When you question why Baji didn't tell Mikey about Kisaki the answer is Baji did protest about Kisaki joining Toman, it got him nowhere instead Mikey put him on 'house arrest' because he start internal conflict. That's why he goes to Valhalla to take care of Kisaki himself because Mikey didn't listen to him (All of that implied on the episode where Baji punched Takemichi on the meeting)
He also didn't just want to kill kisaki because he taking pah spot in toman. It's how he was doing it. He was kinda bribing mikey say if he makes him the 3rd division captain he will get him out of prison. That's why baji dint trust him

My issue with Takemitchy is that he is an absolute idiot when it comes to decision making. Almost every single dire situation he finds himself in could have been either avoided or had a less severe outcome if he just did things in advance or made plans to actually address certain issues. He might travel back to being a kid but he's an adult mentally so the fact he can be so naive most times is amazingly bad and unjustified. Dude is involved with a delinquent gang that is about that life with the smoke and black air force energy but hasn't once thought to himself "maybe I ought to learn how to fight in my spare time instead of chilling at home, especially after what happened with Kiyomasa".. 🤦🏾🤦🏾
But in the end Mitchy is completely useless and the only reason Mikey didnt killed Kazutora was because Baji's charm convinced him of stopping WHICH ALSO was out of his control as he literally only found the damn charm by luck instead of skill. So Mitchy literally got saved by fate 3 times by finding the damn charm in the ground, Baji getting up almost dead AND Baji's charm falling to the ground. Literally nothing was from Mitchy's efforts.

There's always something going on whether he's in the past or the present. There is always an objective. Also Takemitchi physically is useless at times but his will and heart is what makes him different and able to get through to everyone. The things he does to constantly save everyone and the beatings he takes. Plus the weight he bares watching everyone around him die. Takemichi is stronger then I think people realize.

Think about this way, both Baji and Takemichi were the same. They both try to do everything on their own without relying on others. In the end, they failed. I think that that's what the author tried to make Takemichi learn, considering the way he moved forward in the manga. Also, if you were to go to this dude you knew a few months back and be like "Yo, this guy is really bad. I know but I can't tell you why" , the most reasonable answer would be "F*ck you man". We gotta be a little more empathic towards Takemichi.
currently watching this video and I got to say, draken is not scared to do anything, he's just not sure what the right thing to do is and he did in fact said that if he only knew the burden mikey was holding, he would've done something. however, takemichi knows the outcome if he doesn't stop mikey.
Yes. It’s completely justified to criticize takemitchi. A reminder….. takemitchi is a 26 year old MAN. He needs to be smarter & DO SOMETHING. (Yes I know he gets better in the next arcs )
Everyone forgets he only graduated from middle school and since then only worked part time jobs which he was bad at all of them as well all the way till he was 26. He doesn't get smarter right away just because he time travelled. Yes it's fair for viewers to get frustrated but they should know or expect there'll eventually be character development, this shouldn't be hard for them to grasp that concept.

yeah I also get frustrated a lot by takemichi, but then remember that the guys has gone throught fucking horrible trauma again and again and he is constantly facing it, and that shit would froze anybody... so I guess we kind of have to cut him some slack. As a manga reader i totally feel your frustration about Takemichi being "useless" but trust me, Takemichi is a GOAT and i can't wait for y'all to see that. Yes, his character development is slow but it's totally top 3 on the entire show (imo it's the best one). Please don't expect Takemichi to be a Mikey or a Draken, Takemichi is Takemichi. As a manga reader I literally had no problem with Takemichi. He’s had a lot of character development this season. It might be the pacing, but even now in these moments there was nothing he could do.

