Go to strms.net/startrek_thetonyexpress to download Star Trek: Fleet Command This is the "pilot episode" of a new series I'm calling Hyrule History (or something like that) I hope you enjoy! What would you like to see broken down like this in the next episode?
the entire time i played through Wind waker, i mentally referred to both bokoblins and moblins as moblins. the wind waker ones remind me of bulls, and the botw/totk ones remind me of a cow. i don’t really like the look of them wearing the hat-like horns in Totk, but i understand that it’s necessary for us to have moblin horns. Edit: i never noticed the pants colors or the party hat-like horns on the WW ones, wow! one more edit: in WW, there’s a moblin that Maggie, one of the hylian girls who was kidnapped from Windfall Island, falls in love with during her captivity in the Forsaken Fortress. He gave her a lot of skull necklaces that her dad sold to make money and get them out of poverty. The moblin, named Moe, wrote her a letter in response to her letter and says he likes her so much he wants to eat her. she takes this as a marriage proposal and plans to leave Windfall to go back to the Forsaken Fortress, but she decides that she can’t leave her dad.
I like how you kept calling the botw moblins a mix of dog and pig and I'm like... aardvarks. They look a lot like aardvarks lol. I'd be surprised if those lil critrers didnt influence their design even a little. (granted, aardvarks do look like a messed up dog/pig hybrid LOL)
Thanks guys! Yeah some of the pngs were so tiny, i just figured it was bc the games they came from are so old, but anything i can do to make clearer images for future videos would be a gigantic improvement
@@TheZeldaEnthusiast I have some software I wrote to drag and drop, and resize pixel art for our community manager that I'd be happy to share, but you can basically just rescale the image up in paint or Photoshop, save it, and then drop it into the video software that way
You mentioned that the Legend of Zelda is the only game in the series where you can talk with friendly moblins. There's also the one who gives you the boomerang and Link's Awakening. Not trying to be that guy, just adding to the conversation.
@@michaelmann7816 That was my first thought but I looked it up and it looks like it was a moblin who gave Link the boomerang. Edit: although a lot of websites mark him as a moblin, it looks like the original official Nintendo player's guide for Link's Awakening confirms that the individual who gives link the boomerang is Goriya. I was too lazy to track down the PDF originally, but I'd say that's about as official as it gets. Good call.
Correction! Link’s awakening takes place in the real world of TLOZ buuuut SPOILER ALERT the island and all its inhabitants are only brought to reality by the sleeping Wind fish. So they are very much real in the way they can actually interact with the real world and they actually “exist” but they only exist as long as the wind fish is asleep
I just realized that, despite the spelling being a mistake, the could easily explain it away in universe by saying that molblins and moblins are two different creatures. The spelling change was made in ALttP, as was their appearance changing from dogs to pigs. Also, since bokoblins look more like molblins, maybe they are an evolved molblin?
They're closer to bokoblins and will be mentioned in that video. I plan to do a series on a bunch of the recurring loz enemies. Like likes are probably next
Yeah I've learned how to do that since posting this video after some similar comments, so the next video in this series wont have that problem. I thought it would be a huge photoshop project, but it's pretty easy
I would need to check BoTW again, but if I'm not mistaken, the moblins in ToTK also got an improvement to their move where they swing their spear in a big sweep in front of them - they seem to repeat this move more times before giving up and trying something else if they haven't hit you yet.
Yeah, not sure either. I would think they do the sweeping spear swing the same in both games, but it's entirely possible that they changed things up a bit
Wow i had that melody in my head and cliced on this vid what a coincedence Edit i know you didnt say that there is one couler in ww there is brown and blue
Thanks so much! Since my videos usually stick to only botw and totk I figured this idea would be a good way to expand to the rest of the franchise a bit. I think i wanna do like likes next. Can make so many of these
Ooh, I like that. I may change the name of the series to that, or Hyrulean Geographic, or something similar. This was the first entry of a new series of videos diving into the evolution of classic enemies and possibly locations

01:42 yeah, the 3d moblins are significantly more significant, right.
The Moblins are one of my favorite enemies. The Wind Waker was my first Zelda and they were so goofy but intimidating.
Those tiny, disproportionate legs on the ww moblins 💀
While in general this was a really good video, the upscaling used in the minish cap video really threw me off, it looks strange
cannot believe this video did not cover the most crucial entry in the legend of zelda franchise: the nintendo-land minigame.
Lol I stuck to mainline game entries, but can potentially expand more in a future video that covers other stuff in the franchise

Do more enemy evolutions!
Totally. Had a lot of fun making this one. Like likes will likely be next, then probably octoroks, then who knows...
@@TheZeldaEnthusiast can't wait to watch it 🤗
Awesome
Why do the skyward sword ones have nip rings lol
Your guess is as good as mine lol
They’re significantly more significant
The significantest enemies
14:53 Moblins was planned for Twilight Princess(as proven by it reveal trailer) and some of got a replacement in the form of Bokoblin
I like how you kept calling the botw moblins a mix of dog and pig and I'm like... aardvarks. They look a lot like aardvarks lol. I'd be surprised if those lil critrers didnt influence their design even a little.

Hahaha now i wish i would have thought of that to throw aardvarks in there. Thanks!
they remind me of cows for some reason
I love this video. It would be interesting to see this done with other Zelda enemies like maybe the octoroks?
Octorocks are definitely on my list. Another staple enemy. Thanks!
I love the moblins in botw/totk. Theyre so goofy and cute
Yunobo's fight in ToTK looks very much inspired by the chief moblin fight from Link's Awakening!
That's true, it is reminiscent. Wish i would have thought to throw that extra sentence into the script. Thanks!
I have been informed about the Moblin
Strongly recommend upscaling the pixelart with a linear/nearest neighbor scaling. It makes the pixelart almost unrecognizable otherwise!
Definitely. Appropriate interpolation is key to fidelity.

Ooh nah, good catch. I missed that. Thanks for the info!
Wasn't that a Goriya?

Mob on fellow Blins!
“Porcine” like “pour-sign” or “pour-seen.” It’s a soft C. 👍 Good video.
Good to know, thanks!
I always get so happy when the friendly moblin is brought up, I wish we'd get more stuff like that it'd be cool

Molblins I don't think was a mistake as much as a change in english spelling, but having that extra L is apparently closer to the Japanese word.
I love moblins.
I never realized the jiggle physics for the Moblins in Skyward Sword until now.
When that Star Trek ad came up I thought it was the next Zelda game on the list lol
'They're significantly more significant' 😅
Kinda sad you didn't at least mention Bulblins, I love those guys.
They're closer to bokoblins and will be mentioned in that video. I plan to do a series on a bunch of the recurring loz enemies. Like likes are probably next

No they do this is botw too
YEESSSS TONY EXPRESS TIME
Factual incorrectness. There is also a friendly moblin in Link's awakening. You get to trade with it
why did you record footage of the minish cap with such a disgusting filter?
Pasties! 😂
In wind waker doesn't a girl have a crush on a mobline? And then he writes her a letter about wanting to taste her?
Wow i had that melody in my head and cliced on this vid what a coincedence

@@TheZeldaEnthusiast That's the reason I jokingly used this name… it seemed fitting. X3 Thank you for the feedback! :3
