It happens a lot. For that recipe it’s fine. A lot of homemade ice cream uses condensed milk and sugar because condensed milk is mainly used to keep the texture.
Hmm my mum say if you put a condensed milk NEVER PUT SUGAR because it can be over sweet and MAYBE GET DIABETIS