Takemichi wasnt holding him in the future, thats why he instantly died. Takemichi made him survive longer basically that why baji got back up and could save kazutora from dying

Baji knew Kisaki was up to no good when he brought the deal to Mikey to free Pah if he gets the third division. Baji thought he was orchestrating things from the shadows. But he also was trying to keep Kazu from doing dumb shit. There was multiple reasons.
Half the discussion basically wouldnt have existed about Baji in this video if they remembered that he literally was fighting Mikey over the decision to bring Kisaki back and then he left Toman during the meeting when he was announced as the 3rd division captain.
Also remember that few episodes ago, Mikey questioned how Takemichi knew about the Moebius conflict and Draken being in danger. Mikey is already suspicious about Takemichi so that might be the reason why he does not want to say anything else to Mikey, it would raise too many red flags towards Takemichi.
The thing is: baji joined valhalla bc he wanted to show that kisaki was the head of it and to basically show that he has no good intentions in toman, unfortunately this did not play out well and ended being stabbed by kazutora wich was going to kill him but he ended killing himself to take that burden off kazu and to stop mikey.
The reason why Baji doesn't say things directly to mikey is because he didn't want to put Mickey in that situation, if Mikey had received that information at that time, things would have been worse ... And Takemicchi needed something to say to just be able to get between Mikey and Kazutora, remember that Draken told him: You wouldn't kill the one who killed your brother? Takemicchi was only able to act because he already had Baji as an excuse for Mikey not to kill Kazutora ...

People need to understand that takemitchy is not anything special, he’s not smart, strong, no hidden talents. He’s literally a bum, trying to change, so failure is inevitable for the type of person he is. If things don’t go as planned he’s does not have a plan b cos literally anything could happen. He already told Mikey about kisaki and Mikey already said he knew he was bad news. In a gang you can’t really go against what the leader decides(it’s like treason no matter who you are), that’s literally what broke up Mikey and darken in the alternate future (them disagreeing over pah going to jail). So baji couldn’t really tell Mikey not to apoint kisaki especially with no evidence. Sure Mikey would have heard what he had to say but kisaki would have still been appointed.

If I'm remembering this right, when Baji was in Toman he wasn't allowed to participate in the "political" side of things because of "a certain internal conflict" being Kazutora killing Mikey's brother technically making him an accomplice so I don't think Mikey would believe him anyway about the whole Kisaki thing, which led to Baji taking the roundabout way which is joining Valhalla and attempt to expose him somehow and welp we see how that went. Ultimately, he failed. Also he could really only talk to Takemichi and Chifuyu there at the end, as Mikey was beating the f out of Kazutora. Still it's all pretty weird how this is written, I agree with y'all.

Tbh they’re all kids so I can understand them not thinking straight a lot of the ridiculous stuff that could’ve been solved. For others saying well takemitchi is 26! That doesn’t necessarily mean anything,, takemitchi dropped out of middle school and started working after all the suffering and trauma he suffered. So mentally he’s not too competent when it comes to certain things. He’s just an average guy trying to fix his mistakes, however that doesn’t mean all of a sudden all his problems are gonna be solved without a bit of loss.

my guess is that the still panels with words doesnt transfer well over to animated form in terms of how long takemitchi takes to do sumn since in the anime they have to do moving frames and have the voice lines or they're just making it so when his redemption arc type thing (at least i think he'll have one) will be even more well taken?

I think why Baji was trying to do this all himself was 1. He was on bad terms with Mikey due to him being involved with brothers death. In episode 14 draken or Mikey told Baji he wasn’t allowed to attend ceremonies for that reason. 2. He didn’t want help from takemitchy/Chifuyu because it might blow his cover or takemitchy/Chifuyu might get hurt if they’re involved with the spying in Valhalla. They tried to help him the episode before the fight but he refused their help. All in all it was handled poorly by takemitchy but we have to realize he’s not a mastermind like kisaki, he’s an average dude who’s trying to piece all these this together while at the bottom of the totem pole.
The first part is actually wrong the reason Baji wasn’t allowed at their ceremonies it had nothing to do with Kisaki. Second he wasn’t on bad terms with Mikey, he was already forgiven because he didn’t do anything even though he was there when Kazutora killed him, so he had no reason to be in bad terms with him. And second part Baji didn’t even know Takemichi and Chifuyu were investigating Kisaki. Sure Chifuyu asked Baji if he had info on Kisaki but he never knew if he was involved in stopping Kisaki. Baji only knew for sure in episode 20. But yeah regardless he did refuse their help.

