It's can be difficult to get started. You want to do a kit justice but sometimes you feel you need more experience. I'm not happy with mine now, I think I could do a better job but at the time I did the best I could. It's a learning process so I tend to think "just build it" and I'll learn something now and I can always do another one later.
You can view the instructions which contain their recommended colours on scalemates (www.scalemates.com). Lookup Kotare Spitfire. I almost exclusively use Tamiya XF paints and I followed their recommendations. However I find that colours tend to vary their shades as you apply washes and even clear coats.
Excellent shading and weathering, ultra realistic!
Thank you so much 😀
Really great job! The Kotare model is a thing of beauty. Very accurate and fantastically engineered. No better Spitfire model out there.
I agree, I look forward to their future releases.
What a great job well done I’m about to start the Brian Lane version myself so enjoyed your build. Well done
Thank you. It's a very nice kit, good luck with your build.
I've yet to 'build' the courage to start mine ... and I have already ordered the Alan Deere's kitset from them!
