Great sailing in the Aegean Peter, in the main no tide and only wind driven currents so many nice flat sails like this. The bimini is on its third year, a bit of a rough and ready DIY job but it does the trick :)

      Hi Oceanrival,
I totally agree- the Aegean is a beautiful area to sail. 1990, I sailed there together with a number of friends. We had charted a boat and started from Kalamaki Marina, next a stopover on Kea, from there to Serifos,
then Paros. Had some problems there to find a restaurant because of strike. From Paros to Sifnos, where we anchored in Ormos Vathi. The we started the return leg: Headed for Peloponnes- first stop in Monemvassia (the hill with the remains of the old town looked like a hat from the distance). We had a bit of wind in the harbour. From Monemvassia, our next stop was he harbour of Leonidion, where we managed to take a shower, buy a few provisions and got fresh water.
Next stops Hermione, Hydra, then Aegina. From there, we returned to Athens.
Our trip to Norway, we made in our own Contessa 32 from the Elbe River, where she stayed during the winter, via Shetland Islands, Alesund, Geiranger, southwards using the inland waterways, then Skaw and finally to the summer berth in Kappeln/Schlei on the Baltic. It took us 6 weeks alltogether.
      Happy sailing in 2017!
      Peter
