Others are too. It just doesn't come up as often. There is a reason all of them are paper thin. Funny thing is that i think only jype has normal looking idols like Changbin or Jeongyeon
All these kpop companies are bad in their own ways. People need to stop praising some when others are exposed. They are all money hungry and don't care about the artists.
As far as I've seen, KQ is different, at least. The guys wouldn't be able to have built so much muscle mass if they were making them do extreme diets. KQ's CEO says he treats his artists and trainees like athletes. Athletes need fuel, so while I'm sure they do go on diets, they are not starvation diets. More like the standard chicken/fish, rice, and vegetable diets that many people choose to go on to build muscle and reduce body fat the healthy way, so the body still has all the nutrients it needs.
Every company that ever existed is in it for the money, but the biggest point is how the K-pop industry works. Its common sense that the companies have to put you through this. The weight restrictions, few hours of sleep, it's all to make you perfect so you don't get severe hate. If they didn't put you through that stuff the fans would destroy you and your career. If you can't handle it, you shouldn't go in the K-pop industry. Also, there are a lot of things people make out to be so awful, when it's really not a big deal. The kg thing also is a little dumb because she should've researched what she would have to go through in order to be a K-pop artist. I don't blame her for leaving if she discovered that she couldn't handle it, but I believe that it's nothing new, and its normal to go through such things. I'm sure its stressful, but if twice could do it, then there is a small percentage of people who have the strength and a strong passion for music to handle it.
I still can't get over one of the Enhypen members being forced to not be allowed to eat a cookie. He looked super sad after being excited about wanting to eat it. He dances likely 3 hours a day from practice. How is one cookie 🍪 gonna effect his looks...
@@livjupiterThey did But Not there solo contracts they are not even that active anymore they only comeback like 2-3 years since they focus on there solo stuff now
Nah they won't change, all these news are coming out from a Western POV at the End of the Day KPOP Agencies will do the same as they have done in the past. Korean Govt Supports these Agencies as they Generate Alot of Income for the Country.
if it changed, the fans would destroy the artists instead of the companies. Do you see what already happens right now if the companies go a little easy on the restrictions? The artists would be doomed.
If you didn't already know about the dieting and mental strain that is put on these trainees and idols by not only jyp but all other companies too you're oblivious af. Kpop stans just love to ignore all the red flags until one of the cases blows up💀
I'm new to kpop so forgive me for not knowing all the lore. I knew somewhat that it was bad, but KG and Hanni's version sounds way worse than I thought it was. I meant it was a bad year for the agencies cause their getting a lot of backlash. NJ left HYBE, and now KG is suing JYPE(tho they're prolly gonna be happy with a settlement). And yes I know things probably won't change just from this, but we can hope
It's strange that people almost stop talking about Jeongyeon's and Changbin's weight problems, while the company didn't even stop them performing while "some extreme fans said they're over weight". It's also funny, that when JYPE giving breaks by allowing hiatus for their artists, some influencers actually only care about how many the "hiatus" cases are.
Its really hard to support them when a company is doing that to them because anything you watch you know is going to that company. I really love kpop but hate this abusive shit
the fans would destroy the artists instead of the companies if it weren't for the 'abusive shit' they go through. Do you see what already happens right now if the companies go a little easy on the restrictions? The artists would be doomed.
Saying that westerners or foreigners can't handle the Korean system completely disregard all the artists and trainees that have succeeded in current and well established groups. We don't get to see behind the facade that the company makes and we don't get to see everything that happens behind the scenes. Kpop companies need to take more of the KQ approach where KQ's CEO said that Kpop artists need to be treated more like athletes, good nutrition, a healthy regiment of exercise and good sleep. I wonder what a group would be like if they treated trainee's like potential olympic athletes instead of starving their trainees.
and yet we see that they are right about this the idols are being treated well enough but they also have to work hard with isnt something we know much of in the west especially our younger generations.
so you want the k-pop industry to be like the american industry, where everyone doesn't work hard, and untalented people still become famous actors and musicians?
