I guess im asking randomly but does someone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Sean Vance thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Thanks for the review. I bought one recently but was skeptical about its sound as I wanted a warm tone. The previous one didnt give much warm tone - a Tanglewood tsf ce xfm. Hope when this one arrives I will enjoy the sound
Victor Olweny Very few guitars are warm to begin with, it usually takes about two years of constant use for them to sound their best. A few days ago I fitted mine with Da'Darrio chromes which are meant for electric but they give a nice jazzy sound. As the guitar matures I may revert to bronze strings.
Yes, I got born again in 1981 and within a couple of weeks found myself sitting at the organ in Baldernock church. My first hymns followed a few months later. Blessings John
So glad to hear that you're regenerated in the Spirit that's marvellous. John do you teach guitar? I stay down at Manse across from Hogganfield Loch am a preacher/teacher/evangelist and been involved in a wee guitar fellowship group Fri 7-9.30pm which was originally 4 or 5 guys but only two of us now, both of us are keen to learn but need a wee push for a few weeks some encouragement. Let us know if you'd be able to help or want to join us we begin with some Pizza & prayer. Gary (tel 07565 132810) .
Thanks for the video. I really enjoy your videos. My questions is, based on this guitar (I have a Tanglewood Java myself), what do you get for the extra £1,000 spent on a Gibson or Martin guitar. Are they value for money.
Great review. It sounds really good. I wish I could find an acoustic I liked. I really like the sound of them and the good intonation etc. As a mainly classical player, try as I might over the years, I've never got to grips with steel strung 'folk' type guitars. Almost all the ones I've tried have had clunky/high action with strings both too heavy and tight feeling. All my attempts to improve the action and feel have more or less failed. A bit sad really.
If the narrow neck puts you off you could always try a 12 string with only the main six strings on board? With less tension than it was designed for the action might also be acceptable.
@@JohnCouplandguitar Thanks John. A good suggestion. I think I actually might prefer an old-fashioned f hole style acoustic - with old, dull [or even flatwound] strings. Keep up the good work.
+Denis Daly No it was just a random chord sequence although someone, somewhere may have used it in the past. Speaking of JM, I was singing in a Glasgow pub one evening when he decided to chat up a pair of dolly birds. He seemed to be doing quite well until he leaned back against the wall and sat on a fire extinguisher. It went off and so did the girls! Happy memories indeed.
If I had been polishing the frets then I would have taped the finger board but as I was only doing the ends (by holding the sanding block at 45 degrees to the neck) I did not bother.
The designations stand for Super Folk and Dreadnought so I imagine the build quality and materials will be the same. The Dreadnought will be larger, have a deeper bass and be a bit louder.
I bought an acoustic Tanglewood TND Nashville IV because my friend told me its good. But Yahama F310 was my first choice. Which one is better? Can anyone help please? 🙏🏻
John Coupland thank you sir. But from ur opinion which one do u prefer? Yamaha F310 made in Indonesia and Tanglewood TND Nashville IV made in China. But the Tanglewood is the basic one dreadnaught size without any pickup. Im thinking of installing Fishman Presys blend or + pickup. Do you honestly think its good or it will affect the guitar sound? Any recommendation? Sorry for asking too much. I really need help for my first guitar.
These pick ups have very little effect on the acoustic tone but unless you are great at woodwork then it is best to leave fitting pick ups to the professionals. A better idea would be to look at guitars which already ave electronics fitted. That way you know exactly what they sound like both amped and acoustically. Also if this is your first guitar then it will be at least a year or two before you are near being good enough to perform in public. However if I had to choose I would go Yamaha as their quality control is second to none.
I bought a Tanglewood about 20 odd years ago from a catalogue, it had an inch high action at the nut and put welts in my fingertips that brought tears to your eyes! it was awful!
Acoustically the Tanglewood is the better sounding of the two but not quite as well built as the Ibanez. I also prefer the pick up on the Ibanez. Best thing to do is go into a guitar store and try them for yourself because while you can hear and see them on line you cannot tell how they feel.
Just bought a Tanglewood super Jumbo John also a Les Paul copy TSB 58 Good to watch you again
Good choices Tony.
Hi John, I’m acoustic hunting again, watching your videos for advice, again. Blessings from Oz
Let us know what you get and good hunting.
I'm very fond of your videos. Thanks for posting! Keep it up.
Another teriffic review John always informative and concise. Lovely to hear a fellow glaswegian voice on youtube..cheers.

Hello. Liked your Vid! Carry on the impressive job
Hi John,
I was wondering if the first few Chords you played were from a song by John Martyn?
If I'm right could you remind me which one?
Thx

Full of useful insights. Well done. Re the 2 minutes sanding - did u spend a little longer beforehand taping between the frets?
If I had been polishing the frets then I would have taped the finger board but as I was only doing the ends (by holding the sanding block at 45 degrees to the neck) I did not bother.
Many thanks for the reply. Me and acoustics tend not to get on, so u'r expertise is very welcome.
Thank you very informative i'm buying one ta
Hey there, may I know if the back and sides are made of solid or laminate wood?
It seems to be a laminate. Which makes it less likely to split if you bang it off the kitchen table.
@@JohnCouplandguitar ok thanks!
Is this similar to the TPE DCE DS ? I notice the body shape is slightly different to a dreadnaught.
The designations stand for Super Folk and Dreadnought so I imagine the build quality and materials will be the same. The Dreadnought will be larger, have a deeper bass and be a bit louder.

Hey John! First of all, thank you for the videos :) Really helpfull! Question... Ibañez AEG 10II N or Tanglewood TPE SFCE ? Thank You!

That is my thinking... While on the mission of finding the store that has both here in Porto, found your videos. Thank you yery much :)
