Tennessee, Vandy, and Oklahoma beat Bama, Bama beat Georgia, Georgia beat Texas, Texas beat Michigan, and Michigan beat Ohio st... so do this mean that Vanderbilt and Oklahoma would beat Ohio st this season?.. of course not. Tenn possibly could on a neutral field. My point is that ANYTHING can and does happen in one game sometimes.
as a bucks fan we just told everyone that the SEC is a bunch of wussys that cant stand 20 degree weather and then cry about it and make every type of excuse known to man kind. GO BUCKS btw love you matt
What is says, SEC fans, is that in the OSU/UM game, records don't matter. It's always been that way. "Y'all" need to come to grips with the incoming parity and the manner in which "business" has been conducted with recruiting and retaining players has changed. Forever. You can take some solace in the lowest form of communication and sit around and circle jerk each other about the good old days. No, the SEC will not be in The Show this year. Arrogance is not a good look, welcome to Ohio in December, it's called FOOTBALL.
10 points is not a blowout, Indiana just started to late, never thought they would win but they earned the right to be there. If you want to talk ranked win/lose records, look at the final top 25 ranked to figure out the win/lose records.
The score was 27-3 with 4 minutes left. Indiana scores 2 garbage time touchdowns against Notre Dames backups. I’m sorry but if you watched that game and didn’t think it as a blowout, you don’t know ball.
Ohio State exposed the SEC/ESPN narrative being spun that Indiana getting destroyed in the playoffs was a reflection of the Big Ten being overrated. You can’t use a fourth place team getting crushed against the B1G and let the SEC slide for 3 place Tennessee getting destroyed
@@christiankofi9996 OK, Let's go further. For forty years, B1G teams had to play bowl games on the road in the South and lost a lot of them. You thought, we are just better than those yankees. Now, we see that southern teams going north for bowl games aren't very competitive. So, deal with it. You aren't so special after all.
I think the issue most people aren’t paying attention to is that the OSU team we saw play on Saturday literally has been absent all year, it was the elite team we expected them to be at the beginning. Michigan unfortunately woke up that team and TN was first on the chopping block. Amongst all the good to potentially great teams we’ve seen all year, there have been no elite teams. TN faced off against the first elite team of the 2024 season, and if they stay focused will destroy everyone in their path. If that team had been there from the get go, TN wouldn’t have been playing them round 1. This is coming from an TN fan.
He disrespected Penn State in the last video. Penn State gave the #1 team a very good game a few weeks ago. I wouldn’t be shocked if Penn State beat them in a rematch.
I mean, Vanderbilt beat bama and auburn, bro. If you don't acknowledge that The Ohio St would beat the shit out of Alabama this season, you don't know football .
I’m sorry but this whole “most deserving” vs “best” team debate is just SEC cope. There’s no such thing as a difference between best and most deserving. Literally think about what that means. There’s a team, they lost more games, lost games they shouldn’t have etc. yet they’re “better” and deserve to be in? According to whom and what? Eye test? Hype? SOS? If you win 11+ games in a p4 conference you are one of the best 12
Imagine these silly arguments in pro or HS football playoffs. You play your schedule, regardless how tough or easy it is. You get your wins, and whether if you’re in the playoffs or not will be determined by your performance in the season. I couldn’t care less who would’ve given Ohio State or Penn st a better game. Win your games and you the rest falls into place. It’s that simple.
@@alexpergjoni4880 two touchdowns against starters. vs tennessee who played against ohio state’s third string quarterback in nearly half the 4th quarter. lincoln kienholtz, yes lincoln kienholtz was playing during the game. @@alexpergjoni4880 so did ohio state and penn state don’t act like those games weren’t any worse of blow outs. ohio state was completely on their backups for most of the fourth quarter and penn state basically stopped trying. you can’t act like after this weekend any sec team deserved a playoff spot over any of the other teams. keep in mind tennessee lost nearly just as bad as smu and not nearly as bad as indiana. even without those garbage time points it’s still worse (because tennessee got some too)
@ Indiana deserved the spot but they got embarrassed, but Indiana run defense is elite tho, besides that 98 yard TD they held notre dame to kind of low rushing numbers
As an OSU fan I think what he says is very valid. We typically have 2 teams propping up the conference. We need another 2 years or so to see what happens with USC and Washington to see if they can get to the level we want. I think we can all pretty much say we will be top heavy with 6!teams. PSU USC UM OSU and Washington Oregon. The rest of the league will struggle to get to the elite level. I think our biggest complaint with the SEC fans is they won’t admit the same. They are propped up by UGA and Bama. The rest of the league is struggling to get to the elite level as well. They definitely have more teams in the middle tier than we do. Our mid level teams have not held up their end in that regard.
I said they need 2 years in the conference for us to decide if they can get to where they need to be to be considered elite. If not then we will only have 4 elite teams in the conference. I don’t see any of the other 12 teams getting to elite status. The one sleeper team is Maryland in my opinion. They could easily become the Oregon of the east coast with the under armor guy as a backer. The league should do everything they can to get them going like Oregon. Have two divisions. Nike and under armor!! lol
Alabama lost to Oklahoma and Vanderbilt both would have been 5 and 6 without their wins over Alabama smu and Indiana didn't wet their bed against teams were below a winning record
No they didn’t 😂😂 10-0 then 14-10 then they are tied at half. UGA then scored a TD in each of th next quarters. Great game. No one was exposed bc if that was true, y’all woulda been said OSU would clobber them, but y’all didn’t and no one in the SEC thought that game would go how it did. Embarrassing
@@Z_Rodriguez13 that’s laughable considering sec has won 16 of the last 21 nattys. Georgia beat Michigan like a crash dummy and handed osu an L in the semis in just the last two years 😂
The problem is losses matter too. Vandy, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Don't be a SEC homer. Vandy and Oklahoma.... Ole Miss.... Kentucky and Florida. Come on man... The SEC is top heavy. For years the SEC had the best teams and may still be at the top, but Y'all can't keep riding the strength of schedule and media crap.
Just because Alabama sucked this year, it doesn't mean that the SEC was bad. Alabama pooped the bed this season. All they had to do was beat a mid MobilHoma to get in the playoffs, and they lost by 3 touchdowns and scored a total of 3 points. 3 points!
All of these conference narratives are moronic. Ohio state, THE TEAM, has way more talent than Tennessee, and Tennessee has a freshman qb. Not to mention, it was a road game. Conferences don’t play football games, teams do.
As an OSU fan I think this was more of a wake up call and less than OSU exposing the SEC. What could be an exposing of the SEC is if we look up and the national title is Oregon/OSU vs PSU. That would be wild.
Now that southern teams have to come up north and play in sub-freezing temperatures (Welcome to REAL WINTER FOOTBALL), you will start to see more of them getting knocked out of future playoffs. If you’re not used to it, playing in extreme weather WILL affect you… Playing in extreme cold (sub -freezing) OR extreme heat (playing football in 85-95 degree temperatures has a whole list of its own challenges) is hard to do if you’re not used to it. Don’t forget. There are probably more than a few players on these southern teams that have NEVER played a single football game in their lives in temperatures below 30 degrees. That matters. Welcome to the future of playoff college football. Warm weather teams had better learn how to deal with it.
SeC fans pull for their conference, even a bitter rival. It's about the conference. They created that narrative years ago. 1st game Ohio St played on Espn all year