Korean kids after school go to academies so they normally have 12-14h days. They only get one day off. They have a culture of sacrificing youth to achieve their goals. Some in academics and others in idol training. One of KG accusations was that her teacher called her a "terrible dancer". The other was about 12h days that are a norm for every korean kid not only an idol. Trainees know what they are signing up for and they do it willingly and eagerly.
its not just k-pop but people in south Korea and east Asia in general are obsessed with small body proportions if you be working normal jobs they would judge you or keep starring at you if your not slim enough like china and japan are pretty harsh in terms of what people look like so they have to starve themselves in order to fit the standard its insane. I still don't get why many people become kpop stars even though they know they will go through this its either because of there strong passion or something else and those people are probably strong I am 16 now when I was 12 I wanted to become an idol but I don't know anymore its crazy plus I need to get my education like what if I cant debut or my career is a flop how and what am I supposed to do instead. I would rather become a manager for a group or a staff member under a kpop company these days I'm looking more into there recruitment process and I actually want to go to college/university to study maybe someday I can help these people you know I need a backup plan too I hear lots of trainees and minor idols don't go to college or university because of the crazy schedules they don't want to study too much either maybe they arent the best at it. My mom did agree and say I can be an idol if I want when I was younger but I have to go to college and get an education or it wont happen if I tell her about the insane schedules and everything she will say just drop your idol life even though I want it because education is more important in that case. from what shes saying I agree I don't think I will become a kpop idol I will work as a staff or manager of a kpop group or even start my own kpop company if I can and I will treat them right cause I still get to see my favs right and help them too
@@von1glik exactly it is hard but no one is forced to do so and everyone can quit later on too if they realize its too much for them but the good part is that their hard work mostly pays off they dont have to be the most famous artists to still being able to live well with what they earn.
I honestly think that JYP is the best entertainment company out of all companies and Stray Kids are not being forced to diet. They've all been getting steadily more buff and only Felix diets because of personal convictions. And the company cares for their mental and physical health. Lia just recently came back from a hiatus and seems to be doing well now. Han's anxiety has nothing to do with the company. He's even getting tattoos, which are usually strictly forbidden. Stray Kids have all the creative control over their music and frequently go camping and home to their families. It's easy to criticize knowing absolutely nothing that goes on inside.
I hate the fact they called all the idols' mental health conditions as "anxiety" for every occasion!!!! It was likely much more than anxiety alone, but they think they can get away with just saying that. They need to take better care of their idols for goodness sakes
Fans are a big part of it yes but who allows the behavior of said fans to continue? They consistently double down by backing up and supporting the FANS over the idols needs.
@@SBBunny93 what can the companies do? even if they just let it be or they say something, the most they will get out of it is some fans praising them for supporting the idols. but thats only going to be around 5% of the fanbase.
4:00 iU is not JYP. Just goes to show that it's not just JYP who does this. SM's aespa lost so much weight! JYP gives their idols breaks meanwhile, SM idols die or kill them selves, and are exposed to sexual harassment from executives. Do we have a video about that Cookie? NO. The who KPOOP industry is brutal but JYP is not the worse. YG's BP just raised the bar for not eating since debut. Do we have a video about that? No. I think this video is too directed on blaming JYP when this KG issue is just about the "whole KPOP industry" itself. Click baiting is just the sad cancer of YT. PS I don't like my idols looking like skin and bones but this is the reality about idols. I don't think blaming 1 company that does better can change the whole system. Make more balanced and more reliable videos Cookie
I feel bad for idols. Although they chose this career, i think it's probably because even after hearing about other idols' bad experiences, they still wanna try and make their own dreams come true. They probably don't imagine how bad it can be. But in regards of the Beauty standards, I don't think they are exclusively practiced in the entertainment industry alone, but i think it is mostly the society that expects idols and celebrities to look "perfect", always "happy" and be "a role model". So i think the companies are just a part of the whole pressure k-pop idols must endure. Let's hope these companies find better ways to treat idols better. But starting from the fact that idols are not considered to be workers, there's really not so much that can be done regarding their human rights. I think idols should unite and ask the goverment (or whoever manages those rights) to make new laws to consider k-pop artists to be included in the worker rights laws, otherwise the abuse will continue, sadly.
Love that this is finally being talked about after years thanks to an American girl named KG. All though we knew of companies doing all this with their idols we actually didn't know all of it. I'm so proud of her, I hope she succeeds later in life and the kpop industry does change for the better cause its way outdated still.
Funny thing is Jeongyon is getting hate for weight gain while being in JYPE....some comments are really horrible..that I think she is the bravest to continue as an idol
lol do you know the term “coaching”? She was probably COACHED on what to say to shield the company from transgressions. Just like they told the VCHA members to lie about the OD and call it food poisoning. I hate to be cynical but do not take anything from anyone attached to a company solely founded to make money out of anything for face value.
