@@Mr.Pants45Yes, he is one of the best disc golfers of all time, so what. It's NOT about his accomplishments, it's about Ricky as a person. Just like with Nikko - it's not a good look for the sport. He's much better than Nikko, so people give him a pass. I have talked to Ricky a couple times. He's very nice as long as you let him talk, or butter up his ego. Over the last 43 years I have played disc golf, I have met some of the best to play the game. Most of them are humble people (humility is a good trait to have), but there is always a few that can't get over themselves.
@martingriggs9865 I get your point but if you're a pro disc golfer and someone comes up to talk to you, they're probably thinking fans are doing so to talk about them, not the fans or some other random subject. And I used to hate Nikko and he is a brat sometimes but he also pays the first FPO player to not cash if Ryan is playing and cashes. Character isn't one dimensional, and we're all learning and trying everyday. Again, if you're taking a swipe at Ricky because he talks about himself maybe too much to fans who approach him on a disc golf course, it says more about you than him. That's all I'm saying

Ricky motioning for the crowd to cheer for him followed by perhaps the most self praising interview that I have ever seen in any sport outside the WWE. Not one word about anyone but himself. The statement "hit some big puts, like I do" made me cringe. He used the words: I, me and my collectively 21 times in 58 seconds. Geez! It's not just me. I also read somewhere that God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
