I have just picked up the book and immediately slipped into the mind of the flawed character of Cassie. Made a quick pause and wanted to check what you have to say about the book if you have read it that is. I am glad you did and also glad to hear it out, now more eager to go through it. It is my first pick of Chris Bohjalian, knowing that I have his previous titles; "The Sleepwalker" and "The Guest Room" still waiting on my to-read shelf. Please do tell about those two other books, what do you think of them compared to this "The Flight Attendant" Good job I have to add here Beth. I have been recently following your videos, and it's fair to say here that they are nothing short of amazing. Keep up the good work.
Wow, thank you so much! I'm glad you're enjoying The Flight Attendant. It's really difficult to compare the other books to this one because Bohjalian is so good at creating vastly different, well-researched settings. I enjoyed The Sleepwalker quite a bit. It went in a different direction than I thought it would. It was sort of a quietly melancholy book. The Guest Room...I liked it a bit less. Still an excellent book, but it oddly reminded me of Reefer Madness - one wrong step and all of these crazy worst-case scenarios happen. Still worth a read - let me know what you think once you read it. Another great entry is Midwives.
I did, years ago. You know, they’re so different that it’s hard to even think of how to compare them. The main character in The Flight Attendant is so flawed that it’s hard to put her up next to the daughter in Midwives. Midwives is prob a bit more atmospheric and thoughtful, while Flight goes deeper into the character herself and adds intrigue.
Hi Beth. I am unfamiliar with this author and your discussion of his book sounds like something I would like to read because I love to get completely lost in a book. I will definetly check him out . Thanks.
Good morning Beth... sounds like a great book, i will definitly check it when it comes out.
Thanks, Edu! It’s definitely one to read.
I couldn't put it down, I admit it!

Read Remark I’ll keep it in mind. Thanks again for a very objective preview(s) and recommendations
Have you read Bohjalian's book "Midwives"? How does it compare to "The Flight Attendent"?

Thanks! Another book you might like by him is Midwives. It follows a trial when a midwife’s patient dies.
Thank you for the recommendation, I will look for it at the library.