@elisowavy1 they talked about dieting and then started to list everyone who's gone on hiatus because of mental health problems conveniently avoiding mentioning reasons behind it, making it sound like it's all because of pressure that JYPE put on them. Being an idol is hard, companies are not angels, but JYPE started the practice of giving their idols a break because of their mental health. There's a long list of this kind of hiatuses in JYPE because they have that option, a lot of other companies don't give it and idols work despite their mental health problems. But this system failed VCHA. I admit it. Something went wrong.
People talking about diet but Straykids is also idol of this company. They are not thin as per idol standard of korea. JYP may not be strict when artists become established
yeah thats healthy there bodies look healthy felix looks like very thing already for a grown male I don't like asias skinny obsessions there thinspo is going too far. btw what do you mean by established
jyp need and i mean NEEDS to relax on his idols cause he pushing them so hard and they will leave just like got7 i just wish that he would think bout what he is putting them through and just give them a vacation and not have them go on tour and other stuff cause their bodies r goin to break down and hes goin to regret what he did to them. so jyp give ur idols a break or they will leave u
K-pop artists have strong passions for music and that keeps them going. that's what helped twice through. If the companies didn't put them through that stuff, the fans would destroy them anyway. Fans already hate on K-pop artists if the companies go easy on the restrictions.
For starters I want to defend JYPE as well just because my stray kids boys are managed there but just because we love the groups and the way some of the staff treat the artists in a positive way doesn’t make them the best company. But We do need to remember that other agencies are like this and it’s horrible. Almost everyone has known about the horrible diet restrictions idols have had to go through but because of the new allegations against JYPE division in America is definitely putting them in the spotlight. But we do need to remember that they are not the only ones who do this. Either way not matter what company, this is absolutely devastating and unfortunately won’t change anytime soon but I hope I’m wrong.
No one is saying that JYPE is the only one, but a lot of people have always praised Jype for being the “least problematic big company” that’s why it was time to open people eyes and make them realize that JYPE is no any different from any other big company. And I said it as a person that mostly stan JYPE artists, I despise this company like all the other big companies.
Don't you guys think that "anxiety" is used as an euphemism for "depression" ? Because anxiety sounds like something the idol is suffering from due to their own brain malfunctioning, so it's not as bad as depression. Depression can be caused by your environnement, such as stressful work environnement, significant repeated lack of sleep, and other things the agency is guitly of. Also because as someone who has anxiety, I know you don't just "heal" from it after some rest. It's something that's always there and you have to learn how to live with it.
AND people thing that JYP is one of the best company there is no good company in the big 3 and Hybe all of them are bad i feel bad for all of this idols
tbh when people say that they usually talk about ceos. when these scandals come out ceos are in them but when it comes to jype it's not jyp himself but rather about the company. jype artist even love their ceo and always hang out with him. i think that man needs to fire his whole company and hire better staff.

2,,The claim that the high suicide rate of K-pop idols is due to abuse by the company //The period of severe oppression and control is the trainee period, not after debut,,The first group of male and female groups with good grades or popularity are always busy after debut, and the second group is only a little busy with activities,,The rest of them are very leisurely,,Idols after debut Stress or depression can lead to suicide because of low popularity and not being able to make money, but the number of cases of suicide during the idol's active period is very low, and it is said to be similar to the suicide rate of the general public. The reason why debuted idols are busy is because they make a lot of money, and in fact, there are almost no suicides in popular groups that make a lot of money, and in other groups, suicides are probably due to depression. Even if they commit suicide, the reason is not abuse,,,
i would like to add that toxic fan culture also adds fuel to the fire... making reforms in the contracts and within companies will be a huge step, but it will seem innefective if toxic fans keep going the way they go, like body shaming idols, malicious comments, mobbing and so on
on the other hand cant blame jyp. people will always go for the looks and body first above anything else. thats just harsh reality in life whether we like it or not.
I know people working 3 jobs, getting verbally abused by customers daily, and don't make millions of dollars per year. Relax people. It's not as bad as the real, everyday work world.
