Really good watch. Well acted. Sensitive and sweet. Those who have expressed dislike may well have never confronted the issues addressed. The movie centered around some life experiences that can be heavy and difficult to deal with, but in a light and lovely way. All the characters very likable which added to the enjoyment. Thanks for posting this.
You watch Long Lost Family and realize how important your biological connections are, even if you had a good childhood. There is I think a spiritual connection imprinted in our genes that connects us to our parents.
Wow, how I hate this movie and I live right here. After noticing the town I switched it off which is what I originally wanted to do but was giving it a chance. So thumbs 👎
This movie artistically and stylishly dealt with emotions we really don't talk about like running from our problems, being alone when we die, not accepting people that don't look like us. It was very subtle how subjects of everyday life came across the screen.
I felt the opposite. 2yrs ago you watched this but here is my comment. LOL. I am always amazed at how careless people are in movies and thought it was the movies, but n America we have been forced to dumb down with or for that fake virtue and crap at the often expense of lives. She is too open in her search and then she hate a meeting coming up with a killer who was caught and Jake acts like a intrusive narcissistic killer. and now she and the other f/a are drinking on their layover with well I will keep watching to see how careless they made these characters. I hope more is well with you.
RIP AnnaRose King, your passing was too soon - thank you for your work, your passion and how you helped advance lung cancer awareness and, likely, healing in others. You are an inspiration. Diagnosed at 32 with stage 4 lung cancer as a non-smoker, passed from Earth at 35, but will live on in many beautiful ways.
Yes, beautifully done. It reminded me of myself when I was in my early forties, living in Philadelphia and traveling a lot. What a time, open to so much living and exploring and engaging all at the same time, yet still that little girl, searching for family connections, bless her heart, glad she found her Aunt/Uncle. Very sweet.
An unexpected surprise. Great movie! Loved the acting, so incredibly natural. You rarely see such acting in movies. The way they talked, their gestures, the credible, sweet awkwardness, the pauses. The story was touching. This movie achieved so much with just a few main ingredients.
Over the past few months, I guess I've watched so much hallmark fluff, it took my brain awhile to connect with a movie that made me think. I stayed with it because I didn't know my dad either. I understand her need to know. Every time I watch one of Popcorn's movies, I comment the same thing. You never disappoint. Life's not always finding exactly what you want. It's more about loving what you what you have. (You might have just awakened some brain cells. Thank you)
Just a great little movie about finding oneself. Annarose King died too young. She was a beautiful person inside and out, andt she lived more in her short 35 years than most people do in lifetimes. She left us this great little treasure as a tribute to the humanity and sence of wonder in all of us. Thank you Anna.
A quiet film where the background voices are felt. It's a gem of a movie. Great work, Anna Rose King, you portray the aching void that drives so much of our created reality.. What happened? Where did they go? Where did I go? Sometimes a rabbit hole can yield a treasure trove. Thank you "Good Enough" crew and cast, you made a fine film.
Written, directed and performed by Annarose KIng?! Wow, she is really talented. If this film were a painting, King would be Joan Miro, not in subject but in style - the utter simplicity of her of work could have fooled anyone to just bypass it, not knowing that behind that seeming simplicity lies a gem. Impressive work.
She says you're supposed to find out who you are in your 20s! Well I must be a late bloomer cause I didn't figure out who I was till I was in my late 40s! Watching this also made me realize I was actually lucky! Because just a few years before my dad died he moved in with me & I got a chance to get to really know him! He & my mom divorced when I was a baby & lived half way across the US from each other so I never saw him much or often growing up! You see I got Multiple Myeloma bone cancer! He & mom put their differences aside & both came to take care of me for over 2yrs while I was going through treatment! Taking me to radiation & chemo treatments (yr & 1/2), paying for my many meds till I could get Medicaid, then coming to the hospital everyday when I went through bone marrow transplant & stem cell replacements which took months! Funny thing was after all that & us getting so close he died of the very same cancer he had nursed me back to reasonable health from! It screwed me up not being healthy enough to return the favor! Wow this must have affected me way more than I thought or I wouldn't be rambling on about it! Rant over THX for letting me vent! PEACE OUT!
You had the chance to actually know your folks, they showed you their love in time of need, now you know all that and makes a whole difference in your make up as a human beig. Thanks for sharing your story. It is a live story. Giod day pal!
Thank you for your story. I felt like this movie was a dud and wanted to read comments to see if anything for me changed. Your comment made the movie worth watching. Thank you. I lost my Mama to cancer 20 months ago. I feel pretty broken without her (and a father who's still alive and doesn't care for my sister or me). Cancer is a bitch. I'm glad you beat it.

This is unusually deep and complex while being engaging and easy to identify with. Ms. King was one of the better directors of this century, and she will be missed.
This is my godparents niece. She wrote and starred in the movie. She has stage 4 cancer and is dyeing as we speak, so I’m glad that her story is being told

The dialogue is so engaging, because it is so simple and authentic, that one can relate to it. This is a really great achievement of a movie with real people and situations, not prefetly polished, very realistic!

This movie made me think of a time when all I wanted to do was hand out with my family if I knew more of them. But you soon realize it may not be such a good thing. When you are little that is what your heart looks for but as you mature, you realize yearning begins to fade with time.
Somehow she wanted him back, and he wanted that too. That's why they couldn't just let go and leave each other behind (you can tell their relationship wasn't ended ugly) . It goes both ways. I guess they never wanted to break up, it's just a "relationship" was too much for them at the time. When time passed by, they matured and communicated more, they were kinda together again (I know it was an open ending).

In a funny way she approaches the strangers rather clumsy. I would have thrown out Jack immediately. What a sweettalker and a jackass. He always had excuses and she stupidly/naive believed him. Glad she finally finds her uncle who surprisingly turned out to be a sweet auntie.

It's slow moving but I like the acting. We need more movies like this. 😊
In a funny way she approaches the strangers rather clumsy.
I would have thrown out Jack immediately. What a sweettalker and a jackass. He always had excuses and she stupidly/naive believed him. Glad she finally finds her uncle who surprisingly turned out to be a sweet auntie.
Good movie. Good interactions with friends and mom, good plot. AnnaRose King was very believable in the role and likeable. A good movie for New Year's Eve 2020! Thanks for posting.
I hope you really enjoyed it because the next year was a terrible one.
Thank you, Popcorn! 👍
Well that was real different....I may have wanted more out of that ending but it was for my own good it ended the way it did. Thank you 10/90's.

Very good script. Funny and natural. Better dialogue than some big budget movies! ( I'm looking at you George Lucas...)
loved the uncle! wasn't the ending i thought but oh so much better than i expected... i wish i had that uncle\aunt! so under estimated and not apart of this world from being misunderstood i can totally relate! i stay in out of the world as well! easier that way!!
Looks like a good copy and movie. On my list to watch popcorn flix..🍿 📺 📝😍

If climbing a mountain were easy, people would do it, and it would be called “taking a walk.” Some people would even prefer it.
