Classic mini, modern 3cyl motor with boost... what could be better?!
While the mini is not here... I can get on with other things...like the dash. Can I fit all I want into the dash and make it look all retro and old school? Let me know what you thought in the comments!

I bought a very similar ‘hi-fi’ (lo-fi?) to go in the new centre console I’m building for my wife’s MG Midget. I thought the same as you, CDs are good, but the road and engine noise in our Midget means that any decent unit would be a waste of money!
Yeah. I do feel for her. Seeing things come together in front of her makes it more real though!

Aye. I'd need to do a lot more with the enclosures and sound deadening ...
I WOULD get a better unit, Pioneer etc...but they don't make retro looking stuff like this.
Speakers won't sound good has they need to be sealed from front to back.
You need to front mount them on dash or get some plywood cut out a hole for speakers then fit over existing holes.

I need your opinion on a problem with my 306 DTurbo. It's running a Lucas pump and a week ago it stopped boosting. After checking the turbo, I know it's boosting so i think the problem is the fuel. Is it possible that oil leaked from the Intercooler into the onboost valve and clogged it shut?
No, it won't have clogged anything. Is that pipe from the pump to the intercooler split? Is the D ring split? Is the fuel filter blocked? Does it feel more fuel or boost related? What colour is the exhaust gas?
@@PiggyPower Absolutely no smoke from the exhaust ( The first electric 306) Hoses replaced even though the old ones were good. I'm back thinking about the wastegate being stuck open, or the pump being shot, even though car starts up like new.
@@TheBGHellKnight it's odd for it to be stuck open... But not impossible. What turbo is it?

@@TheBGHellKnight hmmmm... Check the boost control flap isn't loose? Is it a constant fault? Had anything been done to it ?
