Student demonstrations in the late 60's saved my ass from a front row seat in the Vietnam War. My father was undercover taking pictures of the demonstrators for DOJ and told me those demonstrators would be identified as such their entire lives. I am now a Trump leaning conservative but, I am siding with the woke student demonstrators . Hopefully we can find more common ground in the future/!

Wow man. First off American troops fought Nam, American troops are not fighting in Gaza. Nixon and Kissinger developed a cease-fire deal between America, South Vietnam and North Vietnam. Everyone signed it, America went home. America was the only one to honor that deal. The war went on and Saigon fell. The war was over because of that. It wasn't just because of protests. Not saying it didn't open some eyes, but that wasn't the sole reason for American withdrawal. Same thing may happen with Ukraine, South Korea and Taiwan. The protesting now isn't gonna change anything. America held back arms supply to Israel and it's Israel's fight. Not ours. We as well as many others tried to discourage it but they don't want to hear it.

Over my 75 yrs living and experiencing wars commencing with Vietnam through to the current global conflicts; as much as protesting goes, both on the streets and campuses, they make known to politicians, and respective governments the discontent of such initiatives, but in the end they only serve to let off steam, the initiatives go forward regardless. There is always a bigger hidden agenda at play, the truth to which is exposed AFTER the chaos and bloodshed, but those responsible are beyond reproach or accountability. Bush, Rumsfeld, Blair are prime example of this most recent expose'.😢😢😢
