I am loving season 2. I've read the light novels and I was worried about season2 when I heard a different studio was picking it up, however they've done a fantastic job staying true to the original work and visualizing these awesome moments.

well, they skipped a lot of details from the light novels, so I wouldn't consider season 2 really good, but they didn't to bad either, so it was decent.
I don't think Tatsuya would still die from that. The eidos copy will still interfere as long as Tatsuya's magic isn't extinguished entirely. That's also why the Yotsuba fear him and wants to restrain him as Miyuki's bodyguard, until their aunt found a better way by just having him marry Miyuki and become head of Yotsuba, hence trying to bind him forever to the clan.
It's not like that much if difference tatsuya is definitely stronger but if lina had hit his head instead of his arm he would be dead she deliberately miss it because she don't want to kill him
In order to stand a chance against him she took the magician's equivalent of a tactical nuke to use against one man albeit that man was Tatsuya and with even a microsecond more time it would have been useless against him. Tatsuya's solution to fodder is to just thanos them. If he didn't care about Lina he could have just did that here
To be honest, Lina is pretty strong, she could easily be top 5 in the story, but unfortunately, she always fought on disadvantage... ...in this case, her disadvantge was that her opponent was Tatsuya
To tell the truth Lina did put up a decent fight against him despite without prior information, I think even fellow strategic class magicians cannot put up a fight the way lina did, the only disadvantage lina has is she stall too much time where it enables tatsuya to analyze her abilities. The only ones that can truly make him serious is someone like his aunt or those who know him and his capabilities like his martial arts and combat teacher, even so they would likely die in a life and death scenario but atleast they could put enough damage that would make tatsuya reconsider before fighting. Though I say this in the end tatsuya only cares about his sister well being, as long as shes not in danger he overlook some things, she can also defeat him in a hypothetical scenario.
I don't think he's serious in this fight, he only bring his personal CAD, not a Military Level CAD while Lina literally bring a SSS Legendary Weapon from her Country Unbalance fight unless Tatsuya Bring his new Bullet from Movie to neutralize Brionac or just his full suit But anyway he can just erase lina before she can even put her face in front of Tatsuya Sight

It's also because she actually cares for Tatsuya. She wants him to surrender so she doesn't have to go against her orders as well as keep him alive. It's well explained in the novels how conflicted she is. The anime does a good job as well though.
Brionac allows the casting for Heavy Metal Burst to be used as a spear head in close range, it also is easier to cast in this manner as she is using the CAD it was designed for giving greater control and a decrease to Cast Time. Brionac used in this manner is faster than Tatsuya's Dispersion cast time of less than one second (Mainly cause she was casting whilst he waited for it), but that was mainly cause he was holding back tbh. This is kinda like Tatsuya casting Material Burst Flash Cast or using the Third Eye. Material Burst and HMB have low requirements for Stategic Class Magics as in they can be applied to a variety of Situations unlike Abyss which requires large bodies of water. But is limited when cast without the proper equipment. If this was a real mission from either the Yotsuba or 101 he would have just used Trident on her as soon as she popped into his sight, like he did in Yokohama instantly deleting her or just launching Material Burst at the Stars Military Base as doing Either would cause war. As Trident is designed to get rid of Data Fortification Shields, Zone Interference and Material Bodies and we know it works on Parade as she got immobalised by it. Also don't forget he was still limited by Miyuki for this fight forcing him to not be able to use his more powerful magics like Material Burst or Dispersion as quickly as he normally can. And the fact he isn't equipped properly normally he would be using a Variable Suit for protection and defense instead of just a coat with no magical defenses what so ever as normally Reinforcement Spells can be applied to amour to increase protectiveness against firearms and blunt attacks. Lina could have won by using Brionac on his head which would have killed him instantly if he didn't prepare for that by prepping regrowth immediately (or Contact Type Gram Dispersion/Demolition but he doesn't know they exist until range zero is introduced). She chose to go with a restraining movement as she figured that if Tatsuya truly was a Strateigic Class Magician than that could cause nuclear war with Japan and the 10 Clans which strike fear even overseas. Also she liked him as a friend and decided to restrain him not knowing about Regrowth or Dispersion really and thought it was a copied Molecular Divider Spell. That the Japanese had got hold of somehow, the last time she saw it, instead of Demon Left which is a Japanese Folk Tale about the Mahesvara or Shiva.
Like the anime, but honestly the story telling where a guy is repeatedly shot at, stabbed and even has his arm ripped off, but doesn't get really mad at the girl as she is somewhat cute is beyond old and fake. Using regrowth needs to copy and rewrite the current eidos but inorder to copy the eidos he needs to read all the stored information regarding the eidos including the victim's pain. Probably Tatsuya already used to the pain because he already used it many times during the Yokohama Disturbance Arc and probably during the Battle at Onkinawa 3 years prior to the story.

So if he healed someone who was in a condition for 30-60 seconds, he will feel that pain about 150-300 times worse than the pain itself within a minute seconds. In the ln it was shown that there was someone who had an injury an hour prior to Tatsuya meeting up. Whenever he casted regrowth on the individual, he felt pain 10,000 times greater than the person who was injured. Now, you're not wrong at all when you say that "he does have emotions, but all of them pale in relation to his sister." But it's not just that, his emotions are specifically set in a way that it's at such a minimum that it is more like a "show." Meaning that it is displayed as if it is to not to be noticed in a piercing way. He lost his emotional freedom, his only emotions is truly dealing with Miyuki. He can't even marry/date someone else because his emotions truly can't hold it. Spoilers if you want to know* - He actually marries/proposes to Miyuki, who is his Fiancee in Volume 16. While most people will say it is disgusting, to an extent it is actually fine because of the modifications both Tatsuya AND Miyuki endured. Because of the modifications they're literally not "related" in those terms. They can have an infant/child and there will be 0 birth defects. It would be as if they were not born from the same mother.

Tatsuya Vs Ichijou was a stage battle with neither using any spells with lethal ranking and only going for restraining attacks. Tatsuya himself didn't use any detectable cheats and only was allowed use oscillation magic and gram demolition. This fight was a no holds barred death match between two strategic class magicians and yeah its not as dynamic as this one. But that is mainly Tatsuya's and Lina's fighting style of one shotting most opponents using Dispersion or HMB but again Tatsuya is holding back as he could just execute her immediately if he wanted from anywhere in the country.