@ I don’t like any of the companies but JYP is pushing the dieting so hard. I see what you’re saying but I simply cannot stand for someone who starves their idols to meet beauty standards 😔
If you had sense you would distinguish that the same new jeans have claimed hybe mistreat them while the things they mentioned don't even amount to the things that are shared in this video. New jeans have it easy as compared to every idol mentioned in this video. So, I think hybe is still better in that regard
@@littleflower6575 which minor? If they were such minors they wouldn't have auditioned. Hybe didn't get them out of their houses, also their parents consented to them going for training. They have said mistreatment they got was being ignored by another group. So how is that amounting to someone who is denied food or who is forced to perform the type of music that put them in a bad light? Stop making hybe like the evil of the industry, they all are atleast hybe never denied idols their basic need
@@malefuelizabethramatelile2631Trying to put the responsibility on the members is wild by the way. In that case every idol deserve to be mistreated because they choose this job, it's a bad argument. And being ignored is probably just a piece of the problem nobody sue an entreprise just for that
I think BECAUSE korean idols show such complacency towards these harmful conditions and just accept it as it is, is why the industry might benefit from having more western kpop idols. They need more people who aren't afraid to ruffle some feathers and take a stand to protect themselves from this abuse. How else will this industry progress in the right direction?
This is really hurtful that idols work hard to maintain good relationships with their fans but these fans failed them....a true fandom should support them at their opinions and help them to work with comfort not work with pressure of maintaining this so called diet culture that is ruining idols health
it honestly pisses me off to hear ppl say it's a cultural divide because that's not something to be proud of at all??? are you proud that your country normalizes kids working themselves near death just because? do you think western countries are dumb for having child labor laws and caring about their well being? it's not about korean trainees being stronger or western ones being weaker, but that nowhere else in the world condones the kind of insane work/school-life balance that korea does
yes i do think they are dumb for letting untalented people in the industry and not making them work hard. also America lets young people in for looks but because of them not making them go on diets the american artists get hate.
This breaks my heart 😢 years ago I didn't know anything about kpop or kdramas and I found bts save me video and I have been addicted to the genre of music and culture since.. I never knew how hard they have to wrk or what they go thru until becoming a fan of the music and artists it breaks my heart what they go thru and what they have to sacrifice 😢 just so sad
KG'S lawsuit is very valid she wins hands down, I don't like the claims abuse is a crime but, the timing is very strange AUGUST was the perfect time for her lawsuit the early the better, it has to be in a TWICE comeback on a Thursday and Friday was the lawsuit, back last JANUARY everyone was angry that they open for TWICE even as 5 they let them perform and they were awesome but if you're being groomed to be the next TWICE, the greatest challenge ever, this comes to finances but it will be settled show business is corrupt in any culture, we need to hear from the other 5 first week of JANUARY 2025 since its the holidays
It seems like it’s not just JYP that these are issues, many companies do the same and/or other such troubling acts when it comes to their idols. At the end of the day idols sign contracts. It’s just sad how beauty standards are so high in Korea especially as an idol.
2-1,,,It is hard to find someone who committed suicide during their trainee days,,However, there is an incident where a male trainee is presumed to have committed suicide after being eliminated from the debut group,,The greatest stress or shock for a trainee is when they fail to debut and are pushed out in the middle,,Since trainees' goal is to debut, their motivation to commit suicide is very low,,, If a trainee commits suicide, their psychology is unstable, so they give up on lessons, and the company eliminates them or drops out before that,,, If a trainee's mental state is ruined, they leave the company before that,,,, Among idols or celebrities, suicide usually occurs after they retire from active service. In this case, it is usually due to depression or panic disorder caused by loss of popularity or criticism from malicious fans, Goo Hara and Sulli are representative examples.
