ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
The "Devil Dance" is an attempt to respond to the common belief that certain ailments are caused by unseen hands and that they should be chased away for the patient to get cured. The Channa Upuli dance troupe is a renowned Sri Lankan dance group known for their performances of traditional Sri Lankan dances. Channa Wijewardena and Upuli Panibharatha, the founders of the troupe, are accomplished dancers and choreographers who have played a significant role in preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Sri Lanka through their dance performances. The dance troupe performed this during a cultural event held in Stockholm, Sweden.
