and we noticed the work my son was doing, he couldn't do it. The school never sent home school work to be done at home. We didn't get anything back until the end of the year. That is when we decided to homeschool and make sure my son at least learns basic math, science, and history. I don't care if I am teaching my special needs son till I am dead, at least I can say that I tried my best.
It hurts. Asia, the issue is you can't "fail" anyone anymore. Everyone is a "winner". Peace, Love!!

It's not really the school. It start with the parents... They spend most of their time on social media, tik tok, etc. It's a sad world we live in.
One young woman couldn’t name three countries, another one couldn’t say how many dimes were in a dollar, and still another said that the Nazis fought in the Civil War.
That video is absolutely frightening and an incredibly sad commentary on the educational system in the U.S.
I'm sorry but this is scary how the destruction of the family and education system has brought us to this point.
i blame demos and the school systems for lowering the bars and the teachers not doing the jobs for these kids... the schools are not hold these kids back in school when they should and they keep lowing the bar so low and this is the prime example that is made from it... the beavis and butthead in real life...
This was Satan's plan ..it crept In slowly the last 25 years
@@nonenone7250 The teachers Can't do their jobs because a Lot of them don't know the answers either. But, they can sure party and have sex with the students; advocate for the destruction of America and list how horrible everyone who think differently are; and even have the nerve to put down our soldiers, parents, and people from rural communities as "the lowest of the low" in intelligence
There are multiple stories online of parents angry with their kids teachers because they failed tests... not because the kids were being dumb, or weren't taught the answers... but because they found the CORRECT answers using methods that the school didn't teach them, and therefore didn't approve of, meaning they got nothing. Meanwhile many of their fellow classmates were receiving partial credit for completely incorrect answers but for using the "approved methodology".

It's a good thing you are bad at history, it was a geography question. The first time I saw this, over the weekend, I immediately asked my 14 yr old the same questions. Lucky for her she got the right. She did make a comment about me putting it on social media if she had gotten it wrong, I told her she wouldn't have had to worry about it because I would have been too embarrassed.
Sad the same thing. As I was laughing.
Same…only with my 12 yr old and she got almost everything right, as she did not know the question on Civil War. Which became a quick 30 min lesson at home.
I love your reaction to this. I wish I was a shocked as Asia 🤣. I have ran into these types of young people. They wanted to talk to me about slavery but doesn't know who fought in the Civil War. Don't get me started on money and math😪. Much prayers and love for you guys ❤️
Can you imagine if they had to count back change, don't honestly believe that we'll ever have to worry about that though.
*but don't know
This is what you get when a whole generation is growing up with the idea that it's more important to know the newest tiktok dance than having any actual knowledge
Here's the thing: while our educational system does SUCK in the United States, the issue is multi-faceted. It's not just the schools that are to blame for our country's general lack of proper education and ability to think critically -- it's the parents, as well. If your child is going to school and then coming home and you aren't engaging with them and asking them questions about what they learned, and are instead allowing them to sit around watching TV and scrolling on their phones, you're part of the reason why they aren't absorbing any of the information they're receiving during the day. That's also how you catch it if they were given some misinformation, or if they were told something by an educator that you disagree with, and you can encourage your child to think critically about it. Parents are not engaged enough in their children's education and are usually distracted and/or zoned out in front of their own electronic devices, so what do we expect? This is the result.
It's not entirely the fault of all of the parents, as many of them are the victims of all of our other failed systems and the stress of trying to manage finances and work and all of the other problems that we've got going on in this country that have left us overwhelmed, burnt out, miserable, depressed, etc. -- leaving a lot of them unable to engage fully in their kids' lives and education. But there are a lot of parents who choose not to engage, choose not to put in the effort of making rules and setting boundaries when it comes to electronic use, choose to sit around on their own devices and set a bad example for their kids, etc. -- and that's a huge part of the problem, from what I can see.
This is why I've been forced to homeschool...my 9 and 11 year old think this video is so funny because they answered all these without having to even think about it
You're doing right by them teaching them yourself.
You are a good mother to home school. Your kids will thank you! Kudos to you.