In K-pop, the reason why idols have to comply with the company's unreasonable demands or instructions // 1,,This is because the company provides the funds for their training and debut,,Idols are just performers,,All rights belong to the company,,,Idols share the profits with the company,,, If an idol wants to reject the company's instructions and do as they please, they can start their own company, take lessons with their own funds, and debut.,,This is the American way, but this American way has failed.,,, In the case of a dispute between KG and the company, if they feel that the company's demands are unreasonable, they can just leave the company and give up being an idol, or they can work as a singer in a company they created with their own funds.,,
JYPE, HYPE, YG SM, etc. are companies that have to make money. They don't train idols as charity. No one is forced to be in the company. There is no doubt that it is hard work, but no one is forced to do it. eg where are KG's parents? she is 17 years old now. thus minor. and quite frankly, whether we like it or not, there is a difference in how we work in the different countries/parts of the world. The USA is known for suing everything and everyone. It's not their fault, it's everyone else's, so they've also got a brain they can use. South Korea must fight for their rights, it is not up to you or me. What we can choose is whether we want to follow these idols or not. Fans are so double standards, do they want to attend comebacks, concerts, shows, etc. No... so fans are just as much into this. It's the Idols themselves too, they want to be famous, but we blame the companies when we think they look tired, etc. I simply don't believe they haven't had food, they're not idiots. They were probably not allowed to drink cola, eat cake, sweets, etc. and had to stick to a strict healthy diet. JYPE embraces organic food, etc. and with all that activity I would lose weight pretty quickly. JYPE is not a bad company, you can hear that from their groups. but it is a company (like all other companies) that wants to make money. Then it will suit people to stop using idols' hit status and what they have to deal with, for example Han Jisung's anxiety, so something that is JYPE's fault. it's abusing the idols nobody knows anything about
These two systems are the exact opposite// 1,,,the abuse that Americans talk about is not considered abuse in Korea, and even more so in East Asia,,,in East Asia/Korea, they actually work or study like K-pop trainees,,,the older generation forces them to do this,,,,,they are the ones who have lived that way since the older generation,,, Americans can have such a social life,,but that is limited to countries like the US,,countries other than the US cannot develop by doing things the American way,,,
What’s disturbing about the VCHA case is that I’ve read so many comments from Koreans stating westerners can’t handle the K pop system. So in other words, starvation, eating disorders, mental health problems and thought or even actions to unalive oneself is considered normal. I think idols aren’t even seen as humans in South Korea, more like they are Gods or something else otherworldly. It’s gotten to the point where idols unaliving themselves isn’t surprising anymore because it happens so often. Companies treat their idols like this because they know that’s what their main consumer base, South Korea, wants. I think the societal sickness runs deep.
the thing we should also realise is that maybe there are relatively a lot of JYP artists taking breaks due to mental health issues because JYP 'allows' it. I bet there are MANY other companies that treat their artist just as bad/worse but they will simply not let the artist take the break that's just as hardly needed
I’m really sick of bad companies abusing their idols. The biggest abusers have been the top 4. SM, YG, HYBE and JYP. I knew of SM abuses back in 2015. I loved their idol groups as a kid. But the slave contract, the blacklisting, and inhumane treatment of their idols put me off. I really thought JYP was different cause I haven’t heard of any issues. But I think they are all bad. Just because I don’t know doesn’t mean there’s nothing bad is happening. Abuse happens behind closed doors. This pisses me off cause I want to support the actual artist not the dang company. I really like the message the SKZ is sending.
I don't think it's a "western/ eastern issue" cause if you look a little deeper, these subjects have been raised by korean artists too. All BAP members sued their agency. Luhan, Tao and Kris of EXO all sued SM Entertainement, for unfair contracts and repeated mistreatements and won their case. Ex-idols like Daisy from Momoland revealed on her youtube the terrible treatment she received, same with Crayon pop "way" who spoke of the hardships of idol life in an "Asian Boss" video.
The built-in characteristics of the American-style singer training system // 1,,KATSEYE was originally created by HYBE through auditions only in the United States,, meaning that they were pursuing members composed of pure Americans,,, but failed,, the reason being that the skills of the applicants recruited that way were too lacking,, so HYBE changed direction to auditions from all over the world,,, and that is how KATSEYE, a global girl group, was created,,,,,
No they aren’t, stop workshipping these big companies, they don’t care about idols, they only care about money, you don’t know these people, they are rich millionaires that would do everything to earn money
2-1,,, especially many K-pop fans in Western society are pressuring K-pop to abandon the Korean style and adopt the American style,,, but executives and employees of Korean entertainment companies all know well,,, abandoning the Korean style and introducing the American style = the collapse,,, of the K-pop industry. The only answer to this problem is for Americans and Europeans to simply abandon consuming or watching K-pop,,, I haven't found any other solution yet.