The Bucks didn't expose anything. What they did, was used the pass to set up the run instead of vice versa. If they continue to do that they will win the national championship.
Iowa got into the Big 10 Championship last year because that was the final year the Big 10 did that stupid East vs West crap. Now it is as it should be… the top 2 teams play each other in the Big 10 no matter what part of the country they are from. 21’, 22’, & 23’ would have all had Ohio State and Michigan rematches.
So let me get this straight, so a SEC team every year should get in with 3 loses? I’m not for or against it, but let’s make it known that Sec teams can lose 3 games and everyone else gets 1 L unless you’re Ohio State or a similar level program
In the game of football ANY team can win or lose. Maybe Tennessee was a long shot, but they beat many ranked teams (at the time), while some teams in the playoff rarely played any. Losing to OSU doesn't mean they sucked all year, but Saturday night they were lost in the woods without a flashlight.
@DonovanJohnson-m9e Since I am a Vol fan, that is a simple answer. You're right, seems like Texas could have beat Georgia at least once. Having to pull for them or Georgia from here on out doesn't make up for the Vols losing, but except for 1998 I'm used to it. Nico needs more development and our NIL needs deeper pockets.
ohio state playing against tennessee should have never been a thing. ohio state is CLEARLY better against tennessee, we just didnt know if that ohio state team would show up. and when ohio state does good, everyone is pleasantly surprised. sure, blah blah blah, but tennessee did deserve that spot. they would beat smu and indiana and prolly clemson. ohio state just decided to be what everyone expects. now we have to see if they can do it again.
If Ohio State did not get beat by Michigan they do not play the same game against Tennessee. The best thing all year that Ohio State had happen was get humiliated by Michigan. It woke the coaching staff up to use the players that are freaks. OSU is a really good team and as a Texas fan i hope we see them in the next round. We open our seasons against each other 1st game of the year. A rematch would be bad ass to start the year either way
MattBeWrongAgain!!! You will never see Maddie showing you this comment because he is wrong AGAIN!!! The top 2 teams in the NIL payouts is Oregon & Texas not "The Buckeyes!"
I don’t even understand this conversation. The team that spent 20 mil in the offseason, beat a team with a freshmen qb and is third in the conference. They didn’t expose anything
Everyone wants to talk about the spending, no one wants to the talk about the draft statistics, legendary alumni coaching tree, and elite player development that’s gone on in Columbus especially since the urban Meyer era. If money is all it took, Texas a&m shouldn’t be averaging 6.5 wins since that number 1 class they bought.
@Luigi22Greenno freshman should be getting that amount right out of high school unless you have enough money to get all the weapons needed to make it viable.
@ I’m just saying if your getting mad cause a team spent 20 mil on a team (which several other teams did) and your paying your QB 8 million alone than you really can’t complain that the other team is spending money 💀

