A highly-ranked middleweight bout between Darren Till and Jack Hermansson will headline a UFC Fight Night on Dec. 5. Both sides have agreed to the matchup, per sources, and early signs indicate Darren Till should be ready to go. The 27-year-old tore his MCL during a narrow decision loss to Robert Whittaker on Fight Island 3, but has avoided surgery. Once official, the 185-pound contest will headline UFC Fight Night at a location to be determined.
A former welterweight title challenger, Darren “The Gorilla” Till (18-3-1) has proven he belongs among the top middleweights in the world through two fights in the division. He defeated former title challenger Kelvin Gastelum via unanimous decision in his 185-pound debut last November at UFC 244. Last month, his five-round main event against a former champion in Whittaker went down to the wire.
Jacl “The Joker” Hermansson (21-5) is coming off a first-round submission win over Kelvin Gastelum on July 18. The Norwegian/Swedish middleweight was on the cusp of title contention last year after winning six of seven before he suffered a TKO loss to the surging Jared Cannonier. Jack Hermansson has recorded finishes in six of his eight UFC victories.

Darren till can beat anyone, he’s good enough, he just needs to have better game plan execution in some of these matchups. He’s letting counter punchers do their thing. His also needs to get surgery on his knee so he has all his power