If they decide to stick in pop music industry 1.Savannah is actually ready now to be pop singer 2.Camilla-in 2 years all rounder actress, model, singer 3.KG, a soloist that's a lot of candidates, in a group setting a QUEEN, as a soloist now,not really 4.the other 3 Asian girls will be absorbed by k-pop and j-pop, mainstream pop music not really but KENDALL EBELING is the key here,KG is the glue is the glue to VCHA but KENDALL EBELING goes further from all 6 of them they found a STAR which is not easy to do
they can go in the american industry, where they let them be lazy and let untalented people join the industry. the kpop industry described with few words would be that they make them work hard. that should be what everybody goes through.
I love Kg, don't be afraid to call out Jyp Entertainment, this is too much, it's strange, stupid, weird, and unbelievable to see that the leading entertainment company in South Korea is mistreating it's idols, and BTW I don't careeeeee if this is part of the harsh realities etc......., this is wrong
You can Yap All You Want STILL These IDOLS are still WORKING at JYPE and are SUCCESSFUL except that former Trainee. IU and WOOJIN are Doing Well in their Own Agencies aswell. KG is WESTERN, even though she got trained by Koreans for a period of time, its too short and its just a tip of a huge iceberg. SHE WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THE TRAINING PROCESS OF KOREAN AS IT IS CULTURAL. That's one thing that WESTERNS will NEVER GOING TO UNDERSTAND, there is a REASON KPOP is BUILT for KOREANS. Its their Culture, outsider trying desperately to fit in to that industry will fail as it is a HUGE CHANGE from their culture. It will take a toll on their Physical and Mental Health. So Many Attempted and Failed. Turn it the other way around Put a Korean in Western Industry and aee how they got depressed by the overwhelming process of being an artists in western industry. KG Tried to Shake JYPE USA but at the End of the Day, she enter the industry voluntary. She wants to taste the world of kpop, there you go.
Doesn’t mean it should be justified or normalized. And of course they’re still working there, if they stopped, imagine all that hard work and pain for nothing as well as hate. Kpop isn’t built for “Koreans” as Kpop itself copied western culture, hip hop, American training in the 1990- early 2000s . Even Korean trainees say how hard as well as parents not really wanting their kids to become idols for all the bad in the community. That’s why most Korean artists try to go into western countries because it’s more laid back and not as strict, nor deadly. Do NOT try to justify this because it can be better.
You're right. however, I think westerners can do it if they research what they will have to do and if they have a strong passion for K-pop as a whole. Edit: I don't think KG did that lol
I hope yg is good in treating their idols i never heard extreme diet or too busy schedule for their artists , their only problem is not giving comeback and freedom to their idols ❤❤❤
2,, Let's take a look at the American style solo singer training structure. This means that singers/musicians who are already complete are contracted by a record company and come out into the world,,,, How many cases are there where singers have excellent skills without systematic lessons over a long period of time??? It's a very small number,,, but the US, including Canada, has a population of 370 million, so this is possible,,,, that's because of the huge population, while Korea has a population of 51 million,,, the secret to K-pop's current success with a small population is nothing more than effort,,, even KATSEYE is ambiguous as an American pop girl group,,, in other words, HYBE should be evaluated as a failure within the American base,,
stray kids should just go lable under bahng entertainment and stray kids just released ATE then GIANT and then they JUST released HOP all in like months i feel bad for them and i just heard 3racha's song 42 which is really sad
2,,,Idols who are trained in the American way, such as 6 hours of lessons a day, or who are trained and spent their days, will probably give up and disband in the middle.,,,This is because they have low skills and lack patience, so they often abandon the team and drop out.,,, They are thoroughly trained in the music market and have strong It is a clear fact that Korean girl groups with mental and physical strength and these people have to compete, but they lose in the competition,, and then the company goes bankrupt due to a huge amount of debt.
Personally i think the hiatuses are a good thing. Its good that JYPe let rest idols who need it. Except for YG idols whose whole career is one huge hiatus no one gives their idols any breaks and I don't believe they don't need one. They all are on extreme diets and schedules. None of their weights look healthy.