I’m from Canada, one of those countries that borders the US, and I was able to answer all the questions. We were taught these things about the states, as well as other countries, in elementary school. It’s funny, but also not funny. 😂😢
To be fair, I'm from BC, and when I was in elementary school I did NOT know my 9x tables, but I could name absolutely name every pokemon there was at the time 😅
I would have said 36 too
@@rammsteinrulz16 wait what? In Germany you have to know all tables up to 10x10 from memory without any gaps. I am talking about the third grade where we learned that IIRC. Like age 9 usually.
@Sora Nakumara "time tables"?
I'm also from Canada. while my education in grade school was mediocre (we never learned geography or history until high school) and focussed WAY too much on religion... they still taught us a lot. Math was the primary focus.
High school was great. Our health class stuck to topics like alcoholism, nutrition, and like a day on sexually transmitted diseases (catholic school board wouldn't approve more) But the teachers still went out of their way. My Sociology teacher spent a day talking to us, going above and beyond, about STD's and transmission, and prevention. She thought the 'abstinence" only approach the school had was stupid. She wasn't allowed to talk to us about that...but did it anyways
And our high school religion teachers did break things down to us, making us think...pointing things out like how often was the Bible edited & revised? Who printed it? etc so you could understand that you can't take everything at face value.
In high school we had a more structured schedule too so we had a couple electives each semester, and overall we still had to take certain classes to graduate. ie) You had to take grade 9 & 10 general science + 4 other science classes. I took biology & Advance biology & chemistry & advance chem. But if you could take them scattered throughout your time there or just do them all in senior year. They were flexible as long as you did the work and passed.
They taught us critical thinking skills. And if you were bored in a class, ask for extra work or just take a book out and read so you were quiet and still educating yourself on something.
Do you know that any number Multiplied by 9 the answer adds up to 9.
You just witnessed the difference the "Prussian School Model" and the "Trivium and Quadrivium Education Model".
The Prussian model is more based on rote memorization while the Trivium and Quadrivium is more based on problem solving.
Thank the STARS I was born in the 80's.
Asia, you are spot on. Our public education system has become a complete failure.
Asia’s troubled face is exactly how mine was 😂 What is happening??
I heard about 20 years ago , that like 70 percent of graduates could not tell what time it is on a clock with hands , they could only tell time on a digital clock that actually told them the time !! Exactly ,,, what the hell is our school systems teaching these young people ??¿?
I can forgive them not knowing the exact year of the county's founding, but I cannot forgive the inability to guess how far you'd go in an hour at 60mph or guessing the wrong answer to the question of how old would you be if you were born ten years ago.
You two have really made me smile more in the past few months. :)
Since my introduction to UA-cam in early 2007 I'm appalled these sort of 'Street Smarts: Dumbass Edition' videos hadn't popped into my feed until recently. Then again, 15 years ago the populous wasn't as hopeless as they have been in the past few. Lord help us. Might I recommend you two consider reacting (on your other channel) to the movie called _Idiocracy_ from 2006. We were laughing about it being a comedy/satire at the time but began to realize it's become a documentary.

Schools currently are so concerned about mandatory national and state testing so the districts get funding that in some areas they seem to teach to the test. A teacher can only give the information, the kids need be taught to be responsible for their future and that comes from the parents
Czech girl went for a year to US high school. When getting back home, she had to repeat one year on the czech high school and she described level of US high school as same as 6th grade elementary school level in the Czech republic. So what american kids learn on high school, Czechs learn when being 11 years old.
I grew up in the 70's and 80's. They taught all this stuff. I can't believe these young people have no clue as to the answers of stuff I learned so long ago.
THAT IS OUR FUTURE RIGHT THERE!!!! No wonder so many older people are still in positions of power
Fact #1: The Civil War was fought between the Northern and the Southern states from 1861-1865. The American Civil War was fought between the United States of America and the Confederate States of America, a collection of eleven southern states that left the Union in 1860 and 1861.
France and The British are the same thing!!!!!!!!! Wow Kardashians is where these people are thinking important in their lives. These are not stupid people they have been let down by the inadequate education system. The very sad thing is that they are unaware that life choices have been taken away from them without their knowledge. The system is who should shoulder the shame. I have huge respect for the chap with the mic for never once making them feel stupid.
Amazing, how in the age with the most information available at people's fingertips, it seems to get dumber the younger you go in this country. An indictment on the failures of the public education system the last 30 years. 🤦♂️

