      We'll be knocking out regular videos so don't panic I have some in stock that I'll drip feed while we are back in France and then when we are back we start filming again. I don't want to be like some of the vlogers who just produce video after video and post every week just for the sake of it which are so boring and which I feel has a negative effect and in the end you simply don't watch them. So hopeful when we produce a video it's fresh, interesting , funny and informative.
      Cheers
      Glenn

      I get it... It takes up a lot of beer time.... and a 15 min video can take sometimes a week or more to get it all right... hours of edit work, and your beer just gets hot waiting for you... Yep Glen I get it... Pull out a cold one and kick back... Suck up some good vibes and will hang out and wait for you both... no rush my friend...

      I love the cold and now that I don't have to work outside in the elements, I love it even more; as long as I can come inside to comfort.
      You have an absolutely beautiful coach but I'm sold on the blue Anthem.
      See you on the road in a couple of years!

    Oh, the photo is LOVELY. I'm curious why you used shears (scissors) to cut the clear package tape!
    The reel of tape has a serrated blade which cuts the tape well. I would caution folks to be mindful that the tape still on the reel could re-fasten back on to the reel, and become stubborn to release should one want to reel off more tape for other uses. I take about 1 cm (1/2") of tape and fold it back on itself, so I have a tabbed leader to make the next removal of tape easy. The glass is "perspect"? I think it's probably "polycarbonate" or "Plexiglas acrylic" also referred to as the "glazing", the same kind of crystal-clear plastic that's used in headlight covers. I think the gray border might be referred to as a mat? Then again, I'm not sure.
    When I get my RV, I'd wonder if there are artsy-framed LCD-based projector screens which can be loaded with electronic photo files. Then, every minute or so, the screen would refresh with a different photo file! You folks no doubt have strong contact with the people at Entegra. I'd bed they'd like that idea.
    Finally: I LOVE your videos...they're so informative, so helpful and so very smart! Thanks for all your hard work and delightful results...and obviously your fun travels! I'm thinking of doing the same...and wonder, as I'm "single" and unhitched, what the RV lifestyle is for single gentlemen travelling about. I retire in FIVE years...and cannot wait. Take care, travel safe!

    Love the LED lighting idea.
    As for vent's mine are held up with magnet's and my maintenance manual suggest cleaning them once a month so I do just out of habit now.
    I wonder why my coach is different than yours, it an Entegra coach?

    Hi Glenn and Julia! Thanks for sharing these great tips, Which I will certainly be using. They (meaning) the manufacturer actually forgot/ oversight to install my photograph on the wall.🤔 but that's ok, now I know how to install one that I'm sure will be more meaningful just like yours. As for the lights.... LOVELY! I will be adding that as well. You guys are always so thoughtful & helpful. Thanks for sharing! Wishing you both safe and happy travels!

    You and your wife are so wonderful. I know a lot of your video's show issue you have had but it as shows how your fixed them. I emailed you on your website and you emailed me back. That showed class. I was an Entegra Anthem Fan and you helped me become a bigger fan. You both and a few others are the reason why at age 60 I became an RV fanatic. Unfortunately, after a discussion with my lovely wife (happy wife, happy life) we decided not to buy an Entegra and instead ordered an Airstream Interstate Class B Grand Tour with a Tommy Bahama package. In doing so I have an option for the future to get the Entegra Anthem I dream of. I hope to go to Key West during your upcoming visit to the US. If not, keep the video coming and help all of us with the joy you seemed to have found. Be well and stay health.

      Great Escape, You are way to nice to do that. I, on the other have spent my life in the business including auto's, RV, and boat. The key to the consumer is a company that focus on the consumer's experience during ownership. Their entire company needs to be the foundation for that. If it is not, they will fail and those that own their products will be hurt. Where Entegra's parent company is shifting with key leadership personal away from Client-centering, their loyal long-term nucleus of team members seem to feel betrayed and the service provided at all levels are being effected. This is a $500,000 plus home on wheels. It takes trust to buy it and the blogs, video's as well as personal communication with dealers/representatives are telling a different story. BTW, Airstream is owned by the same parent companies. They seem to leave Airstream alone for now. It seems to be a cash cow. Just saying. Be well and stay healthy.