Matt, you realize Iowa and lower tier teams only get into the championship because the East is stacked and knock each other out. The west is weaker..much like the SEC this year (weak). Tennessee = Nebraska …Go Bucks 🌰
I'm a Kentucky fan, so I got the joy of watching SEC conference play this year. I think the problem with Tennessee was actually a problem with the entire SEC, particularly the scheduling. A small number of teams (most of them in the lower tiers of the conference) had to play 3-4 playoff contenders, while the playoff contenders only had to play 1-2 other playoff contenders. I think this was basically to ensure the SEC would get the most teams it could in the playoff since a team can lose 1-2 games and still get in, but I think it left to some teams being overhyped. Texas played the two worst SEC teams and didn't even beat a ranked team (judging by the end-of-season rankings), but nobody is doubting them now for some reason. The SEC playoff team people were doubting was Georgia because they had to play Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas, and Tennessee (3 of those on the road), and didn't have their best game against some of those teams. I actually thought that made them the best playoff contender since they had already been through some of the toughest games in college football, but people were talking about pushing them out of the playoff if they lost to Texas. Meanwhile, if you look at the two worst teams in the SEC (Kentucky and Mississippi State), they combined to play Georgia (twice), Texas (twice), Ole Miss (twice), and Tennessee (twice). At a certain point, I wonder if we should even be surprised that they were so bad by the end of the season. They got the experiences of playing all the top tier teams, but they lacked the talent to keep up with them. I think if the SEC wants more legitimate playoff teams, they should match more good teams against each other in the season to prepare them for the playoffs. However, apparently that isn't going to happen any time soon because the SEC schedule is the exact same for next year, but with the home and away games reversed.
MattyBeStuffedUp as a Buckeye fan, no we didn’t expose the SEC cuz Ohio State has already proven to be one of the only B1G teams that can consistently go toe to toe with SEC's best. Don't believe me? 2014 CFP nuff said.
Bama got demolished by a very bad sooners team, handily beat by a bad vandy team, and beat by a Tennessee team that didn’t even belong on the same field as Ohio state. If bama fans think they wanted in the playoff they’re more delusional than anyone thinks. South Carolina on the other hand has been playing decent football toward the end of the year. They are the only team that has a reason to feel some kind of way, and their fans are the quietest.
NIL money: Ohio St. $20.3 mil TN. $11.6 mil 5 star players: Ohio St. 20 TN 7 The difference is the talent level.TN is going to have to start spending money.