They showed how Hanma interfere with Mikey and what did he get in return? He was knocked out. Imagine if Takemichi did that to stop Mikey from killing Kazutora before Baji tried to stab himself. Baji didnt know who to trust. Toman was already infiltrated by Kisaki and that could mean more people are inside as well. He told the two people that were also fighting Kisaki and gave him the information he had to continue the fight. After all the only 3 to suspect Kisaki at this moment are those 3 Baji already protested directly to Mikey. It didnt work. So he joined the other side Nobody has proof that Kisaki is behind everything. Just speculation. Takemichi already tried to protest Kisaki directly. He got called crazy and beaten up. It wouldnt work. Baji was dying anyway as well.
Takemitchi already told Mikey about kisaki, that he'll ruin Toman someday. Mikey is already suspicious of Takemitchi after the Draken incident, Takemitchi can't say anymore and risk his position. He wasn't even a official member couple of days ago, If he says anything more and can't explain how he knew it, Mikey might not trust Takemitchi anymore. If that happens then there is no going back.
Baji already told mikey abt how he didn't liked kisaki that's why baji was on house arrest when kisaki was made the new captain. Kisaki was needed for making the team stronger. That's why mikey didn't listen and he didn't just wanted to kill kisaki for taking pah spot. He just didn't like the way he went for the spot by bribing mikey.

There was nothing for takemitchy to do sooner. He can’t spoil what’s going to happen in the future to the current toman members and he tried to warn Mikey about Kisaki before and you saw where that got him. And he did change the future bc now Toman didn’t lose this fight and Mikey didn’t succumb to darkness.

The mission here is to get back baji. But baji take his own action to save kazutora too. Well if they already tell about what's behind kisaki early in the story we will don't get really hype just like what you're feeling right now while watching the episode.. 😂 sometimes the creator need to make us upset first ..killing some badass characters just to make it more impactful to us. 😉
Remember how Mikey fight Draken because he "left" Pa in jail, imagine if Baji was against the idea of getting him out of jail (even if that's not true, that's probably what Mikey would think), Mikey would fight Baji and I would be even worse. The first weird thing Baji noticed about Kasaki was that deal, how could a normal person get Pa out of prison and why he wanted to be a commander, not a normal member, that is not normal at all, that's why he went to investigate instead of talking to Mikey, Baji knows Mikey for years, so he knows his personality and as I said Mikey would probably believe that Baji didn't care about Pa or some sh*t like that.
Also think about the Japanese culture. They do a lot of sacrifice just to get honored which is the keyword in Japanese culture, so it would make sense if baji actually did this by him self, so that he would after his mission tell mikey and get honored, which in most cases would give him a higher rank among his people
Also Takemichi has got two cases to do which are either to carry up Baji to hospital quickly like what he did with Draken when he got stabbed before, or to stop Mikey from killing Kazutora. So that's why I guess he got freezed and didn't know what to do. Btw let's bear in mind that no one of the captains has got the power to stop Mikey because they know they can't, so how in the world Takemichi had got the gut to try, Mikey was about to get him in the loop with Kazu until he saw that Baji's charm and then he stopped because of that but not Takemichi. I would say Takemichi was brave but on top he was a lucky man.

If you compare the fight to the parking lot fight, how is right for draken to survive when he was stabbed and baji gets stabbed and he dies? I don’t get this man. Takemitchy really fumbled the bag on this arc because still he feels like he can’t do nothing which now he’s just making excuses. Doing this time travel thing is a risk by itself and he should know the risks that comes from doing this shit. i mean i get what you're saying but takemitchi already talked to mikey about kisaki + baji and mikey even had a disagreement over kisaki being the 3rd division captain. nobody agreed with mikey's decision to make him captain even draken but the thing is kisaki has numbers. he brought like 50 ppl into the gang and made the 3rd division the biggest in the entire gang. he also made that deal with mikey so mikey kind of needs him atp. Baji left to find proof that kisaki's a bad guy without that proof what was mikey going to do? just kick him out and start a conflict between toman and kisaki's division over word of mouth? also i feel like the pacing is kinda weird in this episode esp since the manga didn't have these long ass pauses but takemitchi did what he could. he did step infront of mikey and tried to stop him from killing kazutora and he even tried talking to him too. no one else was gonna fuck with mikey while he was literally beating a guy to death.

