Thank you, Sir. I just bought one of these for one small project also. Thank y'all for the comments too. I have never used one of these so much appreciated.
I have used the expensive threaders. As others have said you need to drench it in oil. A constant flow of cutting oil. It's very messy and all the expensive ones use oil.
Thank you for your reply what used was brand new out of the box and I was working with over 1 inch pipe the biggest one that the tool is rated to do I would think it works better with the smaller sizes but the job required the size I was using
You are overworking tje tool. Drench it with oul from start to finish. Catch yje oil in a bucket and filter out the shavings with a screen and you can reuse the oil. You can also but an oiler for threading that uses the same oul ober and over by filtering out the shavings. Have a good day everyone
No oil is killing you. Need to drench that thing gonna wear the tool out

Very frequent cutting oil is a must.
add oil it will cut much better, no need to go back and forth if you keep plenty of oil
Did you have to oil while in use?
Yes
You have ruined the die - that is why it is binding up! You MUST use constant flow of thread cutting oil as you are cutting the threads.

You have to oil it constantly probably 5 times which is 5 thread lines.. that’s all you need per code
