Hey, everyone! Sorry for the mishap! Got to masters this season with Vanquish Soul fairly easy. This is what I played for Master Duel and everything you need to know!
Thank the heavens for you Calie.. whenever I get stuck on a deck, you always seem to always be there to have a well constructed deck profile.. Live and all too and the fact I want to build VS in the TCG and you directed that side of the game too just makes this all that more gracious… Continue doing what you do best! We thank you for everything big dog!
Great video honestly. Been grinding a lot with Vanquish Soul and have come to a lot of the same conclusions. TCBOO while powerful does nothing going second and is essentially another brick as a result for a deck that wins going first anyways. Shifter is powerful but weakens your own end board and resource management so much that you likely won't be able to OTK or put up a board strong enough vs a deck like Purrely or D-Link if they skipped turn to play around Shifter. I do disagree about hand traps like Crow. It's great against Mathmech, can be revealed early in a turn for stuff like Borger draws, while revealing your hand traps isn't ideal, vs most decks there's not a lot they can do about it if you know their chokepoints. Small World is a card I definitely like, especially if you have the fire kaiju to bridge into Kurikara for certain match ups. It's not as good in this deck as say Mathmech, but the options it can access can be very valuable. I also understand your sentiment on Dust Devil. I personally like it though because it gives Mad Love something to do if you don't have access to Razen or all 3 attributes. And it is fantastic against Mikanko, a deck I despise, and Purrely and even link decks like D-Link and Mathmech when going first. I actually really disagree with your take on Stake Your Soul though. Yes it is telegraphed but it being able to summon directly to field allows the deck to play around Droll, which I've run into a lot, and if it were a ROTA it would lose that utility. Plus it bouncing back to hand means you can get attributes to reveal or can simply resummon with Rock next turn. For a lot of cards the bounce is actually ideal since you want their on summon effect. It also being searchable with Thrust means that I can find a way to combo through just non engine if someone attempts to interrupt my Durendal or Fenrir. Thrust searching Snow Devil is also really clutch. Overall I love this deck a lot, its versatile, surprisingly strong, able to adapt to formats thanks to its non engine space, and its balanced nature and lower ceiling makes it very unlikely to get hit on the banlist as you said before. Definitely gonna be my main deck for ladder and tournaments moving forward.
@michaellin295 Imperm is better going second as it can just shut down problem monsters on your turn, but Effect Veiler is arguably better for Vanquish Soul since they often draw with Borger on the opponent's turn, meaning if you draw a Veiler you could use it but if you draw an Imperm you can't use it from hand cause you have cards on the field. Imperm can be searched off of Thrust going first though if you're running it, so pick your poison. Effect Veiler might be a little better but there's arguments for both.
@@Capta1nTD how many Borger do you run? Do you run bystials? I like them for disruption and I like that Mangnamut can search either another bystial or Ceacar. I use to run Blaster for a fire target but that's usually all he was
Including the Extra Deck cards, there's 57 cards in this deck. 7 of those cards are N/R. I just want people to really let that sink in. Imma maybe try this in TCG (Online, not IRL. It's too expensive there too), but I refuse to build this MD, but for sure a fun and rewarding deck for anyone who wants to get into VS
Of those 50 cards left over, only 17 are archetypal cards. 7 SR's, and 10 URs. The rest are mostly staples that most players should have by now unless they are new.
Dimension shifter is a a very conditional card. Not only do you have to have it in the beginning of the match, it completely bricks if you don’t. Which is exactly why I hate it
That's why it's called "Stake your Soul!" Half this deck's plays forcast themselves because of how often you have to reveal cards in your hand to make them, that's just the most blatant example of it.
There’s respect to be given, like any other game, it be trading cards or video games, it’s about being the better player. needing cheap cards like Evenly Match or Skill Drain ect says weakness and that’s a confidence booster

I really like the Q/A at the end. This is something that’s super dope that not a lot of other yugitubers do
wheres the gameplay?

I usually run effect veiler over imperm, what are your thoughts?

@@Capta1nTD would you mind if I picked your brain a bit about vanquish soul and card ratios? Do you run 2 or 3 madlove?
@michaellin295 2. The card is really searchable and doesn't do much on its own. Nice to have with Razen access though. And solos the Mikanko match up.

@@FearedKamilOf those non-archetypal, 3 are either free from solo mode (I believe ROTA?) or a guarantee from a bundle
You should have majority of the cards since they’re staples and outside of rock the extra deck doesn’t matter
If stake your soul was a normal Rota then it plays into droll and lock… so like… what’s the actual difference?
What do you do about towers though? No goddess or kaiju?
Dang
We're back in the digital age

Ah okay this makes sense now. Still gave you a like
Neat deck..but im holding out for mannadium and race support

But Dark Hole Dragon😢
good things come to those who wait... it'll have its day in MD eventually (I'm also betting it's a UR, without fail...)
Not impressive, its the best deck in master duel atm.
