omg emily ... i love how absolutely transparent you are with us about how you feel and what is on your mind. a lot of what you are worry about matches what i've been stressing over the past couple of weeks. i had several one-on-one talks with my work superiors to get myself realigned career-wise but something i did to really help myself feel like *me* was go out and buy myself a silly little coffee before heading into the office. there was a cafe i've been eyeing and one morning i was driving and decided i just needed to do something for me, completely 100% selfish act of self-indulgence. and that whole experience really helped my day start on a positive path!! sometimes mid-day walks if i can find time in my work schedule helps too and reminds me that i have a body to also take care of ^^" i love seeing your journey to finding what works best for you and it gives me a lot of inspiration. ALSO ... im so shook you went to the philz i used to work at!! if you noticed a caricature drawn in blue on the wall -- that was me! my go-to off-menu order (if you're feeling adventurous) is half arabic half hazelnut with extra cinnamon. i prefer it iced and black but i have been told it's really fantastic with some sugar and cream/milk/non-dairy milk. anyways, hope your week is starting off well and take care of your happiness! ✌🏻🌸✨
It’s actually soo important to find little joys in the everyday and I’m happy to hear you’re finding those moments of self-care amidst the hustle!! But also omg small world and I actually didn’t know what to order at Philz so I tried the Honey Haze which I really liked but next time I will try your recommendation bc I love cinnamon and hazelnut (I’ll probably have to get it with milk and sugar tho 😅)
@@emilyyenlee oooh in that case if my go-to ends up being a bit too strong on the coffee, i would also recommend trying the soul train (half philtered soul half hazelnut) with cinnamon -- this one is SUPER nutty and tastes like a treat with milk and sugar. i also feel like it's the spontaneous, compulsive decisions to do something that bring the most joy because it's like giving into the kid inside of you that just really wants a coffee or a walk or a dessert that instantly cheers you up :)
i moved to the city from south bay a couple months ago (where i lived all my life) and i am BINGE watching your videos. i am absolutely obsessed with my new neighborhood and surrounding areas! thanks for sharing all these beautiful gems. your videos are stellar 🌌
your editing style is an art style all its own! plus the jazz and street views made me tear up I love SF so freaking much. The timelapse clip of the clouds and sky made me gasp. Your style is so refreshing and it’s lovely seeing you express yourself so authentically. So many content creators tend to copy and mimic each other, making the same looking stuff and your vlog was different in the best ways. Thanks for sharing your sf life 🩵
Thanks for being open and honest about feeling 'behind in life.' I too feel that with my current job despite having a B.A. in Health Communication. I am also a very Type A and impatience person. Please know things happen when they're supposed to. You have the power to change your life when you want or are ready. Love your vlogs! :)
I don't know if you've already done a video about your career choice or area of study in school, but I was just curious about it. Did you already do a video on that or can you?
I've been thinking about starting blogging, I just moved to sf about 3 months ago from Mexico but I've been scared and am a little shy to record myself in public. Ur video gave me motivation to start doing it !
U could start recording yourself in places that arent that crowded and then build up your confidence level in more crowded areas.... If that would make you feel more comfortable.
