During his college years, Deng Lun worked and paid his own college fees. He also paid his own rent. He did not ask money from his parents. He is more mature than his age. If I were his mother, I would be very proud of him.

Deng Lun did not do any thing wrong in his tax paying in 2019/2020. However, the government changed the tax regulation in 2022, and applied the new tax regulation to the tax he paid in 2019/2020. This has resulted in that he had paid 7% less. It was a mistake. There was no malicious intention. The accountant firm that worked for him on the tax matter should be responsible for this mistake. However, Deng Lun did not blame anyone. He took all the responsibility. He is a real gentleman.
In a democratic country where people are protected by the rule of law, the government must not apply any new law to an act a person committed in the past so as to cause negative effect to that person. Sadly, the China's ruling regime does not take any regards of the rule of law princilpe. Deng Lun is a good Chinese citizen and he is ready to comply with the law. However, what had happened was just a mistake.