This is why we homeschooled our kids… a friend if my daughter who was in public school, couldn’t tell time on her analog clock…and she was a senior in high school.
The problem is that they keep lowering standards to graduate so the teachers can say they did their job. As of 2020, less than half of New York students could read and do math at grade level, so DeBlasio's solution was to further lower the standards for educatoin. I've been living in New York 32 years and I think this is the third or fourth time they have lowered standards since 1990.
Go figure! It's the lefts plan. Have ignorant, uneducated people that won't think for themselves and can be brainwashed to anything the left desires. I'm so glad I realized I shouldn't be a Democrat. I was a Democrat from a far. Wasn't into politics. Then I woke up. This country, hell the world, are heading for really terrible times.
George Carlin warned us....

No Child Left Behind ....
The school system has taken away a teacher's ability to discipline students, they can't assign detention or take away phones in too many districts. The online social media world is their focus because no one's making them pay attention to anything else. Soft parents who refuse to say no to their kids is also a huge issue
In some European countries they are forbidding phones in classes by law.
My favorite answer was the young woman who answered "PEOPLE" when asked who fought in the Civil War
I learned to tell time and count money, read, write, count, spell at home before I went to kindergarten and so did my daughter. They are taught how to count money and to count my 1’s, 5’s, 10’s etc. but they don’t use cash money. Geography as all subjects is taught and mandatory in HS to graduate. Google the state standards for every state. Most parents can’t help with homework.
This is so depressing I can't laugh bc it's serious stuff. I'm considered an elderly person I grew up in the 50's then I joined the Marines in 1961 America is definitely in decline I never thought it could happen but it is.
In your next Life, fight against dumbness.Your Stories is Like

