I've worn Oakley's since the 90s and they're great glasses . I'm stoked that awesome models are coming out and customizing them are more affordable 👍😎🤘
Oh, you make it look so easy and you are so so confident the way you handle your Oakley's, Honestly! I pick up my Oakley's more carefully than I pick up my children 😉 thank for the tutorial.
So glad I checked this video out swapped my live strong yellow for grey did just as you said perfect even put a bit of soap on frame lugs to make that process easier, thank you.
Thank you for posting this. I was struggling with getting the earsock back onto my Oakley Juliet... it took 10 minutes dry compared to 10 seconds with a little soap and water.
The Quarter Jacket arms are not meant to be removed but they can be snapped into and out of place if need be. If you need more help, contact one of our certified opticians here: www.sportrx.com/contact
Braydon Goodnough Yes, The process is very similar. You don’t have to take the temples off since there is only on section of Unobtainium so it should be even easier. You can but the extra socks from Oakley directly. Cheers, The SportRx Team
After I removed the ear stems and cleaned all the gunk off them (there was a lot and it was disgusting) I just dipped the stems right into a bottle of alcohol and dripped a bit down each ear sock and they slid on with zero effort. We'll see if it affects the plastic, but I seriously doubt it will...
This saved me so much time and pain lol. I have 2 pairs of these and the first I muscled on there and I was like there’s got to be a better way… if only I used my noggin and checked yt first my hands wouldn’t be all cramped up lol.
Hey Dave! We would be happy to help change the temples for you. Please give us a call in and our opticians can let you know where to send the frame and temples :)
A more correct method to remove arms is: - hold the front piece [the part that holds the lenses] near the joint - grasp the arm near the joint - twist the arm 'inward' so that the top of the arm is pulled out of the joint
That certainly makes sense! There is even a little indentation near the hinge 'seat' to make that motion easier. Thank you for your feedback and for sharing that method!
Much simpler process than I’d seen on other videos - got both changed before the video was over!! Thanks!!
Glad to hear it!

Juliets - nice!
Had to get them off eBay to make them somewhat affordable lol.
This video is 8yrs old and still helped me out. I wasn't sure if the arm was held in by a pin or what. Learned I just need to "break" them out.
Hi could you do a video for the radar ev path ? I have a loss arm :(
HI! It's essentially the same process🤙
Thank you, your help made it very easy to change my earsocks
Can the arms on the quarter jackets be removed this way? Thanks.

Thanks..just wonder if it's worth running the risk of breaking them.
In our opinion it is not. Especially if you have had the frame for a while.
Cheers Rob....just ave me the confidence to fix the arm back onto my Holbrook prizms!!!
Hi Rob! Glad we could help you out!
Can you change the ear socks on radars??
Braydon Goodnough Yes,

HI Steven! Unfortunately, Oakley only sells the complete frame for the Flak XLJ model.
How much are the frame send me a picture
AWESOME VIDEO i wished i found it years ago
Thank you for the love Russell! Were happy to hear the video provided useful information for you :)
Don't put too much pressure when taking off the sides! I made mine loose when they open and close
I love you thank youuuu
No problem 😊
u helped me fix my oaks thxks
No problem! Thanks for tuning in!
Awesome
KY jelly works better than soap and water and is more water soluble. astroglide works well. The stuff that warms when you blow on it.
Agreed. Works on the Oakleys too
OMG TYSM I BROKE MY SUTROS AND I DIDNT KNOW HOW TO GET MY EAR PIECE BACK ON
Glad we could help!
I tried to do this with my $250 custom flak jacket xlj's and broke one of the hinge pieces, wish I wouldn't have tried... Sad day.
ROB HYPE
I used a cordon ball with alcohol and didn’t have to take them off at all
I saw this video after doing one side and thinking there had to be a better way. It was 10x as tough putting them on dry.
Yes, using the soap is absolutely the key!
am scared to take off the temple it might break but id like to change my temple 😔

How are there no comments about his watch?
Hahah good question!
5:18 RIP HEADSET AND USER!
My dad broke the temples on his so I’m worried about doing it with mine
Not very good explaining how to remove arm
I used Vaseline.
Don't put it in dry got it
Not good. There is a correct way to remove sides/arms from these glasses. The method demonstrated here is not correct.
We love feedback! What method would be correct?
A more correct method to remove arms is:
- hold the front piece [the part that holds the lenses] near the joint
- grasp the arm near the joint
- twist the arm 'inward' so that the top of the arm is pulled out of the joint