I understand your frustrations but you basically kept answering your own questions as you analyzed the situation, in then end it all comes down to takemichi. He knows the outcome of events but doesn't have the details of what leads to the outcome. Even if he rushed to take action it could lead to severed friendships. He can't really explain why kisaki is bad to Mikey, it'll just seem like he doesn't like the guy. To which he wouldn't care for the way he feels especially when kisaki has the solution to free his friend.

Kisaki took advantage of Mikey's grief over Pah's arrest so he can join Toman. This is what Baji overhears and makes him instantly distrust Kisaki. During Kisaki's welcoming ceremony, Baji didn't attend because he was causing "internal conflict" (him disagreeing with Mikey's decision). I wish this was properly spelled out that's why I understand the confusion. I believe even in the manga this was all also implied because they never really explained the "internal conflict" that Baji caused as far as I remember. I don't think Mikey expected Baji to leave Toman that's why when Takemichi requests for Kisaki's removal in exchange for getting Baji back, Mikey agrees. Mikey is stubborn, like really stubborn. He even said before once he makes a decision he sticks by it. If Draken or Baji couldn't fully convince him what makes you think Takemichi can? I think the only reason why Mikey agrees to Takemichi's request was because Baji left. Kisaki is the reason why Baji left in the first place. If Baji didn't leave, I doubt Takemichi wouldn't have been able to convince Mikey fully to get rid of Kisaki without proof. Also Takemichi's hesitation usually lasts for like one or two panels in and before he acts. The pacing is my main gripe with the anime. Other than that I thoroughly enjoy you guys' reaction to this lol

When you question why Baji didn't tell Mikey about Kisaki the answer is Baji did protest about Kisaki joining Toman, it got him nowhere instead Mikey put him on 'house arrest' because he start internal conflict. That's why he goes to Valhalla to take care of Kisaki himself because Mikey didn't listen to him
(All of that implied on the episode where Baji punched Takemichi on the meeting)

My issue with Takemitchy is that he is an absolute idiot when it comes to decision making.
Almost every single dire situation he finds himself in could have been either avoided or had a less severe outcome if he just did things in advance or made plans to actually address certain issues.
He might travel back to being a kid but he's an adult mentally so the fact he can be so naive most times is amazingly bad and unjustified.

Think about this way, both Baji and Takemichi were the same. They both try to do everything on their own without relying on others. In the end, they failed.
I think that that's what the author tried to make Takemichi learn, considering the way he moved forward in the manga.

Everyone forgets he only graduated from middle school and since then only worked part time jobs which he was bad at all of them as well all the way till he was 26. He doesn't get smarter right away just because he time travelled. Yes it's fair for viewers to get frustrated but they should know or expect there'll eventually be character development, this shouldn't be hard for them to grasp that concept.

Baji knew Kisaki was up to no good when he brought the deal to Mikey to free Pah if he gets the third division. Baji thought he was orchestrating things from the shadows. But he also was trying to keep Kazu from doing dumb shit. There was multiple reasons.
Half the discussion basically wouldnt have existed about Baji in this video if they remembered that he literally was fighting Mikey over the decision to bring Kisaki back and then he left Toman during the meeting when he was announced as the 3rd division captain.
Also remember that few episodes ago, Mikey questioned how Takemichi knew about the Moebius conflict and Draken being in danger. Mikey is already suspicious about Takemichi so that might be the reason why he does not want to say anything else to Mikey, it would raise too many red flags towards Takemichi.
That was some kick Mikey did to Hanma tho.

The thing is: baji joined valhalla bc he wanted to show that kisaki was the head of it and to basically show that he has no good intentions in toman, unfortunately this did not play out well and ended being stabbed by kazutora wich was going to kill him but he ended killing himself to take that burden off kazu and to stop mikey.
The reason why Baji doesn't say things directly to mikey is because he didn't want to put Mickey in that situation, if Mikey had received that information at that time, things would have been worse ...
And Takemicchi needed something to say to just be able to get between Mikey and Kazutora, remember that Draken told him: You wouldn't kill the one who killed your brother? Takemicchi was only able to act because he already had Baji as an excuse for Mikey not to kill Kazutora ...

