Yikes these Brewers arent messin around at all. They are reminding me somewhat of the Royals teams from recent years. And not because of Moustakas and Cain, but that has something to do with it. Their pitching and defense has been great and they arent missing opportunities at the plate. Whereas the Dodgers are constantly just one swing away or one or two pitches from keeping a run or two off the board. Its been a really good series so far.
I doubt he knew that was going to happen before it happened. My question is who is he going to substitute him for? If they were better they'd be playing. He sees what the fans don't see. He gets reports that we'd never see.
Defensive mistakes? Braun's RBI double in the first inning was all the Brewers needed to win. Where was the defensive mistake on that? Arcia's home run? No defensive mistake there. Dodgers defense didn't lose the game. Brewers pitching shut the Dodgers down. And the Brewers bats beat the Dodgers pitching.
TBH, these Brewers are starting to remind me of MY 2008 World Champion Phillies. Phillies swept LA that year, but Milwaukee is not that far away from winning the NL Division.
Brewers should’ve been up 3-0 after this game and closed out the series in no more than 5 games. Jeffress shouldn’t have left the dugout for the rest of the series after game 2.
Counsell really needs to stop putting Jeffress in so much... .He would’ve blown game 163 against the cubs if they were in any other ballpark because Baez’s hit was almost a HR .Blew the lead in game 1 against the Rockies .And lost game 2
Yeah, earlier this season I had a seat only about 3 or 4 rows from the field near the right foul line but the seats were literally facing the WRONG DIRECTION, those seats were facing straight towards the outfield. Since those seats were so close to ground level and so deep into the outfield, ones head needs to constantly be turned almost all the way to the side to see most of the action. That got old pretty quick and I just ended up walking around and exploring the stadium
Where did all the fans go? Half the stands were empty by the bottom of the 8th. Bandwagon must have been leaving early to beat the traffic! Miller Park was packed until the very last out.

Moustakis is turning out to be the Robert Horry of MLB showing up in big games every few years for different teams...and Manny is a talent but not much going on upstairs. Hat tip to the Brewers starting pitcher.
