Mitch's highs are 'thinner' than Kirstin's, which is how I tell them apart. The third soloist here was indeed Kirstin, followed by Mitch's high note. Scott and Matt are sometimes more difficult to tell apart, but Scott has a growl and rasp that Matt doesn't, at least from what I've heard so far.
I feel you. I’ve been listening to them since 2011 when they were on the sing off and they still manage to shock and impress me every time. It’s why I’m such a fan. That and they’re just great people. They give so much to their fans. Musically and personally.
One of my favorite songs by Ptx!!! The songs that don't have music videos sometimes get overlooked by reactors - but not you!!! Some of their best stuff is audio only! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Shout out to the Gang!! Shout Out to Cecilia!! Hope life turns your way, soon. I have been dealing with a lot, too!! You have my empathy and sympathy. Shout out to PTX!! This one is Fantastic!!!!!
OMG first time hearing this song and it's so good. It really showcases everybody's talent. Thank you for introducing me to this incredible piece of art.
Thanks for reacting to this one. This is my favorite song on Top Pop and possibly my favorite PTX song over all. I still wish they had done a video for it. Mitch's part brings me to tears.
Wow is right! They did such an amazing job with this arrangement and recording. Giving Mitch a "Dog Days" moment was a brilliant touch. Then to let him add in a Mitch slap moment too, genius! But they were all outstanding in this one.
What's so interesting for me is that Mitch has the fifth octave so mastered for his voice, aside from the b5, that he can just use different tone and techniques for chest he can reach c#5 for mix an A5 and even then he can make his pitch so short and a nasal ping that it sounds really piercing or make it more fuller or lighter if he desired. (I called it mixed instead of masked place because a famous vocal teacher and an operatic singer classified it as head heavy mix and both described it as head voice just pinging in through the nasal creating that resonance)
Sending hugs to you Cecilia 🤗 & to all the #QofyGang. So hauntingly beautiful with their powerful emotional vocals/harmonies throughout. Always perfection with PTX. #chills
You were commenting they always filled in every space...then...of course this would happen...Mitch spent a few seconds singing "I can make it on my own" by himself . I love your reactions and I think you should direct a "PTX choir". You would do an amazing job of it. Also, you have an amazing memory. When you go over a section you remember exactly the dynamics and other aspects of it. Question: Right before Mitch does his high pitched part, there is a sound that sounds like Matt doing a sideways growl. What do you think? Get better soon , Cecilia....from a Celia to a Cecilia.
Mitch, Kristen & even Scott are very good at starting off with these very different octave harmonies and slowly bringing it into line with eachother to swap over parts. It's incredible to hear, usually every time you lose track of who is singing which part.
Amazed may be the word you're looking for each time? The brilliance is always there and they never cease to amaze me; It's mind boggling when you realize they are in their prime years and are always striving to add more to their vast skillset. Love the reactions QoFy, you're so articulate and describe very well what's going on in each particular section of the song. I find myself checking your reactions first, more often than before... Well you and Jacob Restituto. 👍
Thank you for doing this song. I just came across it recently. Do you know the story behind this song? Man your reactions are so great. Thank you so much! I always hear something new that I hadn't heard before watching yours.
@@2freezefam Wikipedia article states, in part "According to Kesha, "Praying" is "about hoping everyone, even someone who hurt you, can heal."[12] The song addresses a tormentor with the lyrics: "You brought the flames and you put me through hell/ I had to learn how to fight for myself/ And we both know all the truth I could tell/ I'll just say this: I wish you farewell."[19] "
Since you don't mind doing non-video covers, I'd love to see/hear your reaction to their cover of the (2016) Ghostbusters Theme. It's often referred to as Mitch's love call to Scott. LOL ua-cam.com/video/XOcl1I1GekY/v-deo.html

Mitch’s line- “I’m proud of who I am” always brings tears to my eyes. This song is so beautiful.
i realize I am kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good place to watch newly released series online?
@Bennett Jasper Ehh I'd suggest Flixportal. You can find it thru google:) -crew
@Crew Nash thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I really appreciate it!!
@Bennett Jasper glad I could help =)
If PTX pauses in their singing, the silence is just another note in the overall music. They are amazing! 💕

Jacob Restituto interviewed Pentatonix's arranger Ben Bram just the other day. Very interesting interview.
That was a great interview - would recommend watching it.
Was great. Would be nice to have a part 2.
Do you have a link you can share?

Their standards of everything musically is so high. Never, or rarely wavier.
Happy sigh . . .
Matt starts the song and than Scott comes in . They both sound the same on on the beginning of the song.
Matt doesn’t have a solo in this song