Thank God SMU and Indiana got in. If the 3rd best SEC team was that pathetic, just IMAGINE how badly Bama, South Carolina, and Ole Miss would've gotten humiliated
Buddy Ohio state is better than notre dame and penn state South Carolina would beat both those teams smu and Indiana got blown out would you rather get blown out by Ohio state or penn state and notre dame
@MTG-153 There was literally no part of this run on sentence that worked
Anything can happen in one game. Bama absolutely manhandled Ohio st for the national championship 3 yrs ago, but Ohio St wasn't bad. If they played 10 times that season, Ohio st may have even won 1 to 3 times. That gm was on a neutral site too. This gm was at Ohio st. Anything can happen in one game.
Here is someone who knows nothing about college football.

No one talks about Texas having as many top 25 wins as Indiana
Two words: eye test
@ not objective
Tons of people have mentioned that. Even Matt in several of his videos has mentioned it
That rule doesn’t apply to SEC teams.
@@kingbronco6398 Texas has the guys to compete Indiana doesn’t
What is says, SEC fans, is that in the OSU/UM game, records don't matter. It's always been that way. "Y'all" need to come to grips with the incoming parity and the manner in which "business" has been conducted with recruiting and retaining players has changed. Forever. You can take some solace in the lowest form of communication and sit around and circle jerk each other about the good old days. No, the SEC will not be in The Show this year. Arrogance is not a good look, welcome to Ohio in December, it's called FOOTBALL.
Back to back years with SEC teams losing to the B10 in the playoffs. SEC isn’t what it used to be, the B10 is better.
The SEC is soft. Weven been telling y'all that for a for weeks now. If OSU plays like that they're unstoppable.
Martholomew I wrote the letters to the committee about how Bama should’ve gotten in, can I leave the basement now
It wasn't just Ohio State exposing the SEC/Tenn, what's up with 3 loss Clemson making it real with SEC/Texas?
Strange that it wasn't mentioned Texas had as many quality of wins as Indiana and SMU
Ohio state and Oregon would beat any team in the SEC this year. The true national championship will be held in the quarter finals.
Just wait till the natty is UGA vs Texas
We shall see. If my Buckeyes get by Oregon they will likely get 2 more SEC games. This year.
You say that but last time either of them teams played Georgia , they both lost . Plus Texas now .

When Michigan beats Alabama, you still going to say Indiana didn't deserve to be in? Even though they beat Michigan?
Tennessee is no better or worse than LSU, Bama, or Ole Miss. So, yes. SEC exposed.
that dont make any sense