Thank You for your Service Devil Dog! No worries, this has all happened before, but now the tiny fringe of whackos are amplified greatly by the Net and media! When it comes to it I`m sure you`ll agree a toothless dogs` bark doesn`t mean shit.
You fought everyone but your real enemy that sent you to fight everyone. Reminds me of the viral marine a week or two ago.
Great reaction! It’s kind of scary, tbh. Only one I had no idea about was the Kardashians. Keep on rolling, y’all!!🤠🤓
I knew all of them. Though I regret knowing the Kardashian one.
Asia's face has been going from disbelief to horror as the video goes on. I'm sure mine is, too. I caught this before and saw you reacted to it so I had to check in. Great seeing You Two again! This is astonishing and can't be scripted.
The correct answer to who fought in the civil war(s) is that they were between Parliamentarians ("Roundheads") and Royalists ("Cavaliers").
There were three English civil wars between 1642 and 1651.
Exactly what the owners want, people just smart enough to do the shitty work, and just dumb enough to accept the shitty wages. Working as intended.
And voting for shitty politicians
George Carlin is a prophet
If the Schools would go back to teaching the basic subjects like they did when I was in School in the late 60s and 70s (I was class of 1980) instead of all this pride and woke crap and CRT social justice BS, but the owners of the world don't want people who are capable of critical thinking, and see how bad we are getting screwed
When I was in school you even got graded on penmanship. We had to learn to write in cursive.
Class of 81 and I couldn't agree more.
Please, CRT is a graduate college course and is taught to no grammer or high school students anywhere in the U.S.
@@ronaldwallace7459 You are wrong. There is proof on youtube that it is being taught. There is a video of a school in Chicago. Do the research and you will see for yourself.
It started long before you went to school. Read the book: Weapons of Mass Instruction.
The goal was to get obedient factory workers, now the factories no longer exist.
Asia, good on you for actually doing schoolwork while homeschooling. Sadly, I know a lot of kids that just watched YT and played video games for 2 years. Sad.
Our public education system in action these days. As a fourth grader in the sixties we had to recite the Preamble to the Constitution and the Gettysburg Address from memory. Along with all fifty states and their capitols. We had to memorize addition, subtraction, and multiplication tables up to 12 +/-/x 12 in first grade.
How can folks wake up on time and drive to a job and pay bills if they don't know how to count money or what miles per hour is or how seasons and months or time works??? I mean, that's like the absolute bare minimum.
Homeschool your kids folks! Don't assume teachers are doing their jobs!
Wake up on time?...drive to a job?...pay bills?😶....please explain...💩
I mean now days we don't have to count money the cash register tells u what to give back to the customer and such
@@GlaticCrew Not even that. People use credit cards or debit cards so everything is either printed on a receipt or emailed so it is never even looked at.
dude, i'm going to teach my kids at home after school like my mom did with me. when i came home from school, she used to sit with me and you know made me study and then ask me questions about what i studied, took tests to see if I was studying (got whooped too if I didnt lol). but yeah, looking back it was useful. it's like these kids' parents just don't look if their kids are even learning anything.
Be careful. The kids can report you for that. It’s a new day. And it’s not sunny outside.
@@lovemesomeslippers report for what? for making them study?
You don't need to whoop your kids , what you said is nice , you can discipline without violence , it's not a healthy way of parenting
😂😂 Man this comment right here took me back 😢 my mum would never let me watch TV or go out and play or just you know do kids stuff if I didn't study and she quizzed me till she said it's satisfactory so I can have fun now😂 you don't need to be a genius or have a master degree but basic general knowledge is a must, I'll forever be grateful to my mum, specially as the future it's shaping up
I think it’s because nobody gets held back a year anymore. Even If they don’t know the answers just let them go thru to the next year. That would have never happened in my day
Its our public school system where everyone passes, homework is non existent, and emotions rule.
♥ We have to abolish the Department of Education, y'all!
YES!!!
We have to get rid of Democrat mayors who keep lowering standards to graduate. If you keep a population uneducated, it's easy to brainwash them into thinking whatever you believe, such as men can menstruate and get pregnant.
This, and vouchers. Let the parents choose the schools and the shitty ones will go away. The bad teachers also need a clearer and easier path to be fired.
Amen!
@@aaronburdon221 It will be shocking how fast schools drop the wokery and start teaching the fundamentals again if parents had a choice in where they send their kids. I completely agree with ending teacher tenure.
My son just turned 18. When he was in second grade the school system here in North Caroline took cursive handwriting off the curriculum. I taught my son on my own to write in cursive. But not one of the kids in his graduating class maybe 90%of them cant read or write in cursive. When they sign their name I it’s printed. It’s a shame. What are we doing America?
I never understood their logic, make out a check and print your name then see if the bank will cash it.
Cursive is not a hill I want to defend.
Wait, what, is this a real thing?
@@richardpaulhall Some kids do better with cursive. My son’s print was illegible. The school just criticized him. Then I taught him cursive and his handwriting improved. Cursive should be taught but it doesn’t need to be mandatory.
@@johnclapperton5556 Who uses cheques now? I see from your spelling that you are from the US, do you really still use cheques there?
Guys I blame the schooling system, I'm sure those who are home schooled do better. I hope. Love from Finland.
Like we were taught that America was founded in 1776, but that was as high advanced schooling as ELEMENTARY. Sheesh
That's what kids likes these days, 1% learning, 99% social media. You can ask pop culture things to them, and they'll answer with no problem.
"It's kind of disturbing." Yes, agreed.
I like how he also asked the same girl an additional question about the Kardashian sisters she was able to answer. It speaks volumes. I didn't have a clue myself.
Schools focus on academic knowledge and teach students to memorize information, and gives them extremely low chances to learn critical life skills. Schools focus on preparing them for universities, but not for jobs and real life. It doesn't teach them how to manage money, how to negotiate, how to communicate.
To vote, they needs to apply a basic GK and American history and culture questionnaire regardless of age, I think Gen Z may be the dumbest, but this can apply to people from other age group to lesser extent.
Learning starts AT HOME- if there is someone at home to instill the love of learning kids will soak it up. Even if the school is lacking in a subject- with the world of information on our phone- information is everywhere. One must have desire and curiosity- to seek it
Exactly.
Their parents went to the same public schools they do.
"The world of information on our phone." I think that is Part of the Problem. You don't have to think anymore, just google. I couldn't imagine a life without Internet anymore but i feel like it's hurting our skill to learn and remember.
I asked my son what they did in school when he attended in 2020 after school was over. He said mostly we played on our tablets. I asked him how he did his work. He replied and I kid you not "They gave me the answers!" I was shocked. This is why they never send home homework. They also have to share textbooks. The no child left behind program actually hurts kids by promoting them forward instead of letting the repeat the grade over. They run an age restriction for each grade. My youngest son who is autistic and dyslexic, failed kindergarten. He repeated, but he needed to repeat. I was for it. The teacher said, "I didn't have a choice to promote him, he aged out." Back when I was a kid you didn't get promoted until you passed. My brother got retained in kindergarten, and then he got retained in 3rd grade three times.
I had to teach my daughters the multiplication table, geography, history... because our schools don’t-
Schools only focus on indoctrination in wokealogy-
Please teach your children the basics & talk sense into them to counter the insanity going on our schools
I'm from the UK and we definitely teach those subjects. I studied history at A level (age 16-18). We now get a national test at age 7/8 and have to know all our times tables.
@@h.d.5165 not one school, several schools, not only do they not teach those things, theyre teaching our kids to call their teachers by the first name (among other woke insanities) not a big deal right? but I saw an 18 year old girl in court call the judge by his first name, he told her to address him properly, but she did it again, then once more, at that point he stopped her from speaking and reached a quick verdict against her...