      Ed Victory, This research on Classes, Brands, Models and Options has been one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life. Research should be easy, but if you really want the answers, you have to dig. No RV is build perfectly, none intentionally have issues, not all of them have bad dealers/sales consultants/service department. My goal as an active member of social media is to be what my name says, "The Client Advocate". Do your due diligence and make your choices based on the information you personally obtained. One negative review is NOT Enough. You need to read the verbatim comments looking for a series of folks saying the same kind of thing. Enjoy the process so you can enjoy the life style more often. Gary "The RV Advocate"

    I love watching your videos. I have a question about the mold in the vent cover. Is this a common problem with rv's, and I know that the use of propane for heat and cooking causes higher humidity, so did this coach have propane or is it all electric? Thanks.

    • @GreatEscape24
      @GreatEscape24  7 років тому +1

      Hi Jon
      Our (like most now) is an all electric coach. I think that the mold growth is due to visiting Florida which is extremely humid and when we left our coach we completely disinfected everything, absolutely everything. When we returned 5 weeks later the inside of our fridge was growing. So it must be the humid atmosphere that caused these issues

    Good to see your problems with attempted corporate censorship have not stopped you continueing with your tips and content. I'm really shocked by some of the things you have highlighted as normal in the US. I'm sure here in the UK a lot of these things would land the dealer/seller in court if they happened.

    A tip perhaps-get and run a dehumidifier in your RV at all times. Mold gets everywhere and it’s not covered under warranty.

    May I say that once you'll end your trips around North America or if you intend at one point to buy a new coach, it would make your coach for someone looking to buy a previously owned Motorhome, probably the best buy there is. You've done so much improvements to it and also with all the repairs done to it, it probably be a better buy than a brand new Motorhome.

      I think it's because I use copyright music, so it's a bit of a trade off, The joke is I'm only using about 5 seconds of copyrighted music but it does say: The claimant is allowing their content to be used in your UA-cam video. However, ads might appear on it.

    Such a shame to see that spaghetti behind the panel! For these panels my objective is to rewire them with a proper loom. The objective is to make repairs while underway possible.
    I like to fit a metal strip on the back of the flimsy panel, with nylon strips affixed to the back of the assembly. If the panel is lowered, all is supported. The cabling is then run in a nice loop with the cables individually labeled.

  • @jim-uu2db
    @jim-uu2db 6 років тому

    Actually no different than a home filter on the ac. Keeping up on them.

  • @n3qdz
    @n3qdz 7 років тому

    So Glenn, let me ask you this.When do you start your own company making custom coaches? That janky wiring is appalling! I was a low voltage technician for many years I would be embarrassed if that were my work! The flimsy panel that all of those devices were attached to is utterly insanity! Entegra needs to change their name, there in nothing of any integrity that their product represents.

    • @GreatEscape24
      @GreatEscape24  7 років тому +2

      Entegra is probably the best of the bad bunch. But what I will say is that if anyone out there reading this who has a shed load of money and wants to take over the very lucrative RV industry. Then I would move to the US and run it and completely tidy up and change the RV industry for ever. One of the things that amaze me the most that no one in Entegra has even spent a weekend in one of their coaches, so how do they know what's needed?????? Joke. So I'll sit here and wait for the offers to come in, as how hard can it be to produce a QUALITY PRODUCT.

  • @focusedmessagemarketing958
    @focusedmessagemarketing958 7 років тому

    That wiring mess is a disgrace at $350k! Two Canadian companies, Leisure Time and Pleasure Ways have gotten good reviews, Thor got terrible reviews.
    One thought, unlike houses, RV’s do not have to meet any sort of building codes, at least I don’t think they have to. This wiring is a fire hazard.

    • @garytilkin
      @garytilkin 7 років тому

      Ed Victory, The brands let me to assume you are looking for Class B vs. Class A coaches. Yes I bought the Airstream Interstate because it had all of the Mercedes-Benz installed safety features on its chassis. Another brand to consider is Road Trac followed by Winnabago Era. Others will disagree with me but drill down deep be for you write your check. Gary "The RV Advocate"

  • @TairnKA

    That wiring is again an example of piss poor manufacturing (laziness and no pride). ;-(