3. Are K-pop idols exploited by the company?? // Popular idol groups earn enormous profits compared to the intensity of labor, they earn hundreds of times more than ordinary office workers, so they are not exploited or exploited. On the other hand, unpopular idols hardly work and spend most of their time playing after taking a few lessons or practicing. 3.. Modern Korean society and culture is an extremely competitive structure and only pursues victory,,, This is a structure where the winner dominates the loser by winning the competition, and this is a military culture,,, Now China has imported this and is almost doing the same,,, So are Koreans originally like that? We (and the Chinese at the same time) are your The reason why they reject and fear the values of their country is based on our historical experiences in the past,,
Let's be honest here, although it isn't good it is normal in the kpop industry... jype might seem worse with all of these infos. But believe me the other labels has done even worse than what jype does... I dont think the anxiety of jype idols is about the diet thing... I think its about having a good performance on stage... remember when jype made the itzy members cry during a song recording? Or when they were practicing dalla dalla and jyp was their watching them?... i'm not defending kpop labels about this diet thing but this issue's root is the stup!d korean beauty standards and those knetz who criticizes the idols with more weight... we cant do anything about that diet thing unless the kbs changes... for those aspiring idols who wants to debut in korean ent. Industry you must know that this unhealthy things is a part of that industry that as long as kbs is unchanged it will continue to be the same even if how many complains or lawsuits these idols have... if you can't comply with all those required things of this industry then you should not have entered it in the first place... before entering or starting something you must always have a research of the pros and cons of it and decide whether you can push through....
This, as much as we all know all companies have their downfalls it's crazy how people are blaming individual companies when it's the whole industry that's at fault. Yes artists should be healthy to keep up with their schedules but maintaining unrealistic and unhealthy beauty standards set by the country itself is no okay. Kpop fans should know these things are part of the industry and that's what we should be fighting to change the industry as a whole

Exactly my thoughts. MONEY is what is driving these companies, NOT anything or anyone else.
More like the standard chicken/fish, rice, and vegetable diets that many people choose to go on to build muscle and reduce body fat the healthy way, so the body still has all the nutrients it needs.
typical inetz always trying to find a reason to hate this genre but still want to use its popularity for clout.
Don't forget the American companies they are still doing the same thing especially with the models
Korea’s lookism is rooted in the culture very deeply. Abuse like harsh diets are not thought as abuse but a part of the jobs.

It's also funny, that when JYPE giving breaks by allowing hiatus for their artists, some influencers actually only care about how many the "hiatus" cases are.

Not only company fans does the same too.
Fans are a big part of it yes but who allows the behavior of said fans to continue? They consistently double down by backing up and supporting the FANS over the idols needs.

Being an idol is hard, companies are not angels, but JYPE started the practice of giving their idols a break because of their mental health. There's a long list of this kind of hiatuses in JYPE because they have that option, a lot of other companies don't give it and idols work despite their mental health problems.

2-1,,,It is hard to find someone who committed suicide during their trainee days,,However, there is an incident where a male trainee is presumed to have committed suicide after being eliminated from the debut group,,The greatest stress or shock for a trainee is when they fail to debut and are pushed out in the middle,,Since trainees' goal is to debut, their motivation to commit suicide is very low,,,
If a trainee commits suicide, their psychology is unstable, so they give up on lessons, and the company eliminates them or drops out before that,,, If a trainee's mental state is ruined, they leave the company before that,,,,
Among idols or celebrities, suicide usually occurs after they retire from active service. In this case, it is usually due to depression or panic disorder caused by loss of popularity or criticism from malicious fans, Goo Hara and Sulli are representative examples.
In K-pop, the reason why idols have to comply with the company's unreasonable demands or instructions //
1,,This is because the company provides the funds for their training and debut,,Idols are just performers,,All rights belong to the company,,,Idols share the profits with the company,,,
If an idol wants to reject the company's instructions and do as they please, they can start their own company, take lessons with their own funds, and debut.,,This is the American way, but this American way has failed.,,,
In the case of a dispute between KG and the company, if they feel that the company's demands are unreasonable, they can just leave the company and give up being an idol, or they can work as a singer in a company they created with their own funds.,,
JYPE, HYPE, YG SM, etc. are companies that have to make money. Then it will suit people to stop using idols' hit status and what they have to deal with, for example Han Jisung's anxiety, so something that is JYPE's fault. it's abusing the idols nobody knows anything about
The famous in the West also have lots of problems like drugs, suicide diseases and they also have companies like us making money from them
These two systems are the exact opposite//
1,,,the abuse that Americans talk about is not considered abuse in Korea, and even more so in East Asia,,,in East Asia/Korea, they actually work or study like K-pop trainees,,,the older generation forces them to do this,,,,,they are the ones who have lived that way since the older generation,,,
Americans can have such a social life,,but that is limited to countries like the US,,countries other than the US cannot develop by doing things the American way,,,
What’s disturbing about the VCHA case is that I’ve read so many comments from Koreans stating westerners can’t handle the K pop system.