It must be common core math. He's not doing them any good by telling them "yes" to their wrong answers.
Unfortunately, he's right. They no longer teach basic math, cursive writing, proper English; true history. Or even how to read a face clock...
Quick summary: My sis/hubby left Cda, he had job in Tennessee/ condition of job was a job for her- she's a teacher. Put her in a middle school... and was told... TOLD... Board policy is there's nothing north of Kentucky. She asked them if one of young girls asks where Justin Bieber is from, then what? She was told " ...around New York"... and " We do not discuss matters that do not concern the future of the children". I don't think, that I can add anything here.
I had a coworker who couldn't read a clock at age 23. She always said, I can't do math. Man, my friends and I were like you CAN do math. Do it, it's easy, we'll teach you. A clock is hardly math, lol. You got this.
When I was taking sex ed class in high school I got marked wrong for answering that the genders were male and female and the correct answer was that gender was however you express yourself or some BS along those lines. This was in a school in Chicago. These schools are not teaching kids correctly. Most of my teachers were activists. My civics class was really just an anti trump class. My history class was just had us doing pro blm work and teaching anti police rhetoric telling us that cops were out to harm us and the schools were having a vote to get rid of the officers we have for our protection. Our teachers told us the country was holding us down because our race and we would always be behind whites. My buddies high school teachers were live streaming the Biden inauguration celebrating. I got invited to a student held event on communist ideology telling us to rise up and fight for liberation. When you look at the younger generations and wonder why they are the way that they are its because of the schools.
All that to keep you in a "slave" mindset. Sorry man, y'all deserve way better.

The Elites are doing this to ALL kids! Don`t care whatever damn `color` anyone `identifies` as, Reading Writing Math Science and History must All be taught to All of our kids!!! It`s SO easy to fix it all - Quit letting the Elite DIVIDE Us, because We the People as ONE would be truly Unstoppable.
OK boomer
That has nothing to do with these kids being ignorant. WE AS A SOCIETY DID NOT WANT TO SPEND THE MONEY ON EDUCATION FOR ALL, STARTED WITH RONALD REAGAN. HE WAS A SELFISH GREEDY REPUBLICAN THAT WANTED TO REDIRECT OUR VALUES TO JUST CONSUMERISM, MATERIALISM, GREED IS GOOD AND THAT IS HOW WE GOT HERE AS A NATION. WE DID THIS TO OURSELVES AS A NATION.
At the end of the day, teachers can’t replace parents.
If parents don’t teach their kids that educating themselves is important, they won’t value learning in the first place.
don't be surprised they can't sign their name in script. Our forefathers wrote beautifully and most never went past third grade.

Books are like Kryptonite to an American.
If your child goes to a school that only teaches to whatever state test they give, that is one way that you end up with huge gaps in very basic knowledge. I love how they answer a geography question with, "I don't know history."