Now, we see that southern teams going north for bowl games aren't very competitive. So, deal with it. You aren't so special after all.
Alabama and Ole Miss would be favorites over Tennessee if they played today
@NikolaiG8 You can throw a blanket over the four of them. Slightly different approaches to the game, but similar deficiencies that are easily exposed.
No they would not. Tennessee beat Alabama who recently got destroyed by Oklahoma. Ole Piss lost their rb and are now in the tank. SON
I’ve been sick for the past week too, Matt be Awesome asf.
Get well soon!
I mean, Vanderbilt beat bama and auburn, bro. If you don't acknowledge that The Ohio St would beat the shit out of Alabama this season, you don't know football .
Only Georgia and Texas would have stood a chance of winning that game in Columbus
If you’re crying about not getting the last spot in. Play better. Simple.
That's what I'm saying. They just need to watch and think about next year lmao 🤣
Congrats on 335K
That being said, SECPN has been exposed and are reconsidering their investment.
I hope MattBeWellSoon, Merry Christmas Eve! 🎄
It's only an issue because there's a selection committee. That's what ignites all the arguing and bullshit
Like when Bama got blown out by Clemson
indiana had the closest game but people still won’t accept it
They didn’t tho, they lost 27-3, two touchdowns against 35th strings with 1:30 left doesn’t count, Clemson actually could’ve won
@@alexpergjoni4880 two touchdowns against starters. vs tennessee who played against ohio state’s third string quarterback in nearly half the 4th quarter. lincoln kienholtz, yes lincoln kienholtz was playing during the game. SEC fans can’t accept the fact that one of their best three teams who beat other sec teams was embarressed by the third best big ten team. indiana ended up having the closest game whether you like it or not
@ wasn’t starters only some, and notre dame let off the gas, it was complete domination
Illinois is also pretty good and look out for Nebraska. They are coming on hard if Dylan Raiola really develops.
How can you include USC and Washington if they end the season in the bottom half
Nike and under armor!! lol
Ain't no way the guy who cheers for the conference of Alabama and Georgia says the Big 10 only has 2 good teams every year...
Alabama lost to Oklahoma and Vanderbilt both would have been 5 and 6 without their wins over Alabama smu and Indiana didn't wet their bed against teams were below a winning record
No just tennessee. Georgia exposed tennessee as well.
No they didn’t 😂😂 10-0 then 14-10 then they are tied at half. UGA then scored a TD in each of th next quarters. Great game. They should have gotten in… despite 3 losses (2 of them is questionable as fuck) but SMU didnt EVEN put up a fight bro lets be real
bama aint bad just was bad coached
Just because Alabama sucked this year, it doesn't mean that the SEC was bad. Alabama pooped the bed this season. All they had to do was beat a mid MobilHoma to get in the playoffs, and they lost by 3 touchdowns and scored a total of 3 points. 3 points!
The SEC doesn't suck I think people are tired of SEC fans saying all teams like Alabama Tennessee Etc are better than OSU Oregon Notre Dame
Doesn't Alabama have all new coaches unlike the rest of the sec
All of these conference narratives are moronic. Ohio state, THE TEAM, has way more talent than Tennessee, and Tennessee has a freshman qb. Not to mention, it was a road game. Conferences don’t play football games, teams do.
Maybe TN shouldn’t have had a Diddy party with the tiger balm before the game. What a soft team 🤡
neVer seen so many queer mf respond to a football post, calm down man, or woman.
None of the teams that got left out was going to win the Natty anyway.
Theirs 3 or 4 teams each year, good enough to win it, and they're in the mix .
Exactly, and that's every year,
As an OSU fan I think this was more of a wake up call and less than OSU exposing the SEC. What could be an exposing of the SEC is if we look up and the national title is Oregon/OSU vs PSU. That would be wild.
It's gonna happen Osu vs ND/PENN
Wild? It’s probably the most likely pairing for the title.
Yeah I don’t have a lot of hope for Georgia with a back up Quarterback. But also wouldn’t be surprised if they won out.
Now that southern teams have to come up north and play in sub-freezing temperatures (Welcome to REAL WINTER FOOTBALL), you will start to see more of them getting knocked out of future playoffs.
If you’re not used to it, playing in extreme weather WILL affect you…
Playing in extreme cold (sub -freezing) OR extreme heat (playing football in 85-95 degree temperatures has a whole list of its own challenges) is hard to do if you’re not used to it.
Don’t forget. There are probably more than a few players on these southern teams that have NEVER played a single football game in their lives in temperatures below 30 degrees. That matters.
Welcome to the future of playoff college football. Warm weather teams had better learn how to deal with it.
Boise state and the seeding messed up the bracket. Smu and indiana were worthy.
Smu idk about indiana
Indiana would beat SMU.

In the game of football ANY team can win or lose. Maybe Tennessee was a long shot, but they beat many ranked teams (at the time), while some teams in the playoff rarely played any. Losing to OSU doesn't mean they sucked all year, but Saturday night they were lost in the woods without a flashlight.
good point. My question is would you take Tennessee or Texas that beat nobody?
@DonovanJohnson-m9e Since I am a Vol fan, that is a simple answer. You're right, seems like Texas could have beat Georgia at least once. Having to pull for them or Georgia from here on out doesn't make up for the Vols losing, but except for 1998 I'm used to it. Nico needs more development and our NIL needs deeper pockets.
great job on 355k Matt!! hope u feel better bro!
ohio state playing against tennessee should have never been a thing. ohio state is CLEARLY better against tennessee, we just didnt know if that ohio state team would show up. and when ohio state does good, everyone is pleasantly surprised. sure, blah blah blah, but tennessee did deserve that spot. they would beat smu and indiana and prolly clemson. ohio state just decided to be what everyone expects. now we have to see if they can do it again.
Or maybe OSU isn’t that good and Tennessee is just really shitty.

It's all coming down to who can spend the most.
They paid that Freshman 8 million dollars to do that 😹
@Luigi22Greenno freshman should be getting that amount right out of high school unless you have enough money to get all the weapons needed to make it viable.

Tennessee is just one team we will see if Ohio state get past Oregon then we can decide
MattyBeStuffedUp as a Buckeye fan, no we didn’t expose the SEC cuz Ohio State has already proven to be one of the only B1G teams that can consistently go toe to toe with SEC's best. Don't believe me? 2014 CFP nuff said.
Maybe booger nose.