People need to understand that takemitchy is not anything special, he’s not smart, strong, no hidden talents. He’s literally a bum, trying to change, so failure is inevitable for the type of person he is. If things don’t go as planned he’s does not have a plan b cos literally anything could happen. He already told Mikey about kisaki and Mikey already said he knew he was bad news. In a gang you can’t really go against what the leader decides(it’s like treason no matter who you are), that’s literally what broke up Mikey and darken in the alternate future (them disagreeing over pah going to jail). So baji couldn’t really tell Mikey not to apoint kisaki especially with no evidence. Sure Mikey would have heard what he had to say but kisaki would have still been appointed.

If I'm remembering this right, when Baji was in Toman he wasn't allowed to participate in the "political" side of things because of "a certain internal conflict" being Kazutora killing Mikey's brother technically making him an accomplice so I don't think Mikey would believe him anyway about the whole Kisaki thing, which led to Baji taking the roundabout way which is joining Valhalla and attempt to expose him somehow and welp we see how that went. Ultimately, he failed. Also he could really only talk to Takemichi and Chifuyu there at the end, as Mikey was beating the f out of Kazutora. Still it's all pretty weird how this is written, I agree with y'all.

That doesn’t necessarily mean anything,, takemitchi dropped out of middle school and started working after all the suffering and trauma he suffered. So mentally he’s not too competent when it comes to certain things. He’s just an average guy trying to fix his mistakes, however that doesn’t mean all of a sudden all his problems are gonna be solved without a bit of loss.

I think why Baji was trying to do this all himself was
1. He was on bad terms with Mikey due to him being involved with brothers death. In episode 14 draken or Mikey told Baji he wasn’t allowed to attend ceremonies for that reason.
2. He didn’t want help from takemitchy/Chifuyu because it might blow his cover or takemitchy/Chifuyu might get hurt if they’re involved with the spying in Valhalla. They tried to help him the episode before the fight but he refused their help.
All in all it was handled poorly by takemitchy but we have to realize he’s not a mastermind like kisaki, he’s an average dude who’s trying to piece all these this together while at the bottom of the totem pole.
The first part is actually wrong the reason Baji wasn’t allowed at their ceremonies it had nothing to do with Kisaki. Second he wasn’t on bad terms with Mikey, he was already forgiven because he didn’t do anything even though he was there when Kazutora killed him, so he had no reason to be in bad terms with him. And second part Baji didn’t even know Takemichi and Chifuyu were investigating Kisaki. Sure Chifuyu asked Baji if he had info on Kisaki but he never knew if he was involved in stopping Kisaki. Baji only knew for sure in episode 20. But yeah regardless he did refuse their help.

He told the two people that were also fighting Kisaki and gave him the information he had to continue the fight. After all the only 3 to suspect Kisaki at this moment are those 3

Baji already told mikey abt how he didn't liked kisaki that's why baji was on house arrest when kisaki was made the new captain. Kisaki was needed for making the team stronger. That's why mikey didn't listen and he didn't just wanted to kill kisaki for taking pah spot. He just didn't like the way he went for the spot by bribing mikey.

Remember how Mikey fight Draken because he "left" Pa in jail, imagine if Baji was against the idea of getting him out of jail (even if that's not true, that's probably what Mikey would think), Mikey would fight Baji and I would be even worse.
The first weird thing Baji noticed about Kasaki was that deal, how could a normal person get Pa out of prison and why he wanted to be a commander, not a normal member, that is not normal at all, that's why he went to investigate instead of talking to Mikey, Baji knows Mikey for years, so he knows his personality and as I said Mikey would probably believe that Baji didn't care about Pa or some sh*t like that.
Also think about the Japanese culture. They do a lot of sacrifice just to get honored which is the keyword in Japanese culture, so it would make sense if baji actually did this by him self, so that he would after his mission tell mikey and get honored, which in most cases would give him a higher rank among his people
Man though Takemichi must of have had been shocked and scared what he did takes serious courage so I got to give him that he did the best he could
Also Takemichi has got two cases to do which are either to carry up Baji to hospital quickly like what he did with Draken when he got stabbed before, or to stop Mikey from killing Kazutora. So that's why I guess he got freezed and didn't know what to do. Btw let's bear in mind that no one of the captains has got the power to stop Mikey because they know they can't, so how in the world Takemichi had got the gut to try, Mikey was about to get him in the loop with Kazu until he saw that Baji's charm and then he stopped because of that but not Takemichi. I would say Takemichi was brave but on top he was a lucky man.