Isn’t this ALL of the K-pop companies and not js JYP?
If someone is a kpop idol, then they wouldn’t literally go to school.
Most idols have college degrees.
They treat their idols and Trainees as slaves.
i don't understnad why these companies never accept there harsh treaments towards idols for once.
seokjin ate only chicken breast for a year...
JYP. ITZY are 4gen leaders how could you do that to these girls
Comeback after comback after comeback, they are working like a slave, then this company is so strict in terms of dieting.
Thank God my boys letf💚
who are my boys? good thing they left because they knew they couldn't handle it
@@Tahitian_Cats-45 I think Got7
Im talking about Got7, they've been through a lot of mistreatments back in the days
The built-in characteristics of the American-style singer training system //
1,,KATSEYE was originally created by HYBE through auditions only in the United States,, meaning that they were pursuing members composed of pure Americans,,, but failed,, the reason being that the skills of the applicants recruited that way were too lacking,, so HYBE changed direction to auditions from all over the world,,, and that is how KATSEYE, a global girl group, was created,,,,,
i never stop being so shocked that they have to diet when theyre already SO THIN ,not only that but they dance for hours a daay???
They are a good company, expect for diets 😅

They deserve better my boys
They have the best conditions they could have in this industry. Stop deluding yourself
You Stays genuinely need mental help I'm not even joking.
If they decide to stick in pop music industry
1.Savannah is actually ready now to be pop singer
2.Camilla-in 2 years all rounder actress, model,singer
3.KG, a soloist that's a lot of candidates, in a group setting a QUEEN, as a soloist now,not really
4.the other 3 Asian girls will be absorbed by k-pop and j-pop, mainstream pop music not really but KENDALL EBELING is the key here,KG is the glue is the glue to VCHA but KENDALL EBELING goes further from all 6 of them they found a STAR which is not easy to do
they can go in the american industry, where they let them be lazy and let untalented people join the industry. the kpop industry described with few words would be that they make them work hard. that should be what everybody goes through.
“Its not a piece of cake”

Its a piece of cake cake cake cake cake

2,,,Idols who are trained in the American way, such as 6 hours of lessons a day, or who are trained and spent their days, will probably give up and disband in the middle.,,,This is because they have low skills and lack patience, so they often abandon the team and drop out.,,,
They are thoroughly trained in the music market and have strong It is a clear fact that Korean girl groups with mental and physical strength and these people have to compete, but they lose in the competition,, and then the company goes bankrupt due to a huge amount of debt.
It is estimated that unpopular idols have many complaints because they can't make money even after becoming idols.
why international jyp stans don’t speak about the niziu mistreatment after what they did to rio and miihi back then
most of these ppl getting mad JYPE and other entertainment companies are also *_those people who are the REASON why these companies go beyond with their "rules_* because it's easy for them to CRITICIZE OTHERS than to criticize their own imperfections ✌🏻🥴
Its hilarious especially just a few days ago, some big fans of JYP defended the company by them being “Humane” entertainment. I guess that didnt age well
Sure, cuz there are some other agenda to cover, some people wants to make use of this problem as long as possible, so other agency can take care of their problem just fine, quietly.
3:04 mistranslation, btw
If they dont go for dieting once they on public people will bodyshaming them more harsh. Remember how Suzy back then.
It doesn’t make it right
Welcome to kpop culture where is kpop system is harsh and im not talking about jype only but all companies in kpop just same.
3.. Modern Korean society and culture is an extremely competitive structure and only pursues victory,,, This is a structure where the winner dominates the loser by winning the competition, and this is a military culture,,, Now China has imported this and is almost doing the same,,, So are Koreans originally like that? No,,,,, It was the complete opposite,,,, Korea was dominated by the current American or European values 140 years ago,,,, Then, including Korea, experienced the current Third World being conquered and dominated by Europe and Japan 300 years ago,,, and the values of Koreans have changed dramatically,, The values of Koreans now are probably the same as the Mongol Empire 600 years ago or the Europeans of the Age of Exploration 300 years ago.
@@teenieweeniemimie sad to say we cant argue about this unless the standards changes