Baji did not have to die to prove a point that kisaki was the bad guy. I find it hard to believe that people think that’s the right approach to this whole arc and no bajis actions weren’t reckless they were totally justifiable and he knew what he was doing up until his death but he didn’t need to die to spare kazutoras life or prove kisaki is the bad guy because I feel like right then and there while he was on his last legs, he could’ve opened up about kisaki and said dude is bad news Forsure. If you compare the fight to the parking lot fight, how is right for draken to survive when he was stabbed and baji gets stabbed and he dies? I don’t get this man. And what people need to understand is that now it’s not about crying over shit and just letting shit happen. Takemitchy really fumbled the bag on this arc because still he feels like he can’t do nothing which now he’s just making excuses. its a mistranslation. in the manga he says that Baji is the only one who figured him out. its confirmed because in later arc, kisaki mentions it a couple of times

He need kisaki, even mikey already say that he dont really like kisaki too but as commander he cant do nothing even tho mikey is the strongest he cant do nothing he dont have proof that kisaki is the enemy so and dont blame takemitchy for not stopping mikey when he wanna kill kazutora at first because do you thing you can stop mikey and told him to not kill kazutora? when kisaki was announced as 3rd division commander, baji wasn't suppose to be there because of conflict. u think baji has the power to convince mikey xD ? hes about to find out about him and have that evidence as proof or something. i think this anime is the closest to what would you/us actually do irl (as takemitchy) ;p very good writer
So like this y’all have to remember what Mikey dream!! His dream is make touman bigger. So Mikey need kisaki because in first touman only have 100 solders and then the number increases when kisaki joined!! To 100 -> 150 solders. That’s the only reason why he agree to let kisaki become 3rd commander. In on esp when Baji beats up take, and take task to kick kisaki out of touman but he didn’t agree with that. He know that kisaki is to DANGER guys already!!!
I understand your frustrations but you basically kept answering your own questions as you analyzed the situation, in then end it all comes down to takemichi. He knows the outcome of events but doesn't have the details of what leads to the outcome. Even if he rushed to take action it could lead to severed friendships. He can't really explain why kisaki is bad to Mikey, it'll just seem like he doesn't like the guy. To which he wouldn't care for the way he feels especially when kisaki has the solution to free his friend.

in the first place Toman need an army for battle against Valhalla, Kisaki as 'the leader' of Moebius made an agreement with Mikey, he'll help Pah out from jail & crush Valhalla if Moebius join toman. I don't what i'm saying :D but thats what happen.

Kisaki took advantage of Mikey's grief over Pah's arrest so he can join Toman. This is what Baji overhears and makes him instantly distrust Kisaki. During Kisaki's welcoming ceremony, Baji didn't attend because he was causing "internal conflict" (him disagreeing with Mikey's decision). I wish this was properly spelled out that's why I understand the confusion. I believe even in the manga this was all also implied because they never really explained the "internal conflict" that Baji caused as far as I remember. I don't think Mikey expected Baji to leave Toman that's why when Takemichi requests for Kisaki's removal in exchange for getting Baji back, Mikey agrees.
Mikey is stubborn, like really stubborn. He even said before once he makes a decision he sticks by it. If Draken or Baji couldn't fully convince him what makes you think Takemichi can? I think the only reason why Mikey agrees to Takemichi's request was because Baji left. Kisaki is the reason why Baji left in the first place. If Baji didn't leave, I doubt Takemichi wouldn't have been able to convince Mikey fully to get rid of Kisaki without proof.
Also Takemichi's hesitation usually lasts for like one or two panels in and before he acts. The pacing is my main gripe with the anime. Other than that I thoroughly enjoy you guys' reaction to this lol
You guys need to understand the situation...you can't just blamming Takemitchi for not doing anything and saying that he just standing there...just watching and doing nothing...what do you guys think he can do at that moments...he cannot just say "HEY ALL OF THIS IS KISAKI FAULT" and then what? literally there nothing he can do about Mickey beating Kazutora even the other members of Toman can't do nothing about it
